We were on a lunch break from a conference and ventured here. I wanted to love it as we have many Vietnamese places in Hawaii. Sadly I was disappointed.Service was slow and there was no ac. Eating phõ in a hot restaurant is horrible.My tofu bahn mi was good though I only wanted the sandwich and not meal which seemed to be an option according to the menu. I was already ordering phõ so would not need another soup nor rolls. The server did not seem to understand and brought me a meal and charged me for it. The phõ was plentiful. However, due to the uncomfortable atmosphere, I could not enjoy my food. The sandwich was more than enough therefore I could not indulge in the phõ so that was a total waste. The bbq pork was like char siu and a huge disappointment that my brother just left it.The workers seemed friendly, just slow to arrive with food or replenishing drinks.

Pho was mid, and the portioning was decent. My only complaint is its a little more expensive due to its location compared to other pho places Ive been to.

Please do not let the negative reviews keep you from coming here. This is a humble Vietnamese restaurant that knows its flavors without needing to be anything fancy. If they aren’t busy, you can walk in to the front and they’ll let you pick your seat. There is a variety of options on the menu but we ordered the chicken pho and the number 4 pho. It came with a plate of jalapeños, bean sprouts and thai basil to accompany the pho. The serving size was really large and worth every penny. You get plenty of noodles and broth. The broth was SO flavorful and tasty and clean. You get plenty of meat in the bowl. We left feeling very full and and satisfied.

I regularly eat here and the food is descent. Probably the best Vietnamese food in the local area. Personally I like the Chicken Pho. Prices are reasonable and service is good. I eat here on a regular basis and enjoy it. The older family who runs the restaurant are friendly and I will keep coming back.

My wife and I shared a bowl of pho. The service was very fast and friendly. The food, exquisite.We stayed a while chatting and asked for a BBQ pork banh mi.This was no problem and again served promptly and happily and again delicious.We are staying at a nearby hotel and was happy to have such a chill friendly happy tasty place nearby.

I was definitely worried after reading the reviews but I really wanted pho and this place is really close to me so I figured I’d try it. It was pretty slow so the guy let me sit where I wanted outside.I wasn’t in a hurry so the reviews about slow service wasn’t a problem, but my pho came out within 10 minutes. I think people need to be a little more patient when they come to a family run restaurant with older owners, or just in general.I was concerned that the broth or noodles would taste like dirty water because I’ve been to places like that but the pho tasted fine. It wasn’t the best pho I’ve ever had but for a little mom and pop place in a little strip mall it was good.I’m kind of wondering about the reviews saying it was bland because do you know that you’re supposed to add the lime, basil, sriracha, & hoisin sauce to your liking? It didn’t taste bland to me at all.I only had the chicken pho so I can’t speak to anything else on the menu but you get a nice big bowl for a decent price & it’s yummy.

Great place to dine in. Affordable Vietnamese dishes and foods were satisfying. Must try their spicy beef pho. Service was great though you have to wait 10-15 minutes for the food to get on the table. Can be seated outside or inside depending on your choice. Covid safety measures were implemented wisely in this location.

I liked the old Pho La Jolla. This place was bought out and their original owners sold their business a couple months ago. Waiters were so rude. The pho was absolutely bland and tasteless. Real pho has visual oil in the broth, this did not. Never coming here again.

Good for take out. Bad for dine in. Pricey but very good food.I was staying at the hotel next door and thought I would eschew the high price of room service and order Pho La Jolla instead. I ordered 6 egg rolls. Thats it. There were no prices on the menu. When I arrived and the price was over 16$. I gafawed. The nice man said they had to raise prices since everything (I assume covid). While I waited, I noted that there were four other tables seated and actively eating when they started putting chairs on the tables tops essentially booting out the customers a half hour before close. I also couldnt help but notice that Usher Yeah! was playing overhead. Nothing gets me in the mood for Vietnamese food like derogatory hip hop music.The food? Well, quite a surprise in a good way. The portions were generous and the egg rolls were homemade. They came with a bag of lettuce and mint to eat in true Vietnamese style. Points for that. All in all, Id say get carry out if you can.Maybe if they werent kicking people out of the restaurant, they would not have to raise prices because of everything?

I called to place a to go order while looking at online pictures of the menu. Not only were each individual price off, but they charged for each to go container.I simply suggested they tell the price at the end of a call to set an expectation, but that was countered with a defensive attitude we arent responsible for the internet not showing wrong prices. We dont list prices on our website.
