Combo pho is the way to go. It was filling and flavorful. Ive have a lot of good pho and this was high on the list. Very authentic and fresh. Spring rolls were good too. Service was great. Servers were quick, very responsive and friendly. Would return when Im in the area for sure. Picks before and after toppings added in case some dont like it.

Horrible experience. The staff was polite and friendly so no problems there but the food was bland, it was tasteless and the basil was wilted . The spring rolls we bought were absolutely dreadful and looked so weak . the chili paste was impossible to put into the bowl and it really irritated me I would have taken it back if i didn’t already come all the way home .

While the restaurant may lack a fancy facade, the culinary experience is divine! I opted for a vegetarian delight, the Tofu Xào Xã Ớt with lemongrass, and it was truly exceptional! The servings were plentiful, and the service was top-notch. I eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Nice restaurant and cozy on the inside but dont blink twice when looking for it or youll miss it tucked away at its location. The food was tasty and full of flavor and good portion size. I had a bowl of pho with shrimp along with an egg roll that was delicious. Service here was good but a tad slow after the order has been taken otherwise fast on taking the order. Plenty of parking and the restaurant is clean on the inside and out. I would recommend this place to anyone including my friends to try it out.

I’ve had a lot better Vietnamese food. Got the vermicelli with pork and egg roll #45. Came out quickly. Some of the pork tasted like soap. Vermicelli was very thick. Egg roll was cold and not good. There are much better places out there.

Didn’t start well with the service at all. We were a party of 5 and a friend ordered Thai Tea without Boba - she got it with Boba! Server didn’t even bother to take it back for for one without! Just looked at her until she relented and said “its ok”! Then when we ordered, one of the guys who is Vegan ordered their Crispy Veggie Roll. What did he get? A fresh spring roll that was just filled with noodles and a few silvers of carrots and cucumbers. When we asked why is it not the fried ones, he said it’s not Vegan (what the…) and walked away!I ordered a Bun’ - what originally was Pork w/shrimp paste roll but I told him instead of Pork I wanted Chicken. He did not mention anything about a fee for substiution. I get the bill and it’s $21 - he charged me for a whole appetizer of the shrimp paste roll (which was supposed to be 2 pieces) it was only one small one on the Bun’.Total lack of customer service from this guy!! We had gone their alot before. I won’t be going back!!

Decent selection of regular Vietnamese dishes in the middle of the desert. Had their Bun Bo Hue and thought their broth was not as flavorful. Service could be better too. Other than that, everything else was good.

I’d been here a few times and the Pho is ok but definitely nothing special. Tried to go there at 8:15 last night after a movie and they said they were closing even though their hours are posted until 9pm. They were completely dismissive and said their cleaning crew would be there soon. Will never go there again as the service has never been good and food just average.

Pho Vu is a very delicious place to consume a fast, quickly served no frills meal. I always enjoy the same dish and it never fails. The location is quite easy to get to and there is plenty of parking. The customer service is friendly and fast. I can’t say that this would be a romantic dining get away or a place to enjoy the company of friends since the service is so fast and efficient. I would recommend as a quick bite and for some very good food.

The small special pho bowl (missing the meatballs) were not so generous with the broth and way too much noodles that eventually soaked up the broth. The broth itself was good but not the best I´ve had. We also had a summer rolls, the sauce was a bit too peanutty, needs a bit more hoisin sauce to balance it out and darken the sauce as well. The Bun Bo Hue was good, better than the pho. The staff was very friendly so that´s a big plus.

Delicious! Delicious!! Delicious!!! When it comes to Vietnamese cuisine I can take it or leave it, but Phở Vu was the best that I have ever had. I think the reason I have an attitude about Vietnamese food is because it was my ex boyfriend’s favorite. Maybe I just need to grow up a little bit - Hey, I’m only 55 years old, what do you want? LOL. Seriously though, the food at Phở Vu is simply amazing.We went early Sunday afternoon on May 2, 2021, after church services and apparently it’s a spot where lots of people went after church before the coronavirus took over the planet. Hopefully its business will bounce back to normal. The hostess was a lovely young lady who immediately made us feel welcome and our server was a very nice young man who brought us our drinks quickly and our food promptly, however he never checked back to see if everything was okay. It didnt matter too much though because our lunch was outstanding.The restaurant was immaculately clean and the general vibe was pleasant. We started our meal by sharing spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce which was excellent. Then, my date moved on to egg rolls that were perfectly crispy and flavorful and I had the filet mignon plate which was filet mignon chunks cooked in a wok with garlic, onions, and peppers served with tomato and steamed rice. I was full before I finished my plate, but kept stuffing myself because it was so good.I would highly recommend Phở Vu to anyone who loves Vietnamese food or to anyone who is curious to try it. You will not be disappointed.

Young girl with the glasses that takes your order as you walk in was ready to clock out or something. Didnt ask if I was dining in or takeout? Just looked at me and took care of another customer that was picking up. So i just decided to sit myself down. I waited for about 5 minutes and I had to ask her Can I have a menu please? She was like menus are there. Which I asked her do you have another menu because the ones on the counter are the paper ones you take home. Her reply was, No those are the only menus Mmm ok. Took one. Look over the menu. No one ever came to offer water, nothing. Went in line, ordered my order. Had a few questions about substituting an item. And correct me or not but are todays young workers filled with attitude if they get annoyed if someone ask a question? In otherwords you know working is what your doing. Its annoying to do anything or speak to your customers. That moment I decided choose your battles. This little girl is not worth it. And I was right on the money. As soon as she was done taking my order. I saw her grab her bag and take off. I get it you want to go home but have some kindness to your last customer. Plus the whole restaurant is hot AF. Disappointed for sure.

I would consider myself a regular now. A bowl of warm Pho is always my to go but I’ve tried many other dishes. Nothing really let me down yet. The only reason I’m giving four stars is the cleanliness of the tablewares bothers me sometimes.

The little lady at the register is always rude, and impatient. Second time i went in to order, then go outside to sit in my car right outside the door in her eye view. She wont even come outside to tell you your order is ready. Only reason I go to the location on Monterey is because I live on the West end of the Valley. I recommend the La Quinta location they are always friendly, and the vegetables are fresh.

The food servers are rude especially the old guy after they bring your food they dont even bother to ask if you needed anything else, i happen to want some Vietnamese fish sauce and asked the other food server and 5min after still nothing, ended up asking the buss boy and he brought it to me in less than 30 seconds....guess who i gave my tip to? I used to really like this place but not so much anymore. Its more like a fast food asian diner; waiters seem depressed, food arrives really fast so I dont think its fresh. Quality just isnt that great, and the price doesnt match. Unfortunately, I think Im done with this place.

The food may be highly palatable for clientele who are of non Vietnamese origin, but would be considered subpar otherwise. Pho did not have adequate beef broth content and had more the taste of instant pho cube. The grilled pork was incredibly dry and overcooked, and lacking the char/smoke flavor - the wrong type of cut was used.

I dont usually go here for the service. The food is good. And there arent many PHO restaurants in the desert. But, I thought today would have been good service since they had English speaking servers. The last time I went they didnt. No I was wrong. Took my order and brought my food. Location.Our first time eating and looking for the restaurant.Husband said a Christmas tree (?) was on the back side of the buidling, misleading him to believe it was the front side (entry) of restaurant. It turned out we were on the opposite side of a set of businesses connected to one building where the restaurant was located.Driving around the parking lot, husband said it was difficult to find his way around. No signage nor lights to guide us to the front of the building.Restaurant has a dark front entry area. We were not sure if it was the restaurant and open until you walked up to the door.Once inside, staff said to take any seat. They were quick to bring the menu, followed by asking if we wanted anything to drink.Once we ordered, food was delivered not long afterwards. Prices above average of what we have seen and eaten at restaurants where we live in Central California and bowls is soups smaller.Both husband and relatives ordered soup. Husband said meat was dry meaning less fat content, i.e. round steak vs. sirloin steak. Relative did not comment.Mine order was a noodle dish, not a soup, topped with barbecued chicken, sliced cucumbers, julienned carrots with a side dish of sweet sauce. All was good except chicken. Dried out, orange colored. Not tender, nor in my opinion edible. It did not taste like barbecued meat as I have had many times in other Vietnamese restaurants in California.I offered one piece of chicken to husband. He tried it and refused a second piece. I tried to eat a few pieces and left the rest in the bowl. That confirmed it was not good. He normally eats most food.We had an order of fried egg rolls. They were light, crispy and tasty; an appetizer.Lastly we started to drive in the same direction from which we entered from the street, yet there were many vehicles on the street. That caused a long queue of traffic in the parking lot because they were stuck.We could not even drive to get behind the line of queue. My husband ended up taking a different exit, driving farther away to return to the street.Granted this was in the evening, which was very dark, that added to the frustration of finding, and leaving the parking lot and restaurant. Limited street lights along that area. And little to no lightening to help drivers locate entry of driveway.Verdict. Would eat there again. Not likely.

While the food and its selection are decent, the service ia positively horrid. They are rude, and impatient. We arrive about 45 minutes before closing and we never got a greeting but instead a: order fast, we are closing. Since their website ia down, the only menu was the one in the restaurant. The order taker would not even let us look at the menu and kept on asking, so what do you want, quick. The La Quinta location is great but the Palm Desert one is not, just because of how rude they are. Very unpleasant way of conducting business.

We found this place accidentally when we were refused to be served at K-Tofu place nearby (see my review on that place). We had to-go fresh spring rolls, vermicelli noodles with BBQ chicken and BBQ pork. Both were very good but the spring rolls were a bit bland. It may be something to do with eating out of Styrofoam containers... Staff were very friendly and courteous. I recommend this place.

The worst Vitnamise food experience by far. Im married to a Vitnamise and I love Vitnamise food. Our dinner was tasteless and awful. We drove all the way from Palm Springs hoping for a delicious meal and we are highly disappointed. The person that took the order and handed to me was so rude that he cut me off while speaking and handed me the receipt to sign, got on his phone, without even saying thank you. The portions are insulting and this people DO NOT care about customer satisfaction or business ethics, but they count on customers coming through that door due to lack of decent Vitnamise food in the area.I highly recommend that you read all REAL (authentic) reviews and we do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.Ps. Dreadful!!Not sure what happened to this place however our simple vermicelli bowls were disasters. Egg rolls burnt to a crisp, pork light on portion and overcooked. Also observed wait staff reaching into veggie bags with the same gloves on they use to serve with and wipe tables. One waiter/staff member while wearing said gloves put eyes drops in his eyes. Management admitted food was not up to expectations but blamed the serving staff. Refunded half the cost of our order but we wont be back.

This place needs an update. I went in with my baby after asking the front desk staff if they had tempura. (Fried veggies) he said yes, and this was the only reason I took in my son to have lunch. We sat down and were offered menus and water. I ordered but it was very complicated to order. When I asked about tempura or fried veggies the server had no idea what I was talking about. When I asked about ordering any other sides he only offered rice or noodles. I got pork rolls wrapped in rice paper for my son, but the meat was so little amount in there and low quality, I picked it out and ended up not giving it to him. (By low quality I mean just not tasting good, tough, fatty, idk but tasted bad.) Other than the very little meat in his wraps it was filled with just a bunch of lettuce and shredded carrots, so I tried to take it out and mix it with some noodles from my pho vu veggie & tofu bowl I got, but it ended up being not a good meal for him. I ordered the veggie and tofu soup/noodle bowl which had like 3 small pieces of tofu in it. The server never came back to check on us. I based my whole experience on coming in because they said they had fried veggies or tempura, which did not exist there. Something easy for my son to eat. I spent $20+ on a meal I couldnt eat, chose not to because of the experience. I couldnt let my son not eat so went elsewhere. On top of that when I first got there, a lady was complaining she got charged for an extra meal she should not be paying for, there was no reconciliation or apology on Pho Vus part but she had to assert the fact she would not pay. Umm..? Also as a third experience in close proximity to mine, the lady next to my table after her meal asked what is this? while holding up a piece of meat looking thing. The server told her tendon, and she tried to explain her discomfort which he was ignoring, the fact they served her a plate she didnt want. She put her finger to her tongue in disgust because he did not get it the first or second time, or chose to ignore what she was saying. He had the audacity to say, other than that, was everything great? with a thumbs up. Like, THAT WAS HER WHOLE MEAL! What she came in for! To eat something she likes. I was just blown away by the lack of anything logic in this restaurant. Really, really disappointing. What is happening with restaurants today?

We went back for their coffee only and we asked them to not fill up the cups with ice, and the server was rude (older male), saying this is how we sale it I just asked for LESS ICE, and they were rude about it. I love their coffee, but not planning on going back there for coffee or food. Their coffee price is like a starbucks coffee, so I will just go to starbucks for coffee. I should not be a big deal if you want less ice in your coffee.

There was a line there on a Thursday night. That should tell you something. Food is good, plentiful and fairly reasonable. We tried the Phone, as well as vermicelli bowls and a pork chop egg dish that was really good. Service is a bit off. Had to ask for utensils, sauces that were supposed to come with food had to be asked for, but otherwise everything else was very good. Work on that service, as this is the third time weve had less than good service.

The food is so-so but the service is horrendous. The whole appeal of a small mom and pops shop is service and unique taste. However, when a shop abandons even that, it makes me question what is even the point of coming here.All I did was ask for a couple of sirracha sauce to go with my 3 orders of food. The owner/manager would deny me that and basically suggests grab your order and go, if you want more sauce packets, youd have to pay extra.Well sure, how much can 2 packets of sauce be? Maybe Im just one customer, but youll never have my patronage again.

Ive been doing take out the past few months with Phò Vu. Their food is always fresh, well made, and enjoyable. The broth and their Phò is Rich and flavor. I decided to give this place a try for the first time, and looked up their menu on their website so I could order carryout. I ordered my food and went to go pick it up, however, when I got there the price was not as expected. I was told that the total would be 15% higher than what the menu claimed. I explained to the hostess working that the website clearly states a different price. She informed me that they are aware of this, and that the website has not been updated in a very long time. I asked her if they were aware of the problem, why they were knowingly false advertising. Its just one of the very few Vietnamese restaurants in the area and its a great addition to Rancho Mirage. The Vietnamese Phó soup is world-renowned and something you dont want to miss if you havent tried it. The restaurant is located where you can see it from the access road but its a bit difficult to see, however its next to the Panera restaurant and across from the Walmart shopping center. The food is very healthy in the prices are very reasonable. And they shut down at 9 p.m. in the evening. Enjoy!

The Egg Rolls are good, but only came with 4 pieces. Ordered the combo pho, Beef Stew with French Bread, Bun Bo Hue, combo stir-fried egg noodle.
