Ph Saigon in Redding

I ordered number 44- chicken and shrimps with rice noodles and it was delicious. Only thing was that I had only 2 shrimps and lots of chicken. So I would appreciate if next time would be there more shrimps 😅 my husband loves Vietnamese coffee (very sweet and bitter) and here it was less bitter then on other places but still very good 🙂

Stopped here for lunch before heading out to camping. We had a group of six people. We walked in here and the restaurant was empty. We all had pho and it was alright. What was disappointing was each one of us got one sheet of thin napkin? Can you imagine eating Pho with just one sheet of napkin? I ordered Vietnamese Ice Coffee with condensed milk. It was very disappointing that all I got was just a package of G7 mixed with hot water. If that is what I want, I could have gotten it myself for less than $1. I paid $5 for this? There is no customer service here. Very sad.

I lived in the Bay Area for 6-7 years and have had the best and most authentic Pho there is to have in the US. It has been hard finding a place that compares to the places I have been to in the Bay Area, until now. Pho Saigon is amazing! We knew right away that the food was going to be just as good as when we lived in the Bay. I HIGHLY recommend coming here to have their food. We had the deep fried rolls (A-1) as an appetizer and the Beef noodle soup #2 and #6. I wish I would have been patient to have taken pictures, but the food looked and smelled too amazing to wait!

While driving from Oregon to California, we were craving Vietnamese food and this place was the only place within 100 miles that offered Banh Mi and Pho! (Exaggerating on the 100 miles) We we’re disappointed they didn’t have any sandwiches due to supply issues but the pho was super tasty! The lady was super nice and kind and chit chatted with us a bit while we were waiting on our food. We highly recommend this place to any one who is considering eating here. March 18, 2022 Thursday at 2 PM. First time coming to this restaurant. Vietnamese woman employee about age 58 was rude in front of me while three other customers was dining in. I think she is the store owner. I ordered four beef noodle, when she got the food ready I paid and checked my to go order to see if there are four beef noodle in the box. She came and asked me if everything is okay. I opened one box and asked her, “Is there Sriracha sauce?” because I couldn’t tell if she put it in the cup or not. She said rudely and angrily, “It’s all mixed in the cup. Why you worried? Everything is fine. I do everything good.” She sounded rude. I paid with my own money and I expect everything to be in it because I don’t want to have to come back because of something missing. The beef noodle is too expensive too. I ordered four #6 medium to go and the total was $52.. I was expecting about $40. Seems it is about $11 each but in the common city it is about $8. So, it is too expensive. I’m a big fan of beef noodle pho, it is my favorite, and I eat it a lot... but this one didn’t taste that good and the soup wasn’t boiled hot enough. Should be respectful to customers. Takes too long to complete order also. Seems she’s the only person working there. Worst Saigon restaurant I ever went to. Would not come again.Edited: As reviewer Pamela S. stated.. I see I’m not the only one saying employee owner is rude.

Not going to lie, I felt a bit of hesitation about this place after I read some of the reviews, but all of that disappeared the moment I tasted the food. I ordered the vegetarian vermicelli noodles and it was delicious. The owner was very sweet and polite, and even took the time to personally ask if everything was satisfactory.

We were passing through Redding and were looking forward to having pho and spring rolls when we came across Pho Saigon. Everything was going great until my lady took a bite out of this spring roll and found a hair. We notified our waitress and showed her what we had found and she began to argue with us that it wasn’t a hair. She dug around inside the roll pointing out everything except the hair and then tried to give it back to us(and no she didn’t have gloves on). We told her to throw it away and waited for her to try n make it right which she never did. I would never have written this bad review if she would have owned up to it because mistakes do happen, but because she acted like it never happened and it was our fault here we go!

Amazing service and food. Wait times can be a little longer never more then 20 min. Still worth it, its just a lady and her husband running the small business. Plenty of parking Very easy for handicapped people. The place is small tucked away in a little shopping center its kept nice and clean, the owners are peaceful friendly and its definitely the best tasting Vietnamese food in Redding California..

A Vietnamese family of 4 generations was having a party.Menu was s huge and food was fresh and tasty.
