Usually, this Panera is my go-to spot to hang out and get work done. but their policy clearly says dogs and pets are allowed, so I brought my dog to which she barked ONCE and the supposed manager saw and, Im not sure if this was a joke or not, and if it was, it definitely wasnt funny. he proceeded to say if she didnt shut up he would put her down. peak comedy. they also blast loud rap music right when theyre about to close, which is very distracting. theres also an open outlet near a booth which is a fire hazard. I also saw rats in the bush right outside the back door. the food is alright, but the staff and overall environment and experience is horrible. at this point Id rather go to the one in Oakland.not to mention the place smelled like crazy. at least they gave me a free refill.

I placed a big order online, and they had it ready for me within 2 hrs. I did have to pick it up but it was ready to go 10 minutes before the scheduled time.. you rock Panera . My work colleagues enjoyed the lunch .

Among the Panera Breads I’ve seen this one may be slightly below average. A little dark inside (not very many spaces outside), slightly cluttered, service was friendly, but not overly so, food was as expected with the chicken salad sandwich heavy on the bread and not so much on the salad (and it’s called Panera Bread for a reason and not Panera Salad). The flat bread pizza was actually pretty good.Overall an OK experience.

Catering for 32 people was ordered by family and was expected to arrive at 11:15am for a meal following a funeral. No Food, No Service and No Help for Christina the manger on 9/22/2023. Couldnt get through on Paneras phones, drove to the location only to be told the order was cancelled at 7:00am. Couldnt tell me who canceled the order or what method she received the cancellation. Asked for a phone number that would actually be answered and she gave the generic number which wasnt answered which created the need to drive over. Zero way to communicate. The manager offered no resolution or apology. Confirmed with the family and order was definitely not cancelled.

When I asked specifically if the sip club included an ice coffee with syrup, which I couldnt find I the self serve kiosk, she just pointed at the menu and said, all our drinks are right there. Umm okay, back to the self service kiosk I went.Using this mens urinal was a most unpleasant experience. It is caked with yellow calcified urine all dried around the inside of the urinal, which means no one has used any cleaning products, no brushes, nothing for many weeks or months, maybe even years. The stench just standing in front of it was overwhelming.Also, I added special instructions asking for my muffin warm. It was served cold. I didnt waste my time asking them to heat it up, only to be told, we dont do that again. Its a bakery, and yet they cant figure out how to warm up a simple muffin. I cant.

This is the saddest Panera. Occasionally it is great. Other times, you can barely see the fixings on the sandwich. One time, my soup was still partially frozen. The employees always look run ragged and seems to be a high turnover, so that probably says something. They are always trying to be nice and accommodating, but their faces give away they feel they have been running up hill, backwards, in the rain.The Oakland location is much better. And consistent.Example A - the smattering of fixings that makes up my supposedly hearty chicken avocado sandwich next to what their menu says it should look like. When the bread was put together, it looked like and empty roll.

We went this morning to order a baguette. We asked the cashier if it was fresh, and she said that it was made this morning. That was a total LIE. The bread was so stale that it may have been 2 days old. She should have been honest.

I’ll start by saying when it comes to high volume fast food-quick food restaurants like this my main expectation is for affordable decent food. So the restroom needed attending, several tables needed cleaning, the front service was slow so I used the kiosk to order. There were only 2 kiosk working, 1 was right in front of the register and about 8 people trying to order. Some employees were wearing their masks incorrectly, but that’s pretty much any fast food spot. I ordered a salad with special requests, a muffin, a bagel, and a pick 2 sandwich/salad. Check your order BEFORE you walk away from pickup, using the kiosk usually helps avoid mistakes but this particular location gets busy and can get it wrong. They get it right most of the time though, and the food is tasty. Worth a visit if in the area.

Im not sure what has happened, but this Panera has completely fallen apart. The restaurant is dirty. Today they were serving sour milk. Absolutely no response from the management when you ask to talk to someone. I waited for 7 minutes no one came and I left. I overheard at least two other customers saying they will never come back here. As an example of how disorganized and poorly managed this restaurant is, look no further than the improvised serving area. If they cannot operate as a safe and clean restaurant they should get out of the way for another restaurant.

Honestly this place is a joke avoid at all costs. It was not busy at all. I ordered my sandwich a lady came after me and put her order after,she received her order way before me. I waited for 20 min for only a bacon egg and chs that was mediocre and was warm almost cold definitely not worth the 7 dollars for a sandwich. I dont frequent Panera, and this location gave me a reason to not come back. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I tried to reach out to the manager but no response.My advice dont waste your money here

A spacious indoor interior, outdoor seating, close proximity to TJs, Kohls, Safeway, several banks, Walgreens, and a bunch of other establishments makes this the perfect place to refuel while getting your day taken care of. My favorite thing there is the frontega chicken sandwich. The bakery is always fresh and the staff is generally kind and always works hard.

French bread soup bowls are good (although they need to put a lot more soup in the bowl). Low sugar drink selections are great. Prices are very reasonable, but ambience is lacking. If you want a relatively fast sit down meal and dont have very high expectations, Panera will do.

The food is always good, but usually there’s something wrong with the order when we do take out and it’s too much of a hassle. Today we ordered 2 of the same sandwich. One had some additions. We checked our bag, one of the sandwiches was a completely different sandwich off the menu. I showed them the receipt and and asked for the sandwich I ordered, they remade the sandwich incorrectly. I just left. I wasn’t going to bother.

This is a nice cozy place to come and do some studying or work on the laptop. I enjoy the atmosphere and it never gets too loud or hectic. The staff is friendly and I do like there rewards program and free treats from the bakery!! There lunches are so delicious and I’m a big fan of the half n half combos. I typical get a half sandwich with a half soup! So nice during the winter months and it’s always prepared fresh which I really do enjoy.

Food quality has really gone down hill. Veggies and fruit not so fresh, the bread for grilled cheese is like something you would get at Denny’s. And not sure how much cheese they put in but there is none left when you get the meal since it all got overcooked and flowed out the sides.Only thing still tasty is the chocolate chip cookies and tomato soup.Get it together Panera! I wasn’t pleased with the staff service. My first disappointment was that the women restroom in the handicap stall there was a piece of toilet paper on the floor flooded with urine all over it. There was a young lady in there who looked to be a staff member so I asked her is she a staff member, and her response was yes. I briefly explained to her that I needed to use that particular stall because I am handicapped and could she remove the urine toilet paper off the floor. She respond by saying that she knew that its was there but somehow when she to remove the wet toilet paper she reluctantly removed it from the floor with a piece of toilet paper liner Stain from the urine was still wet on the floor as the staff member, she didn’t properly clean the floor. My second disappointment was that many dinning tables were not cleaned, and as I watch the young adults prepared customers meals, I noticed one of the staff members, a young man preparing the meals, he was wearing his mask half with his nose not properly covered over his blue mask. My third disappointment noticing that the tables many were not cleaned when my food was ready and the staff member brought me my food to the table I asked him can my table be cleaned and his response was that he would come back to have my table clean, but he never showed back up. And there new flat bread pizza, let me just say that I should have went to MOD pizza across the way.

Cant hear because of the masks and plexiglass, I ordered pick 2, chicken salad and small squash soup and soda, my friend did pick 2,turkey sandwich and chicken soup and cookie with soda. I got a chicken sandwich with 3 very little on it and soup, no salad. I asked and the lady said, oh yeah thats what you get. But 35.oops for half sandwiches and soups. Crazy. Panera has been a to go place for broccoli cheddar soup and occasionally sadwiches and salads. Well today we got our order “spiced up” with the fly in it! So gross! 🤢😩 ( didn’t remember to take a pic, but this review should at least wake them up to get their service on the level it used to be)Went to the front desk, manager was called and she apologized and gave me refund at least... As I can understand that these buzzers end up on foods, but to be nicely mixed in your salad - that is just pure negligence!Even sandwiches were not as great and their pastry was stale... This store is going from bad to worse. They used to have friendly staff, but in the last few years, they have very unfriendly and cashiers who dont even say hello. The place is usually freezing and music is blasting. They could also make better coffee considering this is San Francisco Bay area. It feels like they could have better management.

Service and food was good until... I odered my food near closing time and the cashier asked if I wanted a cookie. I said I did and paid for it with my order. When my food was delivered to my table, my cookie wasnt on my tray. On the way out the door, I went to the counter to request my cookie. At that time, the cashier was cleaning out the cookie and pastry rack into a garbage bag on the floor. She looked at the rack, looked down at the garbage bag and...Wait for it...She grabbed a cookie out of the bag on the floor, put it in a cookie wrapper bag and handed it to me. Oh, by the way, the manager was standing there watching all this. I had to get back to work and didnt have time to explain to them why this was wrong so the cookie went into the garbage on the way out the door. I will be back tomorrow to chat with the manager about this one.

Healthy alternative to a burger. Staff is friendly and helpful (as you would expect from Alameda). Food a little too healthy for NE though as I like a little more calorie. Inside is very comfy, with some carpeting to reduce background noise level. Overall, pleasantly surprised with experience.

Very disappointed with staff. Employees knocked cups to the floor next to fountain machine, picked them up and placed them back next to machine. Cups are for customers who just want a cup of water. The 5 second rule never applies in food service. People are using cups you picked up off the floor. The staff needs re-training. Customers trust you!

Disappointed and upset with the customer service rep, Janick, at the Alameda location today. She rushed me on my orders and her attitude was unacceptable. Didn’t smile and act like she hated her job. I told her from the beginning that I wanted to used my gift card Verizon had gave me thru email and she said, “you can only use it at the end”. I was like, I know, I want to use it to pay for my order. She asked for a pin for the gift card I received in my email which it doesn’t have a pin. I felt she was rushing me and I feel so uncomfortable bcuz there were a couple of people behind me so I ended up paying for it all on my debit card. She shouldn’t be there if she’s not happy.

I love Panera! ...usually...The last time I went, though, I was underwhelmed. I ordered a bagel and asked for it bread sliced, then ordered a frozen lemonade. My entire purchase was $5.The bagel was given to me cut in half, instead, and the $4 lemonade with ice in it only filled half of the cup.Less than impressed. Thinking I should have just gone next door to jamba juice and actually gotten some quality for the same price.

I love love love Panera especially this location right next to the beach. I come and get their year round pumpkin muffins not muffies but the whole muffin not just the top. Their fresh french bread is so yummy with a side of chicken noodle soup.My only complaint is that if you want your muffin or pastry warmed up the clerk will point you towards the microwave and tell you to heat it up there. NO after buying a muffin that cost close to $3.00 you cant go to the trouble of heating it up for me like my Real favorite bakery Specialties. Where all day you can see and smell fresh baked goods coming out of their ovens and they will heat up anything you buy for you. That is what I call customer service. So for not taking care of your customers completely you get three stars from me. Specialities Bakery which you can find in Oakland 12st street, San Francisco, Emeryville, ect all locations that I have visited gets 5 stars!!!

Love this place. Very cozy, warm and relaxing. Great fresh hot soup with a French roll. Couple of sizes. You can order ahead and pick it up or eat there. Just let them know if u plan on eating there. Today I had a very unpleasant experience. The sandwich (turkey, cheese and apple) was served on bread with a crust so tough that I couldnt bite through it. The lettuce/slaw fell out and the cheese was very dry. Next I tried the ceasar salad. The dressing tasted like vinegar. The only good item was the coffee.

Ive try them in the past, but just wasnt into them. So todays WSJ paper read how is Panera doing it where other chains are not? Turns out theyre going with sustainable as much as possible, and are working with local farmers. It was getting late I didnt expect trays and trays of goodies late. Got in line hoping for blueberry cobblestone muffin. Not one in sight. Went with a cinnamon roll and a soup of day. Service is average, but went by unnoticeably quick. Smiles and thank you as I left.

This is a smaller panera than most ive been too. But they always will correct your order to make sure Your staified. Its does have busy hours.. Love bagel tuesdsys cabt beat $6.99 for 13 bagels. On top of those great rewards from panera with the rewards card. Free bagel everyday all minth long to free cup of coffee or smoothie. Or maybe a free salad or sandwhich. The rewards are like bonuses for just making a healthier choice in your life. I love that an acutal food chain is making the extra steps to make everthing fresh on top of no artificials in its foods. As a mom thats a plus i want a healthier option fir myself as well as my child.

At St Louis, a lot of people still used to call it St. Louis Bread proudly! This store chain was started there since 1987. The name as Panera ( bread basket in Latin) started 1997. The food here always are healthy and yummy! This store also has one more advantage: you can walk to the beach from here!

The baked breads are acceptable in a pinch, but Semifreddis, Acme, or Metropolis are all superior products (and readily available in the nearby Safeway). Slight farther is Feel Good Bakery, which literally and figuratively takes the cake on local bakeries. Outside of baked goods, Panera serves sandwiches, salads, coffee. I found the food weak in quality, overly drenched/fatty, and the coffee terribly weak.

It is the first time I have been there, to order there is a computer, then they call you, the delivery was quite fast and the sandwiches were very delicious, the only thing I didnt like is that they gave me the drinks in a cardboard cup and I expected a cup of glass, otherwise everything is good and it is not very expensive, I will go again to continue tasting.
