Customer service is pretty bad- rude, very unorganized, and with an attitude. Food was bland at best. We ordered different bowls and plates and they all tasted funky. Two of us even got sick. The whole time we were eating, even after we finished, we never got our drinks. Pretty pricey for the quality we had. The area is dirty too. Try at your own risk.
Oh my goodness!!! Ive been to literally 5 different Pho places this month in the bay since I drive uber and FINALLY I found a place that makes great PHO with a lot of meat and noodles for the same price but with more meat and noodles. Pho combination!!!
Im almost embarrassed to admit that I get pho here almost every week. Its my main go-to restaurant for the nights I want my comfort food and its so easy for me to call in my order, drive a few minutes and pick it up. The service is fast and friendly and the pho and fresh spring rolls or crispy egg rolls are always delicious. I highly recommend dining in or ordering take out!
This is a little Gem in Richmond!! If youre in the area, this is a must go! The pho is heaping with noodles and a ton of broth! The vermicelli dishes are full of flavorful veggies and bbq options. We come from the WC area when we are craving Pho! The staff is friendly, attentive and entertaining. When we ask for extra sides, they dont skimp out! The boba drinks are great too! My kids love them!! Definitely a place to try! You wont be disappointed!!
The owners wife is very rude and nasty! And doesnt Value the customers. I was served old cooked chicken and I politely let her know (plate still full), she basically was upset that i pointed it out and was very loud pointing out that other customers arent complaining! Ive never felt so embarrassed!. Her attitude was disgusting. And I refuse to receive this kind of service. After being a loyal customer I discontinued this place.
Out of town, we were looking for a good pho place. Will not recommended it if you have had good pho in the past, it’s a let down. The food, chicken tasted old, veggies were decent. The service was a 3/10 at best. Unorganized. If you have been eating there for 10 years and not know any better, just saying, it could be much better.
Ive been coming here for years. Until yesterday I ordered steak with my vermicelli noodles. The steak tasted so nasty. Taste like cleaner. The owner was a short chubby light complected lady. She told me that the meat was good. Basically calling me a liar. We argued for 5 minutes. She wanted to be right. I dont mind paying, its the principle of the situation. I even gave them a 20 dollar tip. Never going back because of that lady.
I ordered spring rolls [shrimp] & they were another persons order... It took less than 30 seconds...[🤮] to get them. They were warm, had peanut sauce [ Im very allergic]. The host was rude & impatient. I will NEVER recommend or go there EVER! EVER! AGAIN!
Excellent food. Price to quantity ratio is comparable to other Pho place. To me this place seem to have a better soup base than other places Ive tried. They could improve some cleanliness though since the sauces at the table are sticky when you hold it as well as the walls. Could be limited parking but side street should be open.
I have always enjoyed their take out noodle soup. Never had a chance to dine in.A family member recently took me there after the County allowed the restaurant to open up and have limited seating.It was a diaster.There was zero customer service.The waitress took our order with barely a smile. She never offered water and never came back after she brought our food to see if everything was OK.There were only 3 tables that evening a week ago.What the heck? Maybe it was an isolated incident.I went back with 2 friends yesterday afternoon at 5pm.The same thing happened but this time, but the waitress brought water.Same thing.She brought the order and never returned to see if we needed anything else.I asked for the bill and she said I had to pay the cashier in the other room.No sincerity whatsoever and I gave her a good tip.Ive had 2 bad experiences in the same week.I will not be returning other than to get take out.Too bad. I dont want to strike out so Im going to sit out on the indoor dining.The unwelcomed experience has left a bitter taste.The meal wasnt cheap. It was over $73. dollars. I can do better elsewhere.A word to the wise is sufficient.Do not go there and pay to get snubbed.End of story.
Yikes! Im actually in the restaurant and not happy. 5 mixed groups walked in after us (2) and all got served before us. It was obviously a racial thing, which Ive NEVER said anywhere. Eeryone else was Latino, Phillipino and Asian. Waitress was rude, food was ok and another couple had hair in their food and were ignored. They finally walked out! Another couple asked (8 times) for a missing order and finally gave up. That person ate off of others plates. Shocking to see in 2022!
I love their vermicelli bowls. I always get grilled chicken. I wish they had lemongrass chicken or five spice chicken, but the grilled chicken vermicelli bowl is great with or without spring roll. Their Thai Iced Tea is also exceptional. Now that I know they have jasmine milk tea (with BOBA!!!), it’ll be the death of me. The menu shows these additional toppings for milk tea: crystal boba, lychee jelly, egg pudding, grass jelly, aloe vera jelly, rainbow jelly, French vanilla ice cream. But they also have regular ol’, amazing, sent from God, boba—even though I don’t see it on the menu.If you choose to give a thumbs-up 👍🏽 or not, I hope you found my review helpful!
Use to be a good choice but management is uncaring. The boss lady (and i use the word lady in a raw fashion) has gotten very greedy and very grossly Unfriendly. I would recommend to all that read this to find another restaurant that appreciates their customer base. Owners are horribly RUDE and havent the slightest idea on how to be pleasant. SAVE your Hard Earned money.
Ordered barbecue ribs yesterday and it wasnt great. there was more fat than the actual meat on it. not worth $20 and i dont recommend this place. it used to be great until the change of owner
I took two friends to this restaurant because the one with a birthday wanted Italian food. I didnt know anything about this restaurant, although I have ridden by it on my bike occasionally. I havent come here since I quit my old job. The place has been remodeled and looks a bit nicer. The parking lot now has gates so no trespassers can park there at night. The bathroom also looks a lot cleaner.Their grilled pork vermicelli used to be my favorite. I got the same thing today but looks different. The meat a lot fattier. It was still good though. The sauce seemed to have less MSG this time. I got less thirsty.Dont forget to pay at the front. There are no signs. Oh, and just any other Vietnamese restaurant I have eaten at the workers and owners do not know how to say thank you.
I ordered some shrimp chow mein and the shrimp was improperly cleaned with the tails on, it kinda tasted weird too. The place is also kinda shady but it was good. There is definitely better food places out there.

I ordered the #46, to-go and was over charged by a dollar, then they left out the egg rolls, on top of being charged a $1 surcharge for using my card. The food I got was decent but double check you order so you aren’t ripped off. I called and they couldn’t credit me or offer any other compensation. Maybe it’s not a lot for some but I live on a limited income and going out is always a splurge.
Really ticked me off today. Not only did they not get our to go order right, they charged more than usual. Soup was tasteless and the condiments that comes with ordering wasnt even complete. Furthermore the lady that answers the phones for orders and works the cashier is rude. She takes your order and money like shes doing you a favor. Been going there for years but thats gonna end.
Pho is good. I ve been going there for more than couple years but now the owner lady looks mad all the time. No smile. Nothing even while paying when we say thank you .she dont even look at us and reply. I think she is having more than desired business I guess. Good luck with that attitude not going back again.
Very poor service. Id give them more stars for the food, but the lack of hospitality is very unwelcoming. No one welcomed us, nor did they say thank you, or youre welcome (when he thanked them). Just didnt look like they wanted to be there. Aside from that the pho noodles was really good, and my gf liked the pork combination plate (w/eggs, rice, etc). Only other issue is my noodles came out 1st, then my gfs food 20 mins later. Then when we were done, our boba drinks finally were brought out. Didnt want to complain to them, cuz they really didnt look like they cared. Ultimately, this place kind of always is like this. Gonna reconsider next time my gf wants to come back. 😆
Pretty cool seating options that mildly change the vibe of your experience depending on where you want to sit.The food is great but I can only speak for their soup. Pho soup seems a bit hit or miss and these guys do it well!

The beef noodle pho and the shrimp egg noodle was surprisingly delicious.I wanted to give a 5 star but they gave me a plastic straw on my water glass and using plastic cup with plastic straw for the coffee.. its just too much plastic for me. However, I will definitely come back and next time i will ask for no plastic before they bring my order.
The owner didn’t have a mask on.Just left this filthy establishment and was discriminated as well as yelled at by The owner .I’ve been coming here for years and I first they raised the prices my shrimp noodle pho was $11 and change and it comes with mixed veggies,and the topping (sprouts etc).The owner “Loan”, came out yelling at me when I paid the new fee or $13.99 plus she charged me for the mixed veggies that come with it.I paid for extra veggies and done game me the same portion as normal.I tried explaining that I also paid for vegetarian broth and I always get this.She yelled interrupted me cut me off waved her hands slammed my food ripped the bag open and separated it with her hands.She said she didn’t have time to talk and she wouldn’t stop yelling.The new server was great but Loana needs to go backHome and let her sister run it she would never treat me like that or anyone else.I will never come back here and I drive far wherever I live just for THIS pho! After The owner lied to my face that she had gloves on,I asked for refund and tipped the Server.
Sat down, immediately saw a roach on the wall. Laughed it off. However, the people running there made 5+ mistakes on our orders (group of 7, ordering nothing complicated.) Will never return, it needs to be inspected too.
Got the bún thịt nướng (pork vermicelli). The pork was grilled nicely, the noodles were good, the veggies were fresh, and the fish sauce was on-point. Could have used some crushed peanuts but overall really good. Ill be back next time Im around Richmond.
I finally checked out this place during the “COVID-19 pandemic”. They have dine-in for lunch; there were very few customers; in fact two guys were eating. Which was better due to no surrounding windows in the dining areas. Have lunch and ordered the vermicelli with grilled chicken and egg rolls. The meal was really great and I end up taking some home. This is a true Vietnamese restaurant. The grilled chicken was cooked well to perfection along with the egg rolls. Along with the meal, I ordered a Taro Milk with pearl. That too was made well and very, very good. I’m happy. I have a “go to” Pho Vietnamese restaurant. I even pick up a togo menu. I enjoyed my lunch at this restaurant. It’s so hard to find authentic Vietnamese cuisine that truly is authentic. Thank you Pho Thai Hung. 🙂🙂🙂
This is one of my wifes favorite restaurant so we go here from time to time but the food is very good she always gets excited when I tell her lets go to pho Thai hung to eat 😃

I’ve been here a few times it’s honestly a hit or miss. They always charge extra fees. But this was the last straw. I ordered the sea food Pho and the only two strip that came with the meal we not cleaned properly if at all. I won’t be going back.
Probably the best pho in the area so far that Ive tried. Soup is good and savory with lots of flavor. Just enough noodles to make you full and the assortment of meats is good. They have a grilled pork pho and that was truly yummy.

Used to be a good resto now it sucks. The phone operator doesnt speak English and couldnt understand one. They mess up with the orders all the time. If there is a grade lower than zero Ill give them a negative 50.Worst resto in East Richmond.

We did a google search for a Vietnamese restaurant in this area and only a few comes up and decided to pick this one based on other reviews. The server had a little trouble understanding my request for hu tieu kho (Dry Vietnamese noodle soup with sauce), which is a very popular dish. She acted like she has never heard of such thing. Well....I settled for the regular soup (pictured). The foods is so-so, not as good or authentic as other Ive been in. Both my wife and I get very thirsty right after eating: Too much MSG? I guess we wont be coming back.
Coming from a different area it has been immensely complicated to find a bowl of decent pho... I have found my go-to spot for savory bowls of pho in this location!! The selection is slightly lacking from what I am used to, but each bowl and its broth are unique and that alone makes them stand out. I recommend always tasting your bowl of pho and really letting the broth ruminate in your mouth before going to town with additions of jalapenos, sprouts, house made chili paste, sriracha or hoisin sauces. Its worth that extra moment of savoring. The fried chicken appetizer has a mouth popping flavor in the chosen batter... great with or without the provided dipping sauce.
I liked the pho, and took a bahn mi to go. Was kinda disappointed it had mayo and no hot peppers I requested. There were several bits of inedible chicken in there too. Id stick to the soup in the future.

The pho is not very consistent in flavor. This is my fourth time here and the pho doesnt taste as awesome as my last three visits. The vermicelli noodle bowl with eggrolls and grilled pork is bomb though.
My husband and I Love this place. Particularly the Pho Bo rare beef tendon and tripe soup and Fried quail. Staff very friendly as well. Prices very reasonable.

They have good food but one time that we order to go we found a piece of glass in our food!!! I called the day and spoke with the owner and he offered to replaced it but we have not been back since then.
Id say they can rival the pho from San Jose which also have mini Saigon so when I say rival its pretty up there.Service is fast and food came promptly after (literally 5 minutes) I came around the afternoon so usually the broth in pho places at that time would be watered down, but surprisingly it tasted like it was just made and ready to eat. Very generous amount of meat in it with an adequate amount of noodles.. (Yummm..)Will go again when I have time to eat pho that rivals San Joses!!
There meñu might have about 300 different items, Ive only tried a couple of them. But I would say theyre all just as good. My only complaint would be that it is tough to get a cup of water after the initial one.

I had the worst, tasteless meal. The sauteed seafood smelled like a horrible, not fresh fishy smell the spring rolls were bland. Now I know where not to go in Richmond.

2020-02-15 05:02:59This restaurant is definitely a go-to for delicious food with nice potions and a decent price. I ordered the shrimp salad, stir fried pork with sunny side eggs and rice. My companion ordered a similar dish, but with the shrimp cake and shrimp on the side. The service is always fast and the servers/waiters regularly check on you to ask if everything is okay, which I appreciate. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

2023-10-05 13:23:03We ordered egg rolls and normally they should be paired with some fresh herbs and lettuces, so we asked for the missing vegetables, the lady lied to us that the dish doesnt come with the herbs or lettuces and was very very rude about it .Seriously, like if I dont already know. Ive had this dish so many times before from several different restaurants and they all came with some good fresh herbs and lettuces. I absolutely just wont ever come back to this place ever again.

The porridge tried was very good also ...its a year since I posted and Im adding a couple of photos and we have tried other items.. I have only positive feelings towards everything we have ordered.. we have been here at least 20 times in the last year. I always recommend staying with what their specialty is Pho .or other vietnamese dishes dont order Chinese at a Japanese restaurant..and expect authanticity ...service was nice and accommodating we asked for ginger for the porridge and it arrived sliced thin and fresh...condiments of sprouts, limes, lettuce, basil were generous in their proportions.... large Asian orientated menu..and yes they also serve vegetarian dishes This place surpassed my expectations..Prices very very reasonable.portions of Pho and porridge were generous.. we left full and satisfied

It was absolutely delicious.The spring rolls were fresh, fragrant, and wonderful. They were served with the requisite peanut sauce and it was perfect.This brings me to the pho. I ordered the pho tai chin bo vien, so the rare beef, the broiled beef, and meatballs. Ive had difficulty finding pho I enjoyed here, and this was a joy to have. The broth was fragrant and layered with flavors. The meats were rich and succulent. The meatballs were perfectly springy.I always order the large pho when I have the opportunity. Its a little extra and I love the extra broth. Well, they dont just do extra broth; they do extra everything. And it was intense and wonderful.I highly recommend this place, especially for the price!
