I will give a zero star. No minus star. I put in the order online @11:50 am. I was done with my schedule, so I call the store to expedite the order a little. The lady told me that no order was made with my name, even though I received confirmation of order. So I went to the store and then they told me that they just got the order . So I waited a few minutes later Tamia the lady who works there told me they were out of bone less wings that I ordered. Amazing ! Never again ! After I picked up my order I went home . I was very upset and found out they shorted me 4 drum sticks . My order was 10 drum sticks they gave only 6. Unbelievable !

Where have all the good men gone?At Pho Little Saigon?Wheres the Viet-wise Hercules? To eat the steaming pho till its gone? - parody of Holding Out For A Hero, Bonnie TylerFormerly Pho Jackie, Pho Little Saigon has been one of my go-to to-go pho places locally. Im in the shopping plaza regularly, as Im usually at the 99 Cent Only store in search of good finds. After a brisk shopping spree, I headed to Pho Little Saigon for some soul soothing soup.#2 House Special Combination Pho, large-With a broth that was light, yet with a distinct taste which Im unclear as to what it was, the combo pho was nice & plenty in the portion dept. The various cuts of meat were tender & juicy. I always ask for extra bean sprouts, and Pho Little Saigon had no problem fulfilling my request. I was told the wait would be 5 minutes, and my to-go order of pho came out at about the designated time.Service was good. I asked and was given water to drink while waiting for my order. I saw a container of whey protein behind the register and jokingly asked How much do you charge for a scoop of whey protein powder in my pho? Ample seating via handsome bamboo furniture. Flatscreen TVs available for diners viewing pleasure.Parking is at the Artesia Town Centre, which can be packed during the prime hours, shared by Bakers & Baristas, Tampopo, Sweetee Thai & other businesses. With a lot of options for pho around Cerritos/Artesia, Pho Little Saigon shouldnt be overlooked when youre in search of soup or other Vietnamese dish. Prices are competitive, and service is friendly & hospitable. With a 5 minutes turn around for pho, customers can quickly get in & out when pressed for time. During my next visit, I might just dine in & try one of their highly regarded rice dishes, ending my meal with a refreshing smoothie or 3 bean drink.Highly recommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
WaBa Grill

I bought a salmon bowl, but as you can see in the pictures, the slice of salmon was like 3 oz only, very little and thin. And the rest was lots of rice. It is the first time I buy in any waba restaurants. But for me it was so so expensive to get only this for over $9 ??? since if I go Mimis restaurant I will get double salmon with veggies and rice for $13 and if I get a coupon from them I will get it for free in a Bogo. Secondly I ordered and then a couple ordered 2 plates and they were served first. So, I do not know what is going on in there but I am posting the real food pictures. Oh btw I am adding a measurement of the salmon piece the same large as a medium egg. And. As you can see there were no chopped onions on top, and if I wished to have little veggies Id had to pay a dollar extra ?. I do not think I will go back. But definitely in this location the owner does need to do something.
Pepper Lunch
11632 South St #103, Artesia, CA 90701, United States
Put pep in your step (along with your lunch) at Pepper LunchOriginally planning lunch at Mian Sichuan Gourmet Noodles, only to find its closed on Tuesdays, Plan B became neighboring Pepper Lunch. Pepper Lunch has been in business at this location for awhile, but Ive been reticent to dine here, as pics of their signature beef pepper rice seemed rather meager. The rice seems to be the main, and the beef more the side dish. Still, wanting to give businesses a fair shake, I dropped in, hoping to select a winning entree.Salmon & Angus cut steak Combo Deluxe-The Combo Deluxe comes with choice of 2 proteins - chicken/hamburg/Angus cut steak/salmon. Im not too fond of the taste of salmon, but Pepper Lunchs salmon only had a subtle hint of it. The skin was also left on, which adds greatly to the overall taste. The Angus cut steak was perfectly medium rare, the succulent fat melting upon my tastebuds. The corn, beansprouts, green beans & carrot medallions rounded out the dish. The onion rings brought everything together, bringing their crunchy texture.Service was okay. Upon walking in, there are 2 tablets to place orders. They didnt seem to be up & running, so I just went to the register & had staff take my order. At the time, only takeout & outdoor dining is permitted. I chose a table, and hardly waited at all till my food arrived, sizzling hot. Unfortunately, I was never checked upon, and when asking for a cup of water while ordering, I was told Pepper Lunch only sells bottled water to customers. Parking is via a private lot at the Fresh Catch shopping center.Despite not having staff come by my table once while dining outdoors, nor offering water cups to paying customers, Im willing to forego those minor offenses for the very delicious Combo Deluxe lunch I had. Having 2 protein options, I found the portions to be reasonable, and the quality of the Angus cut steak & salmon were both up to snuff. Having arrived home after eating, I found a Pepper Lunch flyer in the mail with coupons, including BOGO Free Entree. Suffice to say, Im a fan & Ill certainly be back!
NAM Kitchen

As a first timer, my first impression upon entering the restaurant were:Wow the decor is very well done and the AC feels great in here.Immediately followed by:Why are there so many dirty tables? We came in on a Sunday, late afternoon. It took about 10-15 minutes for someone to grab our order. The Toast QR code/website for them doesnt work properly (yet?). Dont expect the super speedy service you might expect from a smaller mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant.Once we did get our two filet mignon pho bowls, we enjoyed the broth, the healthy portions of noodles, generous accoutrements, and overall flavor.I do believe this place is new so theyre working out staffing and flow. There were tables still requiring bussing as we left the restaurant. An hour or so of dirty dishes sitting on multiple tables. Our server was short and rushed. There were spilled sprouts that he left on the ground next to us for half the meal (about 15 minutes). To a first timer, it makes me question the overall cleanliness of the restaurant (and its kitchen).I hope that this establishment can get its service in order as it matures. Though the food was great, we are left a little less than satisfied with the service. I believe it betrays how well they designed the space and the quality of their food.Im hoping to revisit this place sometime in the future and if the service element improves, I will update my rating for this restaurant.
LUV DDUK - KFOOD
12243 Artesia Blvd, Cerritos, CA 90703, United States
We ordered the least amount of spice, called Honey. my friend pointed to it and said no spice. I think the waitress either misunderstood and put the next option little spice, or there is no such thing as no spice because my friend and I, (shes chinese, Im white) were dying. the only one of us who seemed completely fine was our Mexican friend. All the spice stuff aside, it did have decent flavor but everyone at our table agreed weve had better for a better price. The toppings we got were skimpy. it looks like the cheese was a stick of unshredded string cheese that they tossed on top before cooking. There were 4 of us and only 3 sausages (I was the one that went without a sausage so I cant tell you if they were good or not). We ordered garlic chicken wings, the server said they come garlic or fried. they may have well been both due to the extremely crunchy nature of the breading. it was hard, too hot to handle, and when one is to take a bite, youll get nothing but breading for the majority of the wing. I swear I spent a good 5 minutes or longer on one wing (trying to peel off some of the breading) and the net outcome was less than a full bite of meat. We ordered cheese corn which was a plate with a single layer of corn kernels on it topped with cheese and melted. There was not very much of that, as an appetizer meant to be shared between people we each got maybe two spoonfuls. The best thing on the menu that we tried was the Jumbo Bulgogi Fried Rice which was neither jumbo nor fried. It had crispy, salty strips of seaweed that added a good flavour and crisp to the rice and meat. The size of the plate was the same size as the plates they give the free (with meal) pasta salads and radishes. For one person its maybe a regular size, but definitely is not jumbo, and especially when youre sharing with the table. The yupdduk itself, nice chewy texture to the rice cakes and the fish cakes were tender and soft like how they are expected to be. Decent flavour but like I said earlier, honey isnt honey-like at all. It was so spicy that I was glad I ordered the chicken wings just so I could have the bucket (meant for bones) to put all of my napkins in. I ordered a drink at the beginning, strawberry sake, and Im glad I did because it was the really good brand of sake, plus we were constantly running out of water so while my mouth was on fire from the spiciness of the least spicy yupp... Overall it was $72 (paid with cash) and an $8 tip. I paid 20 something because of my drink and my friends all paid around 17 each. I think that adds up right Im not good at math. There was a bakery/Asian food/boba place around the corner that Im upset we didnt eat at instead. (my friend that suggested yupdduk had never actually eaten here and we picked on her about it all day)
MAKA GRILL
1929 W Artesia Blvd, Compton, CA 90220, United States
I went here because the food looked really good & the reviews supported that. When i first came in the lady ignored me & spoke to every one else around me. I ordered one roll it took her 30 mins to give to me but made sure to give everyone else their food even tho they ordered multiple items and came in AFTER ME. Even the guy who came in after me and got his food before looked at me like something wasn't right. I won't come back again because I don't like spending my money in places that discriminate against me. If you don't want a person of color eating your food which is strange people yall are people of color then establish that at the ENTRANCE. She always had on no gloves while preparing my food and drowned my roll in sauce smh.

Luka
11700 South St Suite 105, Artesia, CA 90701, United States
So glad I got to stop by Luka on the way home - the new dinner service from Bakers & Baristas.First, lets talk ambience. Although Luka uses the basic set-up of the structure of Bakers & Baristas, the team does a great job creating an entirely different, classy mood. The whole restaurants glows a bit more with a sexier orange light and candles all over the restaurant. Low-playing jazz and other suave songs play throughout the background.Second, lets talk the menu and style. The menu shows off an array of really of Asian Fusion / New American dishes. I unfortunately wasnt hungry enough to try a wide breadth but heres what I did get to order:*Marinated Cherry Tomatoes: Came highly recommended and granted, Im normally not a huge tomato fan. I think this was solid. I ate every last tomato and loved the dressing and ricotta. Just a nice mix of seasoning that helped create a smooth mix of flavors. The ricotta definitely was the star for me that helped elevate the dish.*Spicy blue prawns: My favorite of the night. Beautifully cooked, juicy prawns in a sauce that was simply was magnificent. The staff was so nice to add a baguette to soak all the sauce up in. A great mix of seasoning and spices.*Sundae: Probably the most beautiful dish of the night. The sundae was such a clever mix of complex and bold sweet flavors. The yuzu curd may not be to everyones liking but I thought it added such a nice zing at the end of every bite (make sure to scoop it up from the bottom).*Skin contact Straka wine: A good list of various wines and more to come apparently! A perfect complement to the meal. They also had an espresso menu at the end as well as some beer options. This all came out to about $80ish by the end of the meal.Service, which was mainly from the server, Jerrill, and the rest of the Luka team, was great and super attentive with constant water refills; great explanations about the menu; and a breakdown of the curated wine list.Parking is similar where there is usually enough parking in the lot (go past the restaurant to the middle area where there is usually a mix of more parking). Yes, the parking lot is super funky with some spaces that are super tight / not really realistic but think theres always something available.Kudos to the B&B team - hoping to try more in round 2 in the future!
Awaze Ethio Fusion & Vegan Restaurant
18764 Pioneer Blvd, Artesia, CA 90701, United States
So I accidentally find this hidden GEM (in Artesia of all places) in pursuit of other cuisine which at this point shall remain nameless. Let me start by stating that I have lived in DC and am a HUGE fan of Ethiopian food. I cannot even begin to share how much I have craved and missed outstanding Ethiopian food. The Food Gods smiled upon me and I found myself at Awaze. We walked in the door and the restaurant was empty but it was raining and we are in Cali so what can I say? We were greeted by our hostess and sever who seated us. There were no other customers in the restaurant. We reviewed the menu which is very extensive. Eventually we decided on the Combo (feeds 3-4) and the MAGIC started to happen. There were still no customers. We could hear the sound of fresh vegetables being diced in the kitchen and soon the air was wafting with familiar aromas. Our food was delivered to our table. From the first bite it was INSTANT smiles! My niece had never experienced Ethiopian food and she was absolutely delighted! The service and the food were both absolutely amazing! The portions were generous. It was authentic, fresh, and comforting. Each bite became more delicious than the last.As a word of caution I strongly advise that you order more than the combo for a party of 3-4 unless you want to lose friends (smile). The two of us devoured the entire combination with not as much as a sliver of injera to take home. Its not because the portions are small, it is because the food is just that tasty! We kept trying to stop but couldnt. Yet, there are still no customers besides one walkin for an online order. We finish our meal and request the check. We asked the server about the hours. Apparently they provide an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET on Fridays that we had just missed the rush. What!!!! They have been open less than six months but I have a funny feeling that I soon will have to make reservations to get in.If youre in the market for an incredible cultural experience with exceptional food and service, run, do not walk to Awaze! You will not be disappointed!Real Foodie
