Pepper Lunch exceeded my expectations! The jumbo beef sizzling plate was fantastic--tender beef, well-seasoned rice, and the added bonus of complimentary sides for Yelp check-in made it even better. The affordability of the meal was a pleasant surprise. The availability of various sauces and seasonings at the counter allowed me to customize my dish. Im definitely planning to return and explore more options. A solid 5/5 experience.This location has a lot more seating than the other ones. Service was great too!

This is my second time visiting Pepper Linch. The first time was a wow!!! The meat was flavorful and the bottom of the rice was crispy.Because our first awesome experience, my husband and I decided to eat there again. I am sorry to say, the second time was a bit disappointing. The meat wasnt as flavorful and the bottom of the rice wasnt crispy.I sent mine back to put it on the stove for a bit longer because it wasnt as sizzling as the first time I visited. The fat in the meat was still not cooked.The first time, the fat was good with the sizzling hot plate and added some flavor but not this time. Even after I sent it back, the food came out quite quickly. I dont think the plate was even hot.I am usually the picky one but my husband also noticed the flavorless meat. I was able to eat my meal without using any sauces at my first visit but the second time, I had to use a lot of the sauces.The front of the house services were great. When I send the plate back, the person was very friendly and helpful. I just wish the kitchen staff would actually cook it longer.I hope my next visit will be like my first visit.

The food is delicious, however, if you dont know what youre doing it is a bit confusing, like when one walks in, there is a sign that says please wait to be seated, then you order and pick a table.The food was amazing, I have had this delivered several times, in person is a different animal, and worth the confusing entrance. We had the curry, and it was fantastic. We will be back.

I went here for the first time recently and I was quite pleased with my experience. The service was good. It’s a strange concept where you pay at the register first and then get seated. The food was good as well. I was a bit skeptical of getting served raw food on a hot plate but the food was able to cook nicely. I wouldn’t complain about the prices either.

Fun experience and tasty food with good portions. Customizable toppings.Ordered Beef Kimchi peppered lunch with seaweed salad on the side.Order in-person or via their self serve kiosk. Food is served hot on an iron plate, just mix mix mix, add pepper, salt, or garlic sauce to your taste, and enjoy! Certain dishes already have set toppings like protein cheese and veggies, but you can customize or substitute with other options.Pros: perfect portions as I was satisfied after wolfing down a plate. staff are friendly and drinks are self serve. relatively fast service. great dining atmosphere for group gatherings or a casual dinner date.Cons: fountain drinks were over-carbonated and lacked syrup. seaweed salad was a rip off as there was about a spoonful of seaweed compared to a cup of spring greens and two scoops of corn. the dishes are a bit on the salty side, but I found that adding garlic sauce and drinking water on the side doesnt harm the flavor, but enhances it.

Clean and relaxed atmosphere. Service is good. But I feel the meat is getting less.Photo is jumbo beef rice and the waiter says the meat is doubled for $5 extra. Just cannot imagine regular beef rice. Or maybe I have not been there too long and forgotten about it?The taste is still good though.

Found this place in random. always been searching for JP style Hamburger Steak.Great lunch location; if you just want a quick one; from order to food comes out in 10min.whatever you ordered will be served on hot sizzling iron plate; so be careful, dont burn yourself.

I am so happy I don’t have to drive 45 minutes anymore to eat here. I love cooking my own food. I really enjoy their miso soup. I only wish they had an decaffeinated unsweetened drink option besides water. But Their food is delicious and it has made me fat, thank you!

I love the kimchi beef pepper rice! My husband usually orders the hamburg steak with curry which is also delicious. The staff is helpful. Usually the food is out in less than five minutes. Overall, great place for lunch. Just be careful, the food is so good you always go in for a bite before it cools down enough. Lol!

The Vegas location is much better. This is my 4th time in Cerritos. Sadly, the surf and turf is less than half of the portion. Pieces of entree didnt even fill the hot plate. Over $55 for lunch for 2!! Never again will I return. The steak was half fat and only bits of shrimp. Never ever again!!

Super impressed with this place. The food is high quality and delicious. Great ambiance and the staff were really friendly. After spending 10 days eating out in OC, this has been my favorite new restaurant.

I mean it’s decent but not sure it’s worth $30 for one meal 🙄 their add-ons are too pricey ($1.75 each for onions, mushroom, kimchi, and one egg). This is also double meat because their regular beef pepper rice doesn’t have enough meat in it.

We were in the area so we decided to try this place. We ordered 3 plates to share and it was delicious. My 2 younger kids was not too happy, the meat was too peppery for their taste. We finished everything so that says a lot about the the food. Food came out fast so we were satisfied...

Meats are fresh and tasty and I like their curry too. It is now Covina19 but you can still eat on out side table. You can order for serving and also they let to-go customers use table too. Great option for lunch. I hope I can eat dine in soon.

Pricey for what it is. My bowl wasnt hot enough to properly cook all of my meat, but everyone elses at the table was.Would have been better with a hotter plate. Staff was a little bit short with us when we asked for soy sauce.

Beef and eel tasted great. However, for the price point of all the items, the servings sizes you get with regard to the meat portions are small, and hence, diminishes the value of the resto. Okay to try one time, but you won’t be coming back.

Excellent service and quality of food! The food and drinks are more of a order yoursf type of place. However, the atmosphere feels very homey, especially with the heavy air coming from cooking the meats and rice.The dishes are a little expensive, but youre getting the quality you pay for! My favorite dish is still always going ro be the Beef with Rice and Cheese and Onions as toppings.

They are open till 10 pm. We got there at 9:12 and they wouldnt seat us or let us order food to go. So disappointed. There were still many people eating inside. Ill still eat Pepper Lunch in the future but Ill only give my business to and reccomend their other locations. Seems they were more interested in closing as soon as possible rather than making customers happy or making money. By the way their outside tables had no one sitting at them but many of them were covered in the past customers plates, trays, garbage, and un eaten food. Who knows how long its been like that. We sat in the parking lot for over 15 min looking for other open restaurants before we headed out and by 9:30 when we left they still were not cleaned. Very disappointed.

Been wanting to try this place for a while. Havent been able to for some reason or another, but finally did today. Fast service, clean restaurant. Staff was super friendly. Even apologized for the food taking so long, even though it wasnt a long wait at all, I had the big beef with pepper rice (added an egg,onions and mushrooms). Will be back soon, need to try different plates. Make sure to try both the sauses. The garlic sause (IMO) is the best, the sweet sause is a bit too sweet for me. Fyi, if you add the egg, make sure to mix it in fast. It cooks really quick on the skillet.

Pepper lunch in US just cant compare to the chains in Asia. The guy manning the cashier/guests was friendly, but we waited for 10+ minutes just to order food when there was no one else in line. The guy prioritized wiping down sauces for empty tables before deciding to punch in our order... 🤦🏻‍♀️ The food was okay too. You do get a free side of fries which was interesting.

The food was good. Honestly the pricing felt a bit high, because the portions are kinda small, and especially for food that can honestly be easily made at home. Especially in Asian families where you have similar meals/ingredients at home anyway. But still was really good and would recommend and come back.

The food was delicious. I ordered to-go, so it comes pre-cooked in a take out bowl instead of being cooked in a hot stone bowl. The kimchi beef rice was really good. You can taste the chunks of ground pepper in it. 4 stars only because it was a bit pricey for a family dinner for the amount that we received.

Put pep in your step (along with your lunch) at Pepper LunchOriginally planning lunch at Mian Sichuan Gourmet Noodles, only to find its closed on Tuesdays, Plan B became neighboring Pepper Lunch. Pepper Lunch has been in business at this location for awhile, but Ive been reticent to dine here, as pics of their signature beef pepper rice seemed rather meager. The rice seems to be the main, and the beef more the side dish. Still, wanting to give businesses a fair shake, I dropped in, hoping to select a winning entree.Salmon & Angus cut steak Combo Deluxe-The Combo Deluxe comes with choice of 2 proteins - chicken/hamburg/Angus cut steak/salmon. Im not too fond of the taste of salmon, but Pepper Lunchs salmon only had a subtle hint of it. The skin was also left on, which adds greatly to the overall taste. The Angus cut steak was perfectly medium rare, the succulent fat melting upon my tastebuds. The corn, beansprouts, green beans & carrot medallions rounded out the dish. The onion rings brought everything together, bringing their crunchy texture.Service was okay. Upon walking in, there are 2 tablets to place orders. They didnt seem to be up & running, so I just went to the register & had staff take my order. At the time, only takeout & outdoor dining is permitted. I chose a table, and hardly waited at all till my food arrived, sizzling hot. Unfortunately, I was never checked upon, and when asking for a cup of water while ordering, I was told Pepper Lunch only sells bottled water to customers. Parking is via a private lot at the Fresh Catch shopping center.Despite not having staff come by my table once while dining outdoors, nor offering water cups to paying customers, Im willing to forego those minor offenses for the very delicious Combo Deluxe lunch I had. Having 2 protein options, I found the portions to be reasonable, and the quality of the Angus cut steak & salmon were both up to snuff. Having arrived home after eating, I found a Pepper Lunch flyer in the mail with coupons, including BOGO Free Entree. Suffice to say, Im a fan & Ill certainly be back!

My first time trying their food and its delicious. Im giving them a 4 star as I paid for eggs on both dishes, drove all the way home which is 20 mins out to find out theres no eggs. Lesson learn to please check your food before taking off.

Food is nice but not sure if clean because their utensils are dirty.. the spoons have dried marks that as if it just came from the mouth and some has white residue, that looks like dried soap and the forks have some dried food in between tines... tables are not wipe well..
