The food is very delicious and very generous in amount. The place is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the crispy honey shrimp and house special chicken — kids love them. Steam broccoli is cooked just right.

I just went to this store to purchase a small order of chow mein. The employee behind the register named Consume Hernandez told me that they didnt sell that item. I was there less than 10 days ago and purchased it I was told there were 2 sizes the small and large on that visit. This visit the employee told me that I was wrong and that item didnt exist. I said if thats the case I wasnt interested I then asked if I could speak to the manager he said he was the GM. I said could I have your business card and he said they didnt have those. The service I just received today was horrendous and extremely rude. The manager seems to think hes in charge of all pick up sticks if thats the case I wont be eating here ever again.

I normally do the House Special Chicken (obviously can’t go wrong with it, sooo tasty) but decided to try the Kung Pao Steak Entree for a change and it was awful. Not sure what kind of meat they use but it’s tasteless chewy rubber with a touch of cleaning solution and crunched on something like a tiny pebble.Stick with chicken if you enjoy this chain.Two stars is for always great service. Always.

My wife and I just left the Pick-up Stix in Avenida encinas in carlsbad. Several times before today they were able to do a vegan tofu dish or two. One time they said they have all 4 they can do. But this time they said it’s not on the menu and I talked to two different people, and they pretty much told me I was wrong. So I guess either they do or they don’t. Obviously they’re not catering to people that have a interest in being vegan, sad since we’re right across the street.

Food wasn’t good atall. Their house teriyaki chicken had too much soya sauce oil and over cooked. Maybe it’s just the cook. Usually I always like pick up Stix wherever I eat.

Probably a 3.5 to be fair. We ordered online, and our food was ready as expected. The sweet and sour chicken was good, as was the fried rice and chow mein noodles. Disappointed in the beef and broccoli. The meat was tough. Egg rolls were also good. Portion sizes were okay. Cost nearly $30 for a takeout dinner for two. Big TV with college hoops on, and a nice but small outdoor seating area. Wed go back, but wed pass on the beef and broccoli.

2 yrs ago at the LAX airport we stumbled on Pick Up Stix and the food was OUTSTANDING! This time visiting Carlsbad from GA, we found there was 1 in town and was SUPER EXCITED. Unfortunately, the 2 experiences were sadly very different. We ordered the same as in LAX yet received 90% Carrots versus chicken; After removing ALL the carrots, the box was pretty much EMPTY! We were highly disappointed 😢😡

I have never ate at Pick Up Stix, I heard about it but I was willing to try it. Thats if I found one near me in the South Bay. I came in after a trip to Tijuana Airport, I had the drunken noodles, 🍜 they were soo good! The cashier/employee there was very helpful in explaining the menu and the different varieties of food they have there. The facility itself was located in a real good shopping center in Carlsbad, the inside of the establishment was clean including the restrooms. Mind you, theyre off the freeway and even then they are clean and dont smell of urine. Mega plus, hands down. I would recommend the food and a trip to pick up Stix for a quick bite.

We got food here today. And with a military discount. The gentleman behind the counter was so helpful and informative. He was so nice to us and packed our order within 10 min or less. He was really knowledgeable and friendly. I forgot to grab his name but this guy deserves recognition. We love this location and will come back again and again. The food is great and delicious.

I had not ordered from this chain for about 15 years. Decided to order in. The food was hot and looked appetizing. However I was looking for a taste which I did not get. Not only that there were small pieces of fine hair in the food which prevented me to finish it.Save your money and appetite for a better tasting food without the condiments(hair) . Cheers

I got the beef drunken noodles. Its over flavored; very rich, even more than panda express, but I feel like its trying harder to taste original. The best Asian food is more subtle. My tongue is left feeling pickled, and Im going to need to use the bathroom immediately. Cream cheese wantons were good, but even the sweet and sour sauce was strangely citrus for some reason. They seem to try to make flavors much more complex than they need to be, the complexity is not executed with finesse. Just my opinion.

I have to say this Pick Up Sticks is amazing!! I have severe allergies, and Liz and her crew really when above and beyond for me, to ensure what the were preparing didn’t have anything I was allergic to in! I have never had a restaurant go so above and beyond as what they did tonight!! It was refreshing to see amazing customer service stills exists!! I will for sure be a repeat customer!On a side note… this establishment is extremely clean, including the bathroom. This location cares about their place of business and the customers they serve!! I would have given 10 stars ⭐️ if I could!! Every single Pick Uo Team member when above and beyond!!If there is a bad review written, it was done by a Karen!!!

There have been some changes. They no longer have lunch combos. All of the entrees come with white rice. Fried rice is an extra charge. An ample portion. My choice was delicious, but I was stuffed. I have enough for another time. I had Mongolian Beef and it was yummy. Love the flavor.

Food is excellent when you’re looking for microwave ready food standard. Veggies are raw. Wonton Soup has no real wontons. Noodles have the right texture but with no flavor. Gentrified. White washed. You’re better off spending money at Panda Express.

I had a curry garlic dish with shrimp and fresh steamed veggies, brown rice cooked right, pot stickers ok. Plenty of seating a step better than Panda, wish they had these restaurant in northern cal. Went here for dinner as we had our dog and couple sit outside. Food is the normal for Pick up Stix. I had the House chicken with white rice and it was good. Service was good and location close to where we were staying so that worked. Ill be back.

Its just okay. The most boring Chow Mein ever. But the soup my husband got was very tasty looking. Full of big fresh veggies, shrimp and chicken. Lemon chicken and Kung Pao were good. Rangoons were good, but a little soggy. Limited menu. Really the food is alright. But nothing special. It will work to soothe a Chinese food craving.

Very poor customer service. Ive been here twice now and each time was a poor experience. This last time I wanted to order a to go order. There were two cashiers doing nothing. And one greeted me with we close in 5 minutes and then when it was my turn to order the next one said we close in two minutes and arent taking orders. Wasted my time. I dont know why they didnt just take my to go order. Ive worked for several restaurants and we would never turn away a customer that entered before closing and often let customers in a few minutes after closing.

I am review an employee. Kristen employee # 21446. I come here regularly and have not been helped by her before until today. The other ppl who have helped me have been amazing. Kristen left me standing at the register waiting to order with out acknowledging me and chose to clear some tables and clean instead of helping the customer. Then when I asked for something they didn’t have she was very rude. I asked for a beef and broccoli kids and she replied very snappy you can’t we don’t have that. I asked oh shocked how she reacted to me and you just have it for house specialChicken ok i Ordered something else. Then how she asked for my name was just so rude not good customer service. She just said name, I was an inconvenience to her because I wanted to order something and she couldn’t work on her meaningless tasks. I really enjoyed coming here mainly for how sweet they treated me at the register it made me want to come back.. not sure anymore.

The food is tasty and the manager was accommodating to our needs. The one thing I didnt like was the fact that one thing we wanted to order we couldnt get because they didnt prep enough for the day. They make it fresh yes, but not being able to order the one thing you want is kind of a bummer. Overall though its a good place.

4$ for a small soda!!! Not only are the prices for the drinks not to be found any where on the menu, the cashier didnt know it and did not know how to un-ring it (allegedly) once they rang it up to check the price. Then the tables were all, all of them, were sticky and smelled like mildew. I think they used a nasty dirty rag to try to clean the tables. The food was ok not great but supper expensive. They wanted 15$ for a very small plate of pasta with chicken some basil and some slightly spiced sauce. Also the rice was crunchy and very very under cooked, not light and flufy in any way shape or form. I do not plan to eat here again any time soon, or ever.

Man went here for lunch and the customer service was terrible. Ordered firecracker checkin got bourbon checkin ask manager to correct the order. Manager said it was cooked right. It clearly was not. There was no spice to it at all. Asked her to try it she would not ever try it. Explained its right. Its fine Ill never be back . Made me sound like I did not know what I was eating. If I had never been to one of these ok but I have been and the is my normal order. Store 705 in Carlsbad not good.
