We decided to pull over to eat to wait out traffic. It’s conveniently located off the highway with great reviews.This place is very affordable for a place that’s near the beach. It did not sacrifice taste even though it’s far from the Vietnamese community.They offer 3 sizes for pho ranging from $11-$15. We got a small bowl of chicken pho ($11.50), small house combo pho ($12), side of oxtail ($8), and fried spicy chicken wings located under “side” ($15). It came with rice!The pho was decent, the oxtail was on the smaller end and not as tender but it had so much meat! It was like eating ribs.I found it odd the spicy fried chicken wings was not under appetizer but under sides. Different than the garlic wings listed under appetizer. It also came with rice! The wings were jumbo. Such a great deal. It was a wet marination and not spicy.We would definitely stop here again in the feature if we need to wait out traffic.Plenty of parking, outdoor seating possible and they have a private room for large parties.

Well, I liked the cheese wontons. Our waiter was awful, extremely rude, and snappy. A good first impression means nothing here. He literally grumbled when we placed our order.I wouldnt rank this place high on the cleanliness scale. The more I looked around, the less I wanted to see. Id skip out on this one.

Pho was delicious and decently priced. I am not sure whats going on but many pho places I feel are way over charging for pho. Portions and size of Fried Eggrolls were small but at least they were tasty. Didnt care much for the Shrimp Spring Rolls. They will take off-menu orders. We ordered a bowl that was tendon only.We came during regular dinner hours and didnt feel rushed. Place is kind of dated and did not seem the cleanest but was the best pho this far from Westminster and reasonably priced.

Seeing all these 5 star reviews apparently they have not been to a better place. The waiter was super rude and rushing me to order..The food was disgusting no taste over charge for a bowl that should be a regular size. The chicken was basically non existent in the bowl and literally thin strips with no flavor. Out of the many different pho places Ive been to this is by far the worst. Would give 0 stars. Mens restroom was disgustingly dirty. Buyer Beware

I really hate to do this.This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Clemente. I work in SC and I live in North County SD.I always get the Chicken Chow Fun Soft Noodles it’s delicious! I have been coming here for years. I had 1 bad experience but I let it go. Today I placed an online order (first time) .. everything went well … half way eating my food .. I found a BUG! I just couldn’t believe it.. As much as I love this place . I can’t no more.I would advice check your food.

The Pho here is sooooo delicious!!! We ordered the beef one & all the veggies (green onions, regular onions, bean sprouts & lime) were fresh & crisp. When they brought the Pho out to us you could tell it was super fresh, it was hot! The staff are extremely friendly, they kept topping our waters off & made sure we had all we needed. This is the best Pho place I’ve been to.

This place seems to get better every time we go. I workout right next door and sometimes we choose to go here out of convenience but between the high value and the high level of tasty/yum I think we will be back more often!The oxtail pho is dynamite. I love the vermicelli dishes especially with the combo of pork, shrimp and egg roll. Tried it yesterday with rice instead, but stole some of my wife’s noodles :) the pho really is a winner! So tasty! Excited for my next meal there.

Needed a soup/pho fix. The price was a little higher than some places Ive been to. A small-medium bowl, is hella more than enough. But nevertheless, it was a pretty good, clean, well constructed restaurant. Staff was kind and nice to us. Place definitely had some character. Conveniently located, passing through, between Orange County and San Diego. Id recommend it for sure.

I am surprised this place has good reviews. I arrived here hungry. Entered waited about 4 minutes to get a table. It was 145 pm I guess tail end of lunch rush.Sat down table was sticky I can live with that I am hungry.Menu looked like it had been recycled several times its its paper menu.Waited for 10 minutes for someone to take my order. No one came decided to walk out.It is probably the best thing that happened.After felling how sticky the table and the recycled menu I started having second thoughts of the cleanliness of the place. 15 to 20 min from this dump there are 5 other pho places heading north to get foodCleaner establishments it is covid timeGo eat else where alcohol wipes to clean my hands my hands were super sticky

Food safety hazard is a very serious issue. We saw them having some okay reviews and bought some shrimp spring rolls today. After the first bite, we knew something was kind of off. Those shrimps smell like feet and taste sour. The most disgusting part is we already ate one of them. Spring rolls peanut sauce and the wrap kind of covered up the smell a bit. After the first one, we opened it up and the horrible smells bursted out. This is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. We called the owner, he just said oh ok. no solution, no apologies. Im surprised no one sue them yet. THIS IS DISGUSTING.

Mine was curry with chicken and noodles, and....... it was best of best. Little creamy, good enough spicy, and well cooked chicken. Try this. With curry (for deep in sauce) and fried calamari. Im editing my review. I gave this restaurant one more try and it was great! Something must have been off the first time we tried it. We ordered 2 items for takeout. My boyfriend had the Vegetable Pho with Steamed Tofu and the broth is vegetarian (they asked if we specifically want vegetarian broth). I had the Vermicelli with Steamed Tofu (theres vegetables too, of course) and it was so good! Ill be back!

Delicious, well-positioned pho! Totally hit the spot. Incredibly quick and kind service. Our family was on the road, so I was eager to have a quick but healthy and delicious meal and get back on the road asap. This place was perfect. My only criticism is that I could not enjoy their milk coffee because they only had dairy milk. Aside from that, if we ever get a pho craving anytime we are doing the Mexico to Cali and back drive (which is often), this place will surely be on our radar!

Dont go after 8pm, they like to shut down early and will rush you. I liked this place because its something besides a burger after 8 pm when everything else is shut down, Im hungry and I want to treat myself. Ive been rushed out twice in a row now long before closing. I can understand once but two times in a row they bring me the bill before Im halfway done and ask me to pay. Then come back and insist I sign the check while still eating. Okay food but the service left a bad taste in my mouth

Don’t come, this is the worse pho and the worse restaurant I have ever been to. The staff was incredibly rude, call when taking my order and the cashier was rude,too. I order fried rice, it came very quickly, turned out some of the rice and ingredients were still cold…the shrimp spring roll was bad too, super dry. Looks like they made the food already, store it, reheat it when people order the food.Again, don’t come, don’t ruin your meal time, it’s totally not worth it.

Where do I even start? This review is long past due as I’ve ordered food here hundreds of times. Quality and service is an understatement. They’ve been perfect on every single order. All the flavors are spot on! The service can’t be beat. Did I mention the food is AMAZING? I’ve eaten Vietnamese food all over this country and I have to say this is my top 3. I recommend the Pho of course but the Garlic Chicken Wings are delicious and the Salt n Pepper Shrimp (spicy) is my favorite!

There was this pho spot I used to love growing up, and Ive been looking for a place that comes close to that ever since. Pho Thanh Binh has pretty much nailed it. Broth is flavorful, noodles are nice and thin so that they sponge up the broth, and the meat is decent quality (which you dont often see). Food came very quickly too

Food poisoning.After eating here I got a nasty food poisoning episode.I ordered the garlic shrimp and ate two, I had to discard the rest because it was bad! Since the sauce masked the flavor and the breading masked the smell, I ate two, but then boom, the taste was bad and the odor was unbearable.I dont know what happened to this place, but sad I wont be back.Ordered through door dash.

Really authentic Pho and Vietnamese food. Love the noodle dishes and my favorite is the chicken or tofu yellow curry. Amazing! The decor is lacking, but the value and prices more than make up for it. I dont know how this place works but I honestly dont care. The food is always awesome, super affordable, and lightning fast. I can get my order in seriously about 5 minutes. I usually get either pho or a Banh Mi and love them both, but they have a huge menu if you are into other things. My one critique is the bathroom sink needed wiping down, but it was right after the lunch rush so understandable. Props to this restaurant for being able to survive and stay open and I wish them well.

Really good Vietnamese food! Its a hidden gem in San Clemente. Located in the same parking lot as the dollar store, this place gets busy on Saturday evenings. Ive never tried this spot before until I saw the raving reviews for it and Im glad we finally stopped by here one day. We always get pho here and its consistently good. Ive been meaning to get something else on the menu because I see what people order and the food looks delicious. Customer service is almost always excellent. Sometimes they get busy and thats understandable. Theyre quick to bring glasses of water, take our orders, have food out, and refill our drinks. Servers are nice, friendly, and speak English well (for those who are worried about that).

To my surprise the beef was completely raw and the soup was not hot enough to cook it. I guess I’m more used to other place cooking the beef to some extent. This is one of the few Vietnamese restaurants in south Orange County. I have been going there for years and its always very good. Food is fresh and portions are very good. What would you do? I was having dinner and our server was wearing a mask. About half way through dinner another server NOT WEARING A MASK, he was coughing a lot and serving people. I watched him as he went from table to table refilling waters and coughing. When he came to our table to refill our waters, I asked him if he had a mask. He said he did. I told him to find it and put it on, I told him I witnessed him walking around coughing and serving people. He walked away and NEVER put on a mask. I went up to the gentleman at the cash register and told him. I pointed the server out to him. The server never put on a mask. Im not sure that anything will be done. Im sure they just ignored me. So would you have handled it the way I did? Bottom line I wont be back. EVER

My husband and I came here, while on our way from Oceanside. We got really hungry and had a craving for some Vietnamese food instead of the usual fast food place. We took a chance with this place and loved our little spontaneous experience. The staff were friendly and the food was great! The place was a bit run down with torn furniture, but that doesnt really detract from our experience as furniture doesnt necessarily mean its a bad place. The decor was still nice enough to distract us from the furniture anyway. Will definitely add this to the list of places to revisit again. Had such a great experience!!

This was my first time having Vietnamese food. It was really good! My friend and I shared the egg rolls and spring rolls, and I got the beef pho and the fried rice with shrimp, beef, and pork. So much food for the price! I ate a whole portion and still brought home at least a whole portion 😱Its very spacious in the dining room, and the decor is beautiful 😊Im happy my friend brought me here, she has been frequenting this restaurant for quite a while.

Any Vietnamese place is a must try Pho. First off, the service the two times Ive been here is super fast and attentive. The pho however, not so much. I went here quite some time ago and tried the shrimp pho. The main downer was the unclean shrimp. Not deveined and well, thats just gross! Had a major craving yesterday for pho and decided...ok...they cant mess up chicken. The fresh basil would have gone in the trash at my house. Browning leaves. And the stock once again was just not very tasty. The broth tastes a bit dirty. The service earned most of the stars as I would not recommend trying the pho. Maybe try something else.

First off, I have to say how friendly and how good the employees were, all that were working there wanted their customers coming back.I ordered the PHÓ brisket only. The broth was great but the brisket was very, very, tough, you could really tell, definitely was not cooked long enough.Another dish ordered at the table was OK, it had a small pieces of pork, I was told the shrimp was good. Reading the reviews people seem to be happy with other things that were ordered so I would try something else next time.

They do pho so, so well. I have tried pho all over orange 3and beyond, and I have to say, I will drive out of my way to get pho here. Its Its best pho south of Irvine. My niece gets the vegetable pho, I ask for the rare beef pho. Have the meat on the side so it doesnt overcook and you will have a fantastic bowl of beef pho.

My go-to pho item is always Pho Tai (bare beef noodle soup) and this time was no different. The food came quickly, but the broth was bland, yet oily. Later on I had slight acid reflex from this meal and had after-tastes of my meal. On a positive side note, the bean sprouts were very fresh and crunchy, just the way I like it!Service was great and accommodating as I was part of a large group. The staff was speedy and efficient with getting our food out on time. The waiter even came by to check on us.Ample parking, convenient location right off the freeway. Prices are slightly higher compared to other pho joints, but there probably arent too many pho restaurants in the area. Im willing to give this place another chance when Im in the area and craving pho.

The Fried Calamari had a taste that I couldn’t even describe as well as being soggy and limp. The cheese wontons were about 99.9% fried, greasy breading that left my wife and I feeling nauseous and the egg rolls were about as dry and flavorless as a chunk of sand you find on North Beach. This place saves my fiance and Is life when we get sick. We use that as our excuse to get a couple of large bowls of pork ramen. The broth that they use here is absolute gold and the pork has a sweetness to it that is out of this world. The portions are enough to give us two meals each out of each bowl.
