Solid menu & good food. Pho broth not quite as good as that bay area chain that starts with K, but decent none the less. The staff is super friendly & seem really happy to see you each time you come in. Very reasonably priced.

A casual, neighborhood restaurant that’s part of our regular rotation. In the cold months, we found ourselves craving their pho. In the warm months, the noodle dishes are perfect. Kids menu is generously portioned. Nice staff. Family friendly. Eat in it take out— both good!

DELICIOUS hidden gem in Lafayette!Pho Benny is great. First of all they bring a large plate heaped with very fresh herbs and shredded vegetables to add to your bowls. For my outstanding spicy noodle soup, medium spice and with thick hearty noodles, I had shredded cabbage to ad, plus fresh branches of cilantro and mint, and my boyfriend had bean sprouts and basil to ad to his beef noodle soup. Also on the plate was slices of lime and jalapeños. Both soups were hearty, full of flavor and really delicious.My boyfriend got the Special Combo Beef #01 soup, thick with slices of brisket, flank and shank in a flavorful broth. Both bowls were very large, but we finished everything slowly but surely.We also devoured a plate of crispy egg rolls which were also amazing.The quality of the produce is top top.The room is airy and spacious, very nicely decorated and cosy. Service was impeccable and very helpful. Location could not be better, right opposite the very busy Trader Joes.We came in the early afternoon and it was already busy. I am so happy for their success!Cannot wait to go back and taste other items on the menu. I caught glances of other diners plates as they went by and saw so many other items I wanted to try.Go Pho Benny!

Amazing small restaurant hidden in Lafayette. Must visit and try their amazing Vietnamese food. Loved Vietnamese sandwich and noodles. Visit with family and friends, you wont be dissapointed.

Portion sizes were big, definitely worth the price. People working here are really kind and friendly. We ordered vermicelli noodles with chicken and shrimp and shrimp fresh spring rolls. Both were excellent!

For years, I wished for a pho place to open up in Lafayette. Pho Benny right opened up right before Covid opposite Trader Joe’s. Wide selection of delicious food, beautiful spacious spotlessly clean interior. Haven’t had a dish we didn’t like. Partner/owner, Long, is always there greeting you with a warm welcome and great service.

Its exciting to have a pho restaurant in Lafayette, and a great one at that! The spicy noodle soup is delicious, noodles are fresh, and the overall quality of the ingredients seems high. As a bonus, they have wine and beer on tap with a decent selection - something I dont normally see at pho places. Will be going back.

The special pho was excellent, and the fries and chicken wings were very good as well. The spicy noodle was good, but I liked the special pho much better. The food came out super fast, like 5 minutes after we ordered fast. Bathrooms were very clean. Great place, check it out!

Great neighborhood pho place with excellent takeout. Dont expect three-star Michelin dining or ambience, but when youre looking for something different that hits the spot, especially on a night when you dont want to cook, Pho Benny delivers. About $20 per person is what we typically pay..

I had a menu 1. Special Combo. Soup was great with plenty of meats. But the noodle in it was too overcooked that the noodle was cut too easily and some of them got stuck together. I also had Shrimp Roll which was satisfying. Especially the peanut butter sauce they provided with the Roll was impressive.

Delicious and fresh in a tranquil and very clean setting. I love their Organic Tofu Spring Rolls which I order almost every time. Their rolls have mint leaves in them, which other places often leave out and the peanut sauce is warm. Also love their Vegetable Pho with tofu- always piping hot with generous servings of noodles, vegetables and tofu. Owners and staff are welcoming and genuinely warm.

A fun little restaurant that has great food and a very attentively [but not intrusive] staff.Pho was perfectly prepared and generous portions.We came off hours and stayed chatting for a couple of hours. Did not feel rushed.

This is my favorite pho in the Bay Area. Service is fast and pleasant. I really like the lemongrass tofu with veggies. Everything is nicely done. A real cut above even decent Vietnamese places.

On a hot day I enjoy the Vermicelli Noodle Bowls like the #51!The Beef Stew with noodles and veggies really hit the spot on a cold, wet Winter Evening!I like the variety of foods on the menu.

Extra large pho bowls packed with protein, quality ingredients, and flavorful broth for $15.99. It’s pricy but you get your moneys worth. I always get #1 with steak on the side. They also serve wine and beer. There’s a meter parking lot in the rear.

Great Pho and awesome to have a place like this Lafayette. I typically do pho as a Saturday breakfast so them opening at 10am is really nice. They had some beer taps as well which is super rare for this kind of restaurant. Will definitely be going back.

Wow, just wow... This is my new go to in Lafayette! Located where the old Bistro Burger was by Trader Joes, this Pho place is phenomenal. My cravings for Vietnamese food usually involved driving to Walnut Creek to visit Kevins Noodle House, but now with Pho Benny 2 minutes from my house in Lafayette, its so easy to get my fill on Pho, Banh Mi, Shrimp Rolls and Egg Rolls.HEADS UP:*** CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS***But aside from that, quick, friendly service, beer on tap and great food. Ordered Sashimi dinner, 2 types of rolls, seaweed salad and hot sake. Food came out quickly, well presented, sake could be a bit hotter. Restaurant also kindly boxed leftovers for us. Open later than most Lafayette places (walked in after 8pm on a Wednesday) and pretty busy with people (they checked my vaccination status) and takeout orders through 9pm. Prices on par with sushi around area.

Decent pho and banh mi. Definitely spoiled growing up near Little Saigon with cheap, delicious eats. This is ok for the location. Not much selection on banh mi and pho is not super flavorful, but it fills you...Beware, its on the pricier side...I guess its to be expected since its in Lafayette. Prefer Kevins in WC though- even if I have to wait.

Staff is nice and gave me soda refills on a very hot day of walking while waiting for my take out. For a good filling meal, Id recommend kids meal pho and a sandwich, both items easily being a 4/5 for me.

Enjoyed our first meal at the new Pho Benny. Authentic Pho, vermacelli noodles with egg rolls and Lemongrass vegetarian rice plate. All quite tastyAte indoors at clean, simple tables with nice high ceilings and modern decor, watching the Olympics on large screen. There are a few tables on back patio. Glad to have Vietnamese cuisine come to Lafayette! Check them out.

Rainy day and needed a Pho spot that was open. Pho Benny was a great find. Very clean and professional indoors. Service was a bit slow as I think they forgot my order, was waiting a bit for just a bowl of Pho. Maybe short staffed, not enough to ruin my night. Nice place to bring a date.

Ok place, wasn’t too impressed by the pho honestly. It’s almost $16, not a very big bowl, the broth is off and the noodles were clumped together and over cooked. Plus, if you pay w a credit card they add this crazy credit card fee to your bill and tell you nothing about it, so you’re basically forced to pay it. Wouldn’t return, thanks but no thanks.

Ordered number 5 pho (steak, flank, tripe) did not recieve tripe. Broth was bland and unseasoned. No flavors of cinnamon, anise, cardamom, clove or coriander. Tasted like store bought beef stock, will not order pho again. The beef bahn mi was wonderful. The bread was crispy on the outside and tender inside. Veggies were fresh and crunchy. will return for sandwiches.*edit* I decided to give Pho Benny another shot and I am so glad I did. The pho tastes authentic and was exactly what I wanted. I am inclined to believe my order was not correct the first time. I ordered the number 9, rare steak with tendon. I didnt care for the fresh mint and would have preferred more sprouts and less noodles, but I have changed my rating to 5 stars and will return for more pho!

Pho Benny Rocks! Wife and I eat a lot of pho. Normally we have to go to Concord (from Moraga) to find the goods. We tried Pho Benny tonight and loved it!The Good:1. The broth is amazing. Noodles were tasty.2. Tendon was soft and tasty.3. Staff was super friendly4. Very close (near Trader Joes)5. Bonus: the egg rolls and spring rolls are also on point.Not so Good (note: none worth a full star loss):1. My takeout order unfortunately was missing the veggies (sprouts/peppers, cilantro, basil). But the soup was so good, it didnt even detract!2. Price is a little high (~$14 per bowl), but saves me a longer drive to Concord or WC.3. Steak strips were slightly frozen inside. I appreciate theyre storing these well, but this was a first for me.Bottom line: Definitely will be back. Help support some much welcomed diversity in Lamorinda cuisine!

Definitely overpriced for the food served here, and they charge 3.5% credit card fee (which used to be illegal). Also, the service quality isnt that great. We wont go back ever again.

Had the banh mi sandwich, it was ok but no jalapeno, no pickled turnip/carrot and the bread was not fresh where the crust would crumble on each bite. My wife ordered the chicken vermicelli dish (she got the rice dish instead, take out order). It was ok because I think they used roast chicken vs chicken that should have been marinated. I will a while before I go back to allow them time to take the wrinkles out of their food. Ill just have to go to Kevins Noodle house in walnut creek. For bang mi, concord for now.

At the beginning, like any skeptic, I was very aware of the visual impression of the dishes, but when I taste the first one I realize that I really should try them all and in the process, why not? Also know or inquire more about the ingredients. What a delicious meal, definitely highly recommended.
