We have really enjoy Pho here! The vegetables wraps and tacos where delicious but the won ton soup did not hit the spot. The gelato is home made and so so good! There are many flavors to choose from and my personal favorite is the black berry:)

I got pho, my kid got Bahn mi and pork belly spring rolls. Everything was delicious! We were very pleased with the customer service. The waiting staff was very pleasant and attended to our needs quickly. 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent lean beef pho, as good as any I have had in Asia or North America!Helpful, friendly staff.Cash only (clearly posted on the door), ATM inside.Warm, pleasant decor.Restaurant sells Pho King t-shirts.If you are considering walking there (my car was in for an oil change), this section of Hwy 49 does not have sidewalks!

This is the first time we have been here. Food is fresh and flavorful. Had the pork and shrimp spring rolls, tri-tip salad and beef pho. Absolutely delicious. Also, I had the best Vietnamese coffee here. Great service and friendly staff.

What can I say, but it’s really Pho king good! We stopped for lunch after a long hike and swim. This place did not disappoint. We had the grilled pork rice plate and the King special pho. The grilled pork was well seasoned, juicy and grilled just right. It came out with a side of veggies- pickled carrots, radish and lettuce. The seasoning on the pickled carrots and radish was on point, a bit of chili, almost kimchi like. The pho was also good, the broth has depth and not lacking any flavor. The beef and noodles were generous portions. Highly recommend to order a side of the bacon chili jam which is made in house. Cash only, and atm is located inside.

My bowl of bun was amazing! The wait staff are all friendly and efficient.The only gotcha is that the floor is polished concrete and the ceiling 8 ft above is sheetrocked with a shiny knock down finish. Not surprisingly, it was jarringly loud sitting next to a long table of ladies that were having a really good time. I was there alone and almost reached for a set of foam earplugs. They need to invest in some acoustic tiles.

As a huge fan of pho, I was excited to try this spot after driving by it many times. Ordered takeout.The restaurant was clean, and the service was awesome. Very friendly staff.Had the Kings beef combo pho. Large bowl of soup and generous portions. Unfortunately, I felt that the beef broth was overly salty, which was the downfall for my overall rating.I also was disappointed to see that it was cash only and cost an additional charge to use the ATM, which was where the money went that I planned to have for the tip.Overall, it was a good experience and seems to be a very popular place. Hope this restaurant continues to do well.

I know the Business name sounds crazy but its exactly how you pronounce itFa-King-Good. I dont like cursing but this gets me every time I drive by.Now onto the food. My second time eating here and experience has been great.Both time I had the Pho Soups which is what theyre known for.Service was very fast even with a restaurant almost full during lunch hour.The waiter was prompt and friendly and food was ready in less than 7-8 min.Interior is roomy with seating for about 60 people.Will definitely be back soon.Service 5 starsFood 5 starsLocation 5 stars

5 adults main course only with sodas. Bill total $88!! The food was excellent, busy but a couple of tables were bused as we walked in. Service was fast, I mean fast we were seated and within 5 minutes we were approached to order. Food was excellent, I had My g pow chicken, me, it was hot, burn your hand hot not too spicy at all, sauce on the table helped there. Everyone else had pho! The veg was all so beautifully fresh, all was piping hot and an excellent choice of place to visit. We WILL return on the next visit to Sacramento we will divert there. Good food, hot food, something California isnt known for. With excellent service AND good prices!!

The first time I came here, there was a good vibe immediately. Then after I had gotten my meal, the chef came out to ask how I liked it. The waiter and the cashier were cheerful and friendly. The food is good and in addition to the traditional Vietnamese food, there are about 10 flavors of gelato made in house. I really enjoy coming here.

Sometimes on the way home from Reno, we like to eat pho, normally we drove to Sacramento for pho but this time I was hungry so when we got to Auburn, my wife googled this restaurant. It’s a small local restaurant sitting by itself, family owned with a few people working. We’re the first customers there.The first thing we saw at the door was “cash only and ATM inside”, we didn’t feel good already but we’re already there and I did have cash from the casino. We had some small talks with the owner, and since it’s a local restaurant therefore not many VN customers eat there.We ordered Pho special bowl that normally comes with everything but since there are no VN customers, the meat selection was quite minimal. There’s no tendon, no stripe, fatty brisket although the owners told us up front, we’re hungry and we would enjoy anything good.We’ve never tasted any pho this tasteless anywhere. The soup was salty, like water and salt, no pho flavor at all. The bowl was big but there’s not much food in it. We did order the large bowl for everyone.We’re sure it’s our mistake for eating pho here because when we asked if they have all the authentic meats that come with pho and they confirmed not all were available.When we checked out, the bill included service charge because of 5 people, I thought it was suggested tips but they actually charged us for it, naive me, I put another 20% cash in the table.Anyhow, I’m sure the place has great reviews, the customers must liked the food and service very much, the other dishes from the menu must be great but we haven’t tried, but pho for us was a NO, NO. My wife and kids said next time hold off until Sacramento if we really want pho. I would prefer Burger King but was craving for soup.

The best Vietnamese restaurant here not to mention their name is great.My personal favourites are the vaco tacos and the wonton noodle soup.Husband gets the Kings Special.I get the tacos as a meal, and its an excellent meal. Just by itself, we also get the grilled chicken spring rolls as an appetizer. We try many Vietnamese restaurants and none make any grilled chicken spring rolls.Their food is always consistent and they make their own broth in house for the soups.

Quiet little place in North Auburn. I stop here on my way back from Lake Tahoe generally in winter to warm me up after a day on the slopes. Good anytime really. It’s not the most convenient to get to if you are driving through on 80 but it’s good enough to make the detour. Classic pho Ga - broth isn’t too salty but not flavorless. Shredded chicken is great. Two sizes for their pho. Reasonably priced. Good service - a little slow but I’m used to the city so I should probably learn to eat slower anyways.

Okay this is a review which invites puns...but this place really is pho king good! Superb little find as we drove back from Tahoe. The eponymous pho was DELICIOUS (and particularly healing after too many beers the night before!), everything else we tried (pancakes, summer rolls) lovely and service brilliant. This place is a hidden gem! We moved from CA to Reno and still have family in CA so we make a monthly commute. We get most food recommendations from Google and luckily happened to be in Auburn when searching. We got this as pick up on our way home and it was so good as take out We had to try it in person. The broth is so flavorful, one of the best pho places Ive ever had. This last weekend we had family over and took a trip to Sacramento, well we stopped here on our way back home and everyone including my 6 year old son devoured his bowl! My aunt kept asking about it all weekend saying its the best pho shes ever had. This place really is Pho-King Good! 😂

I went in for Pho and came out a huge fan of Banh Xeo, Vietnamese egg crepe. The crepe was super crispy and loaded with meat and shrimp. I also got a lesson on how to eat it—put a piece in a lettuce leaf loaded with daikon, carrot, cilantro and mint. Then roll up the lettuce leaf. This is a hands on dish, full of flavor and remarkably delicious. Next time I’ll up the heat in the dipping sauce. Service is excellent. Cash only.

Overall generally I love your food, but the reason I give you three stars on the food, you guys be careful because I taste spoiled meat a few times already, I had to spit it out, taste buds wont lie! Otherwise your variety and the way you guys using the spice is awesome. Today was our first time trying this restaurant! Our waiter, Ken, was so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the bahn mi sandwich, the bread was amazing, and the pho was delicious, with great quality meats. We also enjoyed a delicious Viatnamese iced coffee. We are transplants from the Bay Area, which has hundreds of different places to get pho and Vietnamese cuisine. This place is our new favorite!! The beef curry ramen was so delicious, spicy and coconut curry broth was balanced to perfection and the cubed beef fell apart and just melted in my mouth. We also got spring rolls that were fresh and yummy with the warm peanut sauce, so good!! The food was outstanding but the service was even better!! Kenji the manager was so attentive and took the time to welcome us to the neighborhood. We will definitely be regulars now, everything 5 stars!! Would give more if I could! Can’t wait to try everything else on their menu!

Regularly frequent this location because it is so Pho King good! I fell for their pho ga at first taste and the Banh mi fries with pork are bomb as many describe. Just can not get enough of them. Love love love their fresh rolls with tofu. Hubby loves the fried rice as its just like the one he remembers from childhood. The vaco tacos are an incredible taste experience. They do simple food really well and are quite popular. Bring cash, or use the ATM inside for a fee. It is worth it.

We used to Love the food last year and the year before, but this year the pho has gone sparse, almost tasteless, and inedible as if the previous days/weeks leftovers are being saved and reheated after being out in warmers. The meat portions have also been reduced by 1/2 to 2/3. We always get the king and the seafood pho and spring rolls and calamari. Today everything was old and half rotting. Wilting/rotting/falling apart veggies and rice wraps, dead calamari, the meats and seafood were stale, the noodles were noticeably aged, and the broth was weak and off. The portions of seafood looked like it had been counted out at 2 of each item in each of our two seafood pho orders to the point that the tiny items looked like garnish more than the subject matter or the dish. The spring rolls were gluey and disintegrating. The calamari seemed microwaved now. And all that for $60+.... We ended up throwing out most of the food and are wondering if were going to get food poisoning. Also, Good luck getting them to answer the phone for a pick-up order if they are busy as well as they only take cash. We are now looking elsewhere.

Warning:The cash only, they do have an ATM s but it charges 3 bucks so come prepared. About 20 a person should cover it unless you like to a bunch of appetizers. Food is amazing, wait staff friendly and responsive, and the space clean. If you want super sized portions and Americanized Oriental food it might not be for you. But if authentic Pho is something you enjoy I highly recommend this little out of the way place. Portions are generous, expertly prepared with high quality ingredients. The wait staff was incredibly responsive. My two old granddaughter fell and bumped her head so we were high maintenance upon walking in the door. Staff didnt skip a beat, provided Ive for her bump and brought us out rice quite quickly to assist us in getting her comfortable. I have to admit, all while laboring under a bit of a language barrier. But the kindness and attentiveness of the staff was beyond the call of duty. We will genuinely make Pho King Good Noodles a regular stop when in Auburn.

My wife and I loved our first meal at Pho King. I had the Pho and she had the Mi La Cay noodles. We also ordered the new crepe appetizer. Every bit was delicious. The Pho broth was outstanding. The wait-person said that it was from simmering beef bones all night long. It tasted like it. The noodle dish was very creative, not like all the other Vietnamese restaurants. The people running this place seemed to really know what theyre doing and the menu is full of creative surprises. We will be back to sample more things.Now its October 2019 and wife and I are regulars. The husband wife team who owns and runs the place--see may be your waiter too--are very creative chefs. Indoor seating is plentiful if you want to sit and to-go orders are quick if you are in a hurry. I showed up expecting this place to be good and what I got really surprised me. As I walked threw the door with my friend we were greeted by a pretty young lady with a smile she was very friendly and professional. i didnt feel rushed at all she gave us plenty of time and explained things to us about the selection on the menu in perfect detail. My dish was the honey walnut shrimp and I dont remember what my friend had probobly because the food tasted so good i could only focus on that the dish was arranged in a very beautiful way one of those ways that when u look at it u could tell the cook put his or her heart and soul on the plate. We showed up as a hungry, travel-weary family who thought we couldnt eat here because there were CASH ONLY signs at the door, and we werent carrying any. We had begun to walk away to look into other possibilities when the hostess insisted that we sit down anyway and eat our dinner. The folks showed unexpected kindness towards strangers and provided excellent service to boost the delicious food and casual ambience. Im particularly fond of the bahn mi fries, egg rolls, Vietnamese fried rice, and bahn mi.Im not a fan of the cash only thing, though. 8/16/2021 We went to Pho King for the first time last week. OMG just walking in it smelled so fragrant with the herbs and ingredients. I ordered a pork Vietnamese sandwich. It was delicious! Had a Thai tea and my husband ordered a noodle dish with shrimp and a red curry type sauce. Our dough ordered potstickers. She said they were the best potstickers she ever had. I have been spoiled with going to good pho places in South Sacto(Pho Saigon) or in Folsom(Pho ABC), and this place cant compare. The portions are small and overpriced. If you can get past the name you will probably love this place (pho is pronounced fu). I picked up food here once for my wife because she said it sounded good. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and they got my food to me immediately. I would probably eat here once or twice per month if I wasnt so offended by the choice of their name. I drive by here coming home from work every day and it bothers me every time that the owners chose a name that forces you to say something profane just to reference their business. We ordered take out - beef pho and seafood pho. I had the seafood and I had very bad diarrhea an hour later. The beef pho consisted of grey meat that looked nothing like beef but more like a mysterious processed product. My wife had no illness from it but found it to be unappetizing. Another thing that I didn’t like is that they accept only cash. Why? Businesses who do that are usually dodging taxes. They will say they don’t want to pay the % to the bank but all other businesses just put that into the tab and the prices here are not a bargain. Especially when you get sick. Maybe just a bad night but too many negatives to return.

Pho king good food I first went there just because of the name, LOL! Second time I went back was for the food ! Good food good service good prices all around worthy of adding to my list of go to places to eat !

The pho here is amazing!! The broth makes the pho what it is and the broths here, beef, chicken, or vegetable, are all fantastic.

Food is outstanding and legit. Not much in way of atmosphere, but everything we ordered was fresh, tasty and nicely portioned. And, come on, the name is everything.
