My first time here and I’ll definitely be coming back ! Although it’s mostly a Pho place, my fiancé and I took advantage of the wide ranged menu and ordered the chicken Panang Curry and the Crispy chicken dish with a Thai tea to wash it down. The curry was amazing and by far was my favorite as well as my fiancés. The chicken was juicy and the flavors were on point. The crispy chicken dish wasn’t as crispy as we thought and the flavor was a 7/10. Would have been better fried up a little more but still good. The Thai tea wasn’t overly sweet which I like, we thought it was the perfect balance. The vibes here are amazing, nice aesthetic, perfect for a dinner date with your significant other or friends.

The workers were super nice and friendly and very attentive. the food was as good as the reviews say. i got beef tongue pho and fried chicken dumplings which were both amazing. the thai tea is very flavorful and one of the best i’ve ever had! i went in right at 4:30pm and the food was served very quickly. overall i will be returning next time im in la :)

Good neighborhood pho.Came here for a quick lunch. Service was very attentive and I got my food quickly. They have a good selection of not just pho but also Thai foodmThe Pho was tasty and a generous portion size with lots of noodles and meat. This little pho spot was so delicious. There is street parking in the neighborhood behind it and the curry was so comforting and delicious. The cucumber salad was refreshing and light. All the food was good, our waitress was so kind and got us in even near closing time. I would love to come back.

My first time going, I got take out. I called and ordered and the woman that answered took my order efficiently and quickly. Ordered the Pad Thai, Chicken Satay and the Spring Roll with Shrimp. First off, their Pad Thai is my new food addiction! Its a juicy Pad Thai, not dry like some Pad Thais can tend to be. The Satay just as juicy and the Spring rolls were super fresh! Everything had great flavor!!! 👍

The woman who worked at front tonight 11.28 - was incredibly rude.. gave terrible attitude by yelling at my younger sister during her picking up, who reassured her many times the pick up was confirmed on her end in a politely manner. she wouldn’t listen ended up pointing her finger to the wall acting like about to lose it…..I understand the food is decent having respect for the chef but you need staff who understands basic customer service ethics especially at this side of town. yelling at customers would never be acceptable. sadly, we won’t be ordering from here again.

I wish I could give this place a zero. Having poor customer service is NOT okay. The restaurant handed the wrong order to my driver, they couldnt be bothered to check the name. I called to explain and the woman on the phone was INSANELY rude, she also did not apologize and was very hard to communicate with. I could hear the correct Shelby in the background go in to pickup their order but they got mine instead. Restaurants need to be checking names and orders and understand how to speak to customers correctly and kindly. For the way your employee spoke to me I would NEVER dine here again and I suggest others to stay away. Customer service is a huge part of restaurant experience.

This last visit I ordered the seafood pho which was delicious. Shrimp, calamari, fish, snow crab claw. Rice noodle topped with green onion, cilantro and fried onion. Served with a side of bean sprouts, basil, jalapeno, fried onion, hoisin, siracha sauce and lime. (I do not believe I was given the snow crab but thats ok) I also ordered chicken fried rice which one of the better versions Ive tried in a while. Both servings were extremely large. I highly recommend the fresh Thai Tea. I always ask for light ice because it goes way too fast with 75% of the cup being cubes.The restaurant is a casual setting. The service is friendly and the food takes very little time to prepare. Not too crowded at lunch time. Only street parking is available in front.

Great experience here. The pho was really good. The service was amazing, the server was super friendly and attentive, and even helped get our leftovers so we didnt spill soup everywhere. The portions are really big and the menu has Vietnamese and Thai options.

Im an Uber Eats driver, and I recently had a rather frustrating experience at this particular place. As we all know, theres no restroom in my car, and on my recent visit to pick up an order from here, I politely asked the waitress if I could use the restroom. To my surprise, she adamantly refused, stating that its reserved for customers only.I understand the need for customer-only policies, but its also essential to recognize that we, as delivery drivers, are people too, and we have the same basic human needs, including the need for a restroom. Considering that your café relies on Uber Eats, including my services, it would be greatly appreciated if you could offer restroom access to delivery drivers as well. This is the first place in the county where Ive encountered such an issue, and I must say, its been quite disappointing dealing with this. The staffs behavior was far from accommodating. I hope you can improve this aspect of your service in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

A unique pho experience. The menu is huge, the pho is clean and unique with a black pepper add I havent had before. The serving sizes are VERY generous. I got the bone marrow beef bahn mi and basically got 2 sandwiches for the price of one.

My first time visiting PHO MDR did not disappoint! I ordered the Tom Yum noodle soup and substituted chicken for shrimp. It was spicy, flavorful heaven in a bowl. This dish, along with several other menu items, are gluten free! (I am non celiac, high sensitivity.) Also got to chat with a co-owner and he was super cool and kind. Love this spot and will be ordering some takeout toNIGHT. ✌🏽

This place left some mixed feeling for us. From one standpoint everything was pretty good, but at the same time there were issues in everything. First of all, it takes a very long time for the food to be brought because there was only one waiter, and practically every table was taken. Second, it was very cold inside, but the waiter did turn of the conditioner. The waiter was nice, just slightly inattentive because he was alone. The soups were brought in giant buckets (we have been finishing these soups for three days), and overall they were okay. Wonton soup was very good. Tom Yum was too spice even in medium, one seafood soup was way too sour, but seafood pho was pretty good. Wonton shrimps were good. In conclusion, we dont like giving out anything less than fives, since we always appreciate the effort, but this place has some room for growth and improvement.

Will go again - So...I have been out of my foodie reviews because it has been quite busy. I recently moved to Los Angeles from Dallas and also started a new job. Lots of new things in my life recently. Tonight...I found a new favorite pho spot; well, the only one I had in LA so far.My how I was surprised on how rich the pho broth was. A perfect blend of umami, salty, savory, and ginger! This was a bit new. Normally, I dont think I had ginger in my pho broths. If it did, the evidence was not visible. The seafood was plentiful with large sized shrimps that looked like lobsters because they were so big...okay, bit exaggerated. It was a fresh dish to see the seafood including fish. Normally, this was not included in my seafood phos. I always try to get Thai iced tea when it is available...one of my favorite drinks. As I was feeling under the weather, this broth jumped my immune system!The exterior is a bit run down but the interior has a very hole in the wall vibe and casual. Good place to just wind down with a friend or...maybe a date.They say they have a parking lot but...consider it non-existent. It can fit 2 cars but if 1 parks by the entrance...good luck. Street parking seems decently available, more so at night.

The peanut sauce with the coven satay is yummy, and the pho broth was one of the best I have had. The beef in the pho was a bit chewy. Maybe I should have ordered pho with raw steak instead. Solid pho, but they close everyday from 230-430 which is like my prime lunch time during the week! Get there by 2 as depending on who is working they start thrning diners away then. Also not a ton of parking, for cars or bikes.Also be aware that they automatically add 18% gratuity for all dine-in parties.Lately (Fall 2023) there has been fairly loud hiphop playing in the restaurant which is not my favorite but is still a couple decibels shy of being overbearing and annoying.

I recently dined at this Vietnamese gem in Los Angeles, and I was blown away by the incredible flavors and authentic dishes. The servers are really sweet and the restaurant is a great location and super cute decor. Unfortunately the pho is just not good. Broth tasted like water/flavorless, meat was tough, and it was a $20 dollar bowl of soup since they include an 18 percent gratuity charge. I hope they make some improvements in the future.

The Seafood Noodle Soup in Ginger Broth is next level. I can’t even remember what else we got here - it stole the show and my heart. My god I hope this place stays around forever. By far my favorite Pho restaurant in all of LA! I’ll add photos next time I go but this place is a must try! The space is small and cute, prices are fair, staff is friendly and food is… phenomenal. My boyfriend and I have been 3 times and have each gotten a new dish each visit and nothing has been a disappointment. Also, Ordering to-go is easy and the packaging is really nice and you can actually use it to eat your food instead of re-plating. Get hungry. Choose anything on the menu. ENJOY!!

I eat a lot of Pho. About once a week when the weather isnt super hot for hot soups.When i saw the menu and saw Pho Rare instead of Pho Thai, i thought maybe this place would be bootleg. But it was great.Pho is really hard to make. Unlike Ramen, the broth is really delicate. It should be nearly clear, not dark. They nailed it. The rare steak came on a separate plate, not in the soup, as it should be.They gave me all the lime (Im Mexican and our blood thins if we dont consume enough lime. Bahaha) and green onion i wanted.Definitely coming back when in the Venice area!

People very nice and happy I found them. When I mentioned an item I was surprised not to see on the menu they were interested in my opinion. Just had shrimp pho and shrimp chips. Both good. Finally had time to try this little gem MDR after work for dinner. Grabbed some veggie pho to go and was instantly drawn in by the smell of the broth and Thai basil. Drove to the beach to enjoy it and relax and it did not disappoint. The broth was vegan and full of flavor. I added the sriracha and lime which only complimented the layers of flavor. Fresh veggies with a crunch and steaming hot noodles swimming in broth that not only warmed my stomach but also my heart. This is probably the best pho noodle soup I’ve had and I will be coming back in the future. Go to spot for this treat

Really wanted to like this place however it failed on every aspect. The pho is a large portion but lacks flavor. Also they give one lime wedge and 3 jalapeno slices per pho, want more? Thats extra. Wouldnt mind paying if the flavor was there but the meat was chewy and flavorless. Also got a bone marrow bah mi and that was horrible. My guest and I agreed it was the worst sandwich we have ever gotten. It was 95% bread and 5% filling. Also its the wrong bread for a bah mi, more like hoagie bread. Almost choked on the dry bread.

We just ate here a couple hours ago. I’ve already written a review for this place from my own yelp account, but I went here with my girlfriend tonight and I’m now writing one from her account. WE LOVE THIS PLACE and just ate inside for the first time. We got delivery during the worst phase of the pandemic and went there in person tonight to eat outside and see what it was like. It’s a humble little place with cozy vibes and a good outdoor patio area. I got what I always order — the veggie pho and the tofu Bahn mi. I don’t know what to say, I just love the taste of the food so much. That spicy pho bowl....yum. I met the owner and his husband and they were really nice so...I’m just so happy there’s a pho place in the neighborhood, their pho is delicious and steaming hot and great with a bunch of siracha dumped in. We’ll be back whenever we can.

Not the most extensive Vietnamese menu (e.g. no bûn), and they charge an extra $1 for lots of potential additions to the dishes, but I still think this is worth a try if you are a fan of Vietnamese food. They have more than just pho soup. I liked the crab without soup dish, but my wife refused to try it because of the fishy smell. It was very good. She had the raw steak pho, which was quite tasty. I would have liked more bean sprouts, but it was more than enough for her. We always start with shrimp spring rolls, and the ones here were very tasty. We also sat outside on the patio, which is quaint. The best part of the meal was the attentive staff stopping by just enough without being a bother.

Really want to give this place 4 or 5 stars based on many of the reviews, but have to be a little honest here.The restaurant itself is great vibes, but food was pretty mediocre.We ordered the egg rolls and the rare steak pho. They only have the veggie egg rolls as an option. I understand this place is probably trying to cater to the vegetarian/vegan market especially being on the west side, which I think is great considering a lot of pho places dont truly have that option. However, think they should still have the traditional egg roll (cha gio) with pork, shrimp, or chicken as an option for those that do eat meat. Overall, the egg rolls werent bad though, but not amazing either.Regarding the pho, it was also okay. I would eat it again if I had to, but probably more for convenience. They served it in a very large bowl with tons of broth, but hardly any onions and cilantro. They also didnt provide a lot of meat. They charge for any extra toppings, when typically it comes with the bowl. The pho has flavor, I just wouldnt say its 100% authentic.With that being said, I do think this place has tons of potential, and its clearly catering to a neighborhood that doesnt have much Asian/Vietnamese/Thai cuisine.As someone who is Vietnamese, I would recommend to the kitchen to make the pho a bit more authentic, theyre close to getting it right!

The food was amazing! It is a warm cozy place, but we sat in the patio with our dog.The dumplings and the crispy wonts was fresh and yum. The vegetarian pho was filling (large quantity) and was not at all oily. Totally recommend this place if you have a Pho Craving.

I really wanted to like this new local restaurant. My family spent roughly $150 to try a few things here tonight. Expensive is fine if the food is good (rent is high around here, I get it), but the Banh Mi was perhaps the worst I’ve ever had. I’ve spent two weeks in Vietnam and while I’m no specific expert I’ve had 100+ Banh Mi in my life and I can confirm this was the worst one I’ve had. Bad bread selection, bad meat selection. Nothing can save it from there. Banh Mi lives or dies on bread selection, I could have gotten better at Ralphs and Lee’s well Lee’s $2 banh mi is 3 Michelin star compared to this. We ordered many things. All were the worst versions I’ve had except the Pho. The Pho is the only thing edible here, the rest we threw away. I’d give the Pho a 2 star on its own, the broth was interesting and strong profile but inauthentic and perhaps trying too hard despite missing the key flavor staples of pho. Everything else I tried to eat was a zero star and literally thrown away. My family agreed. Mediocre food wouldn’t justify writing a review, charging premium prices for the worst Vietnamese I’ve had does just because I’m super disappointed this place didn’t bring their A game when opening in a foodie city. My mom was here from out of town and said the spots where she lives in Tucson were better. Made me feel sad for Venice/MDR since we usually have restaurants that are way better than Tucson!I hope this shop gets it together, I root for small businesses and I support all our local restaurants here in Venice/MDR but this meal was borderline offensive to even sell because most people who know Vietnamese food wouldn’t serve this to their own friends or family let alone charge this much for it. I realize it is a new restaurant so I hope it was just an off day for them but either way I’m bummed out that they let this level of food go out the door to any customer. I want you guys to succeed. Please try harder and don’t get brainwashed by yes men with the other reviews. We need great Vietnamese food here, please step it up for us all.

This is the worst pho in Venice. Overpriced. It doesn’t have any flavor. The broth is water . They don’t accept card. The food is so poor $20 pho.

Well the pho and broth tasted good . But rip off on veggies been put on .. I ordered vegetables broth ( even with out tofus ) sadly there were no vegetables except few carrots & ginger . This is a total rip off for the 15$ price . When ordered for special pho vegetable this demands for some vegetables to be in ther . Even a fair priced restaurants will have some veggies on them . This is merciless for eaters with a equivalent price tag close enough to meat alternatives .

Nice little restaurant where you can sit comfortably inside. But mainly food is picked up there. But we found that you can also sit well. The food comes super quickly and the service is very friendly and also open and helpful to tourists stupid questions about how to eat the food correctly. The prices are almost free for the conditions in Los Angeles
