Pho Gyu Vietnamese Noodle House in Ventura

Great prices and delicious pho! The broth is so flavorful! We love the fresh spring rolls, too. =)

Solid pho restaurant. Not a lot of choices, but when you have a hankering for pho and dont want to drive 25-30 minutes, its nice to have a pho place in Ventura.We enjoyed the Wings of Hell which were sweet and hot, but not as spicy as the name implies.Ordered the 101 pho as well as the spicy house special pho. Both broths were excellent. Meat was okay. The condiment plate was good.Nearby table ordered bun dish, and it looked good. Seemed to have equal veggies to meat and rice.Servings of everything are large enough to share. Saw several groups sharing entrees which the staff was happy to help facilitate.Restaurant (including restrooms) was spotless. Genderless restrooms.

Initially I was excited to try this place out. Placed an online order and waited over an hour for my food. My purchase receipt said it would be a 15-20 minute wait. When we went inside to collect our food the worker said they were no where near our order number and that we would have to wait. We waited another 40 minutes and during that time they prioritized serving people who were at the restaurant, even people who got there after us received their food. As for the food my vegetables were over cooked and mushy, and the broth was alright. Definitely will not be wasting my time or money here again.

Pho Gyu Vietnamese Noodle House - that I recently discovered, it has quickly become one of my favorite spots in town. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a charming combination of traditional and modern elements. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, but their specialty - pho - is an absolute must-try. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the noodles are perfectly cooked. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout my visit. Overall, I highly recommend Pho Gyu Cafe for anyone who appreciates delicious Vietnamese cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Food was awesome. Service was kinda off. We waited to almost when we were about to leave for one meal when it finally arrived. They forgot one of our other orders, we had to remind them.Understandable if we had a new guy that had less experience because the guy that serviced us looked like he didnt know what he was doing half the time. But in all, we enjoyed our meal and will be back.

Few days later, were ordering from Pho Gyu again! This time we got pho, house special and chicken vermicelli and beef galbi ribs! Really amazed with their pho packaging. Everything was great, we will eventually make our way to dine in one of these days! The name though 😅...Got a promo on Postmates and decided to order delivery from this place. The vermicelli entrees sounded good so we picked the wagyu beef and spicy pork along with an app order of vegetarian egg roll.Packaging looked nice and just to be sure we dont ruin our dinner, we poured the entire container into the largest bowl we have and it was spilling over which means portions are huge!Both the wagyu beef and spicy pork were very tasty and flavorful, All the veggies, especially the herbs combined with pickled carrots plus the vinegary and sweet dressing just tied everything together nicely. Oddly, the egg rolls didnt taste good on their own so we cut them up to mix in the bowl which works great

I like Vietnamese pho, glad to find this place near my home we tried it it is okay not too bad. But the broth can taste better. the side dish vegetable like sprouts etc. is less than other places

I finally have a favorite restaurant in Ventura: Pho Gyu at 4960 Telephone Road.I was going to photograph the restaurant from the outside as it is quite attractive: light, bright, clean and new, (but I was in such a hurry to get in that I’ll just have to photo their exterior on my next visit) - just like the interior decor & ambiance (see interior pic). Simple clean menu, easy to order and most importantly: DELICIOUS. I started with the Spring Rolls Appetizer (pic below) which after he took my order and input into the computer, was at my table when I returned from washing my hands. And then after only a few bites of the fresh Spring Roll, my entre (Grilled Wagyu Beef vermicelli entre - my first time having Wagyu beef) was served (pic below). DELICIOUS dipping sauce!! I asked for extra for my noodles. This was my first time (I think) ordering a Vietnamese coffee - will not be my last.I told my server, “I can’t wait to come back and order the Wagyu Beef Pho (no tendons for me though. LOLOLOL)

I usually don’t like to enter reviews, but this had me infuriated and never thought it would happen.Went to this place, I been here before and waiters have always helped me at my table. Today was the exemption but I was told as soon as I was inside the restaurant to choose a table and someone will come to my table to take my order. Chose to sit on one of the tables outside, 20 minutes passed and no service.Talked to the manager and it looked like she did not like what I told her, I was never impolite I talked to her with a normal and politely introduce myself but I guess that polite complaints don’t work. No. A single form or way to keep my business was done by her reaction. I wasn’t expecting a discount nor free food but nothing other than “ would you like to order now” and “ I will train my people better”, I said “I don’t want to order, I will take my business somewhere else”.If you are looking for better business will suggest to have look around who is sitting at your tables and provide a service. As a manager you need to have more than two eyes to be looking around. This was a waste of time.

Overall, good quality and delicious. The pho soup is very well prepared, the meat is of high quality. It is slightly salty to my taste and I added some hot water and it was good.
