Panda Express
4325 Glencoe Ave, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292, United States
I have eaten there 3 times in 7 years and in those 7 years it has not improved. Over priced and under plated. I would rather go to a fast food Chinese restaurant then panda.

I thoroughly enjoy this place. Not because it has great Ambiance or music, they have none, its because you can eat here cheaper than you can cook at home. Its quick, they give you plenty of food and each item is only $2. (Update: its now $3 - $4). IIts Americans Chinese food served cafeteria style, think Panda, or you can order takeout or doordash delivery. You get a good variety of food from teriyaki chicken to broccoli beef and two kinds of noodles, etc. They also serve chinese-style crunchy fried chicken. Which by the way is delicious. Very different than American style fried chicken. I usually stick to the Chinese food and spend $4 which is plenty of food. Parking is difficult and once they get to know you, theyll let you use the bathroom. Ive never tried their juices or fruit drinks but the pictures look pretty good. Definitely stop by and give them a try. EnjoyIf you like my many reviews please hit like!
PHO MdR Noodle Culture

I really wanted to like this new local restaurant. My family spent roughly $150 to try a few things here tonight. Expensive is fine if the food is good (rent is high around here, I get it), but the Banh Mi was perhaps the worst I've ever had. I've spent two weeks in Vietnam and while I'm no specific expert I've had 100+ Banh Mi in my life and I can confirm this was the worst one I've had. Bad bread selection, bad meat selection. Nothing can save it from there. Banh Mi lives or dies on bread selection, I could have gotten better at Ralphs and Lee's well Lee's $2 banh mi is 3 Michelin star compared to this. We ordered many things. All were the worst versions I've had except the Pho. The Pho is the only thing edible here, the rest we threw away. I'd give the Pho a 2 star on its own, the broth was interesting and strong profile but inauthentic and perhaps trying too hard despite missing the key flavor staples of pho. Everything else I tried to eat was a zero star and literally thrown away. My family agreed. Mediocre food wouldn't justify writing a review, charging premium prices for the worst Vietnamese I've had does just because I'm super disappointed this place didn't bring their A game when opening in a foodie city. My mom was here from out of town and said the spots where she lives in Tucson were better. Made me feel sad for Venice/MDR since we usually have restaurants that are way better than Tucson!I hope this shop gets it together, I root for small businesses and I support all our local restaurants here in Venice/MDR but this meal was borderline offensive to even sell because most people who know Vietnamese food wouldn't serve this to their own friends or family let alone charge this much for it. I realize it is a new restaurant so I hope it was just an off day for them but either way I'm bummed out that they let this level of food go out the door to any customer. I want you guys to succeed. Please try harder and don't get brainwashed by yes men with the other reviews. We need great Vietnamese food here, please step it up for us all.

I went there with a friend for the first time because we were in the area and the reviews looked decent. I thought the restaurant was really nice. They had both indoor and outdoor seating (outdoor was pretty COVID friendly). The hostess was nice and our server was fantastic, super friendly. We ordered the Avocado Toast (Small Bites menu), Havana Chicken, Steak Frites and a hot matcha latte.-The hot matcha latte was a mess. Disappointingly, no latte art but not a big deal. The matcha was gritty and tasted weak. Thats really all I need to say about it.-The Avocado Toast was one of the best (if not the best) Ive ever had. Absolutely delicious, loved the orange white balsamic reduction.-Havana Chicken was surprisingly good and really moist for white meat. It tasted like it had been brined-- juicy with just the right amount of salt. I did not expect to like it that much.-Steak Frites was a disappointment. Too dry and chewy. The grilled onions on the top looked so awful. Ill share a photo but it honestly looked like a bunch of earth worms sitting on top of my meat. Tell me Im wrong. The overall presentation of the food was pretty amateur. Nothing looked all that appetizing, so the plating could definitely use some refinement. If Im in the area again, I would return and try a couple new things along with the amazing Avocado Toast again.
VENICE RAMEN

Just tried tonight and turned into one of my favorite spots. They have 4 locations, starting in shubuya, so it's legit stuff out here. Try the first thing on the menu. Asahi beer too - whambo blamo combo if you ask me. Tight staff and one tv screen that shows high speed footage of people in Shibuya, you know that one intersection that a lot of people cross at. I remember I went a while ago and didn't really get that feeling on the ground, like sure it was a bunch of people, but maybe I went at an off hour, where it was just some tourists and business men trying to get to their next location, I feel like 85 percent of them weren't even thinking “damn this is the super famous cross that people speed up and put on TVs in Venice beach, but hey, when you're getting to work or your family, last thing on your mind.I think that has to do something with familiarity and novelty. When you do something, meet someone, visit somewhere for the first time, it always feels so exciting. Eventually it wears off, but I feel like life is all about reinvigorating these areas you onced love. If you loved something at one point in your life, it must be true to some extent. Your heart never forgets, you just need to remind it sometimes. One thing is the egg could be a little more runny. And I like how they serve the beer in a frosted mug - nice touch

Made reservations weeks in advance, the day of had to change our res for 2 guests to 3 because our babysitter canceled last minute. I called the restaurant a couple hours Im advance to request the change to 3 guests, which they did without hesitation. Thank you. When we arrived at the restaurant Saturday night at 8pm, it was quite busy and a lot of guests were waiting outside. We were immediately greeted by the hostesses in a timely and attentive manor. That makes a huge difference, you want your initial greet to be friendly and fast with a sense of urgency. They also acknowledged we were celebrating a birthday. We waited around 15-20 minutes for the table. I am not sure if this location is a reservation only or if they accept walk ins but it seemed a little long to wait considering we had a reservation, totally understandable however given the busy night however. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was definitely lacking. We were sat outside in a corner near the edge of the restaurant perimeter. The place overwhelmingly smelled like gas from the heat lamps which is a huge turn off at a high end restaurant when you are trying to enjoy your food. Not to mention the other smells from the parking garage which is quite close too. I was completely disappointed and distracted by the location of our dinning it almost ruined the experience. To start, the server took a little while to greet us over 5 minutes. Our server was still great and attentive. We ordered the calamari which they were out of the entire week we were told. No big deal, shortages aren't uncommon. We did opt of of appetizers given that was the only one we desired. For entrees we ordered from their prefix menu which included two lobster tails, Châteaubrand steak, two sides and a desert for two. Our daughter had the medallions and shrimp. Our salads and soups were rang in wrong and the runner was annoyed at the mistake when we asked he correct it. We did not enjoy having him attend to us. The salads were delicious. I do not recommend the Lobster Bisque, it had a very bitter taste which the server admitted he did not like either and offered to change it out. The rest of the meal was delightful. The Châteaubriand steak is known to melt in your mouth most exquisite however, it was a little chewy and on the rare side. (We ordered medium) The highlight was the Blueberry Mojito and the Lobster Tail.Overall the ambiance wasn't great, not what I was expecting from this chain, the other locations are phenomenal, I hate to say it, this one is very average. The entrees were fabulous and cooked just right. We will not be back to this location however, would consider giving it a second chance.

I mainly go to this location for CVS. They have Panda Express if you like Chinese food. You will find a Pavilion, Chase and BofA banks, many other restaurants and retail stores. Its a jewel in the Marina Del Rey area for those living in it and others visiting the premise.
Pavilions
4365 Glencoe Ave, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292, United States
Best market around! Not only is it the Least Expensive, but they actually have the Best Fruit in town! Better than Ralphs & even Better than Gelsons! (I am not comparing Whole Foods because its too far away.) The people who work there are genuinely nice & helpful! Lines are not that long because supervisors call extra checkers to help. I Love their Chicken Soup for when Im sick. Im on a low sodium diet, so I just add a little water. Perfect combination of noodles, chicken, & soup!My husband likes the pre-packaged veggies that only need a little microwaving. Even our dog prefers sliced Turkey from Pavilions Deli better than the other local market delis! The taste is better & they are more evenly sliced!I still drink Silk Soy Milk, which they have, but they stopped carrying the Light Vanilla which was my favorite! As well, they usually carry Weight Watchers Giant Frozen Fudge Bars which, if you let melt awhile, taste just like the frozen malteds you used to get at movie theatres! Delish! Its surprising just how many varied items they sell at this Pavilions because it is not as large as others. But the drawback is that because of that, they do tend to run out of certain things at times like in the dairy department. Its good to learn when they restock your favorite foods. Speaking of favorite foods, Pavilions carrys my favorite freshly baked Bran Muffins! Not to sweet, not to dry, just perfect after 48 seconds in the microwave! You can always order them in advance & speaking of which, their bakery has THE BEST BIRTHDAY CAKES; Everyone says so, & the main consensus is Vanilla Cake, Vanilla Frosting with Vanilla Filling! They often have the same incredible Vanilla Cupcakes!! Excuse me while I drool! Fortunately, theres a Starbucks inside the store to top it off with a Cappuccino!Lastly, shopping is so easy at Pavilions! Its located in a small shopping center that includes a 24-hour CVS, a fabulous Yogurtland frozen yogurt that allows free tastes, a couple of banks with ATMs, restaurants, gas station, clothing stores, etc, plenty of handicap parking spaces, & its right by the Marina Freeway that leads to the 405, San Diego Freeway. ?

Leaving this review only to the leasing agents & management in front deskIt was a nightmare of 2 weeks trying to reach Leasing agents/Assistant manager to figure out and get clarified on a layout information which is basic information which you guys should have knowledge on and give me inputs, rather than me digging through your web page and finding info. I have to feed your agents with information what i find on the website. I have to draw diagrams and explain to them whats on the layout.Guesswork everytime and no firm answers on any of the questions asked . Can you please give adequate knowledge to your team and equip them with what they need to do on their job. Layout questions are something basic and I believe all leasing agents /assistant managers should know and cannot do guess work . I literally saved 500$ from putting in an application and literally saved myself from your unprofessional management.Guesswork 1 : You told that 3b panorama penthouse and 3b panorama has similar layout, which it did notGuesswork 2 : you told that all beds on 3b panorama will have Marina viewsGlad that I did my research, otherwise I would have put in an application and suffered on this .Thank you for your very poor slow responses and sitting on emails and never cared to do your job as a leasing agent / assistant managerI had to lose patience because my lease timeline is coming to an end and I need to finalize on things otherwise I would be left with no apartment. Hence I have been following back to back for more than 2 weeks . Whenever I call you always goes to a Entrata 3rd party answering service service and these leasing agents on the answering have no clue on any layouts or leasing . NOT SURE WHY are they sitting and forwarding all the messages . The folks at the leasing office will never reply to your EMAILSI am sorry to say that These folks I talked to have no clue on what job they are supposed to do. I have to follow up several times and I have to feed them with information that I see on the website. No knowledge on layoutsNo timely responseNo phone calls ever attendedGuess work on all questions and never answer preciseCan't even search through videos to find the exact layout ( they did send one after nudging them several times, but simple enough to do it on the first go. If the leasing agent cannot understand a layout, what else are they supposed to know on their job ?, feels like your maintenance team would know more about the layouts)If I had a chance I would hire leasing agents/Assistant managers with young & hungry who are more professional & knowledgeable. I know you all get a fat rent check, but keeping professional and ethical is way more important.Melissa I heard you're the boss . If you care a dime about your management/organization . Please do call me . I wouldn't run a show like this !!And do not leave a generic reply I see from other reviews, do yourself a favor and call your Entrata answering service and leave a message to your leasing agents. !!
