Panera Bread in San Marcos

Brand new Panera on San Marcos Blvd! It has a huge parking lot, EV chargers, and its super nice and bright inside! Very clean and well-stocked with tons of pastries, on top of their normal foods. So delicious! We ordered the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt meal, and another to go!

I like this Panera Bread location. The staff is very friendly and keeps the place tidy. The food is well prepared and done at a good pace. On a busy lunch, the most Ive waited is 10 minutes. The food is tasty, and the portions are good.

Very well rounded and well run Panera Bread. You know what to expect Everytime you visit any Panera Bread - so nothing new on that side.The place is very clean and adequately staffed.They have a good selection of Coffee and good number of Souffle. Unlike other Panera Bread, you have a better chance to get your choice of Souffle past 10:30am here.Other than that, it is conveniently located in San Marcos with ample parking.

Nice and clean place. The sandwich was excellent, turkey, bacon, cheese.

Im not fond of posting negative reviews but hopefully it will bring about some change?Took my kids to Panera recently and was very disappointed.1 - the pricing seems way too high for basically soup and salad.2 - the food was generic. Maybe this would be OK but...3 - the dining room was a disaster. There were dishes piled by the garbage cans, used napkins & utensils all over the floors, and not a single table was clean. We picked the least dirty table we could find and cleaned it ourselves.Maybe it was a lunch rush? Nope. It was 3pm.Maybe they were understaffed? Nope. I counted 5 different employees (not counting those in the kitchen).Maybe they just dont care? Hopefully not.Either way, I wont ever be returning to this location and probably not Panera in general.

The place is a little unorganized. The service was not that good. I had a bagel my husband ordered a breakfast sandwich and they were out of the original bread it was supposed to come with so he got it on sourdough and it was a mess. We tried to find a fork to eat it with and there was nothing available and the servers were too unorganized to ask a question. Dont think well go back.

Ordered a bread bowl to go. It was very good. The staff was awesome. They were extremely busy, but the lady running the show was on her game.

Steak and white cheddar sandwich was way below average. Hardly any red onions, soggy stale bred, unremarkable steak. Id give one star but my wife liked her chicken and wild rice soup and the kids ate their mac n cheese (really tough sell, I know). Maybe I just expected too much from Panera but it definitely reinforced why I havent eaten their for many years. I wont be back.

Another great meal haf in this location. Food was hot and wait staff smiled and greeted us when we walked into the panera
