I used to frequent the one in Costa Mesa all the time when I lived there. All I ever order is shrimp fried rice. At that location it has always been really good. Last night I ordered from this location and I couldnt believe how greasy it was. The shrimp didnt seem fresh at all. It was really disgusting. I tried the regular fried rice dish I ordered and it was the same nasty greasy mess. It came in these plastic containers and the bottom of them was just layered in grease. What a waste of money. I ended up throwing out the whole order. Even the 2 egg rolls where greasy and disgusting. Not even edible. I will never again order from this location. And why are they delivering in those awful plastic dishes. What happened to the cardboard little boxes??I never order out and have anything delivered.the one night I decide to treat myself I was so disappointed. And sick!! Never again.. I felt sick to my stomach from 2 bites.

Food is ready on time and the portion is good. My total came in at about $12 so can’t complain much for this value. The store looked clean but nobody was sitting there. Probably it’s bc it’s a better takeout spot, which I did for my first order there. There’s a Chinese restaurant nearby that’s more for a sitting down occasion, but this place has the better price, considering some of the similar offering. Nonetheless, it’s a decent place and an alternative for a quick asian pick-up meals

This was my first visit back in years, so i was craving the orange chicken really bad. When i arrived, the restaurant was empty. No customers, just myself. I greeted the cashier, and she wasnt very friendly. Also, they were out of the orange sauce for the orange chicken, so I ordered the fire cracker chicken, and it wasnt that great there was hardly any chicken it was mostly breading covered in sauce very disappointing I would not recommend it.

Great place for fast casual Chinese food. the service is always very friendly and food is tasty. outside seating area is great when its sunny out.Update 5/23/2021 : the outdoor seating has turned into a homeless hotel with needle casings, trash and cardboard beds left for diners to contend with. Please clean this up as the stench of urine makes this once nice spot unbearable.

This is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed in a pick up Stix location. The house special chicken was dry and over cooked. The white rice was a little burnt and even the fortune cookie was stale. Come on guys.

They always have great food and their service in store is always good. However, if you order through GrubHub or Doordash, they always seem to never fulfill the requests for utensils, plates, napkins, soy sauce, and fortune cookies. You may get some of it or nothing. Its as if they didnt bother reading your request for those items. Plus, they used to have available fountain drinks and now its only water thats on their menu. I say have someone at home pick up your order if you just need to have the basic utensils.

The reopening has left them lacking, I will give them another chance because the food is amazing and Ive loved Pick Up Stix for over 30 years.I am intolerant of the app and new systems. Signs up everywhere, app & online orders only. So I want time setting up the app and planning an online order for as soon as possible. After the order went through, it tells me my pick up time was 45 minutes out. Not happy.Them while Im waiting, 45 minutes, other people come in, order at the counter, pay, get their order and leave, while Im still standing there waiting. Not happy.I am disinclined to order from home or something, them drive the 15 minutes to get there, and not knowing before I order what the wait time is. Other restaurants apps tell what the pick-up time is BEFORE one submits their paid order. I most assuredly would not have ordered had I known the wait time..

We have been coming to this Pick Up Stix for years. They have consistently excellent fast Chinese food. They have plenty of clean tables to eat in but we always use take out. Our order is usually being finished by the time I arrive. It hot, fresh and delicious!

I love that the food is fresh made when ordered and tastes like it too! So many choices and excellent variety.I love using the online ordering where I can customize my order and then pay for it and walking in to pick it up. It really streamlines the process and when life is busy and hectic as it often can be.

Good food but food is a bit pricey. The food is made to order and is higher quality than panda express but it is also more expensive. The location is nice. Usually clean but they need more trash cans. They only have one trash can for the entire store. Staff is awesome nice and friendly. They might need a few more people cleaning tables during peak times but over all very nice place.

I don’t recommend this restaurant at all; Unless you purposely want to have a horrible experience. The following paragraphs meticulously explains my horrible experience.My girlfriend and I rented a hotel room after celebrating my birthday on October 23, 2020. We had an exciting evening with family at a great venue. We traveled over 20 miles to celebrate with my family in the City of Orange. After the birthday celebration we rented a hotel room in the City of Fullerton. The following morning we enjoyed breakfast near the hotel. We then returned to our room for rest from the previous night. Now for the horrible part of my birthday experience.On October 24, 2020 at 4:45 PM; My girlfriend and I ordered food from Pick Up Stix in the City of Placentia. The food would be delivered to our hotel room door. I asked my girlfriend to stay in the room and wait for our order to be delivered. I went to a local store for some items we needed for the evening. When I returned to the hotel room, the food was ready on the table. My girlfriend said in delight, “ honey dinner is served”. I replied “Mmmm I’m starving “. We sat down to eat. I placed a napkin on my girlfriend’s lap and sat down.Here’s why I had a horrible experience with Pick Up Stix. They failed to include plastic ware and napkins with our order, the food taste the way way wet cat food smells, the food was cold, the rice and chow mein was dry and hard, the shrimp taste expired, the chicken was hard and taste old, the spring rolls were practically empty. This isn’t the worst part.I gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. When I called the restaurant for an explanation, they placed me on hold. The employee said she would only place me on hold for a second. 7 minutes later I hung up and called back. Only to be placed on hold again. I was told by an employee that I was on hold waiting to speak with the manager. After calling again, I was told by a different employee, that there was not a manager on shift at that time. The previous employee had lied to me.I finally got a hold of someone. I was told by an employee, who refused to give their name, that their policy specifically required them not to pack forks or napkins. “Incredulous” I replied. “How am I supposed to eat my food”? I asked. “That’s not our problem. Use forks and napkins from your house” she replied. “I’m at the hotel you guys delivered the food to. I didn’t bring forks and napkins with me” I replied. When I asked the restaurant employee how I was supposed to eat my food with out a fork or spoon or chop Stix. She told me to use my hands.I had to drive, a round trip of 6 miles, to the restaurant that delivered our food to us just to get forks and napkins. Worst experience ever.

Horrible customer service I called the manager and told them online they’re offering a combination plate white rice with meat But when I receive the meal I got it in two different boxes rice and one box meat and one box no silverware and nothing to eat it with and I’m in a hotel this is how they delivered to our hotel when I called about it they said they couldn’t do nothing about it that’s how they serve their food and take it up with Corporate office. So the manager basically said the corporate office sets up the menu so it’s their fault very unprofessional I would never eat at this place again when I recommend anybody in a hotel order from here

I would provide it no stars if possible. I waited approximately 30 minutes for my order. I asked if there was a reason it was taking so long, theres one cook Theres only 3 customers in the restaurant I thought to myself. No apology or sorry for the wait. Nothing as I finally received my order as well. The customer service is on par with a kiosk, they did nothing.

My fave fast food chinese. Meat to veggie proportion is better than the other chain.I wish they still had the yummy hot mustard they used to make, instead of the packaged one. Otherwise all is good. Ask for crunchy noodles and potsticker sauce.

I would actually rate it less than 1 if available. I ordered Chicken Chow Mein. The noodles were dry and mushy with a weird flavor. The chicken they threw in was a lot to be desired. Very little vegetables . Actually it looked like I ordered a dish of noodles only.

The description says it all. American Chinese food. I come at least once a week for lunch or dinner. The dinners are big enough for two people, the food is consistent and always cooked fresh. Its a step above other Chinese places that have your food precooked and sitting in warmers for who knows how long.

Its my first time visiting the place, I really liked the food, I ordered a kung pau shrimp whit rice, I recommend it 👌what didnt make me feel happy in the place was the customer service of the person who served me, she was very rude when I placed my food order, the entire time her face had an angry expression, she was never friendly, it seemed like she was very upset, however when I finished taking my order she turned to one of her coworkers and she started to laugh loudly, with him she was very friendly and seemed very happy, which surprised me with her change of attitude so quickly, I was watching her and with each of the clients she was very rude, not a good attitude, no smiles or kindness, but with her coworkers she was incredibly friendly and smiling, her name is Estela. I do want to eat there again, however I hope not to be served by her again.
