Quan Ngon Nha Trang Restaurant in San Gabriel

Not your typical Vietnamese restaurant. I typically order the vermicelli, grilled pork and imperial roll dish. They didn’t offer this here. Instead they had sautéed beef with onions over the vermicelli and only 1 imperial roll. The beef was really good but in this combination I’m so used to and prefer the grilled pork.Not an extensive menu. In fact quite a limited set of options so if you may not find what you’re looking for.

Bought from doordash! (They put the drinks in a bag, the cup holder was from my mother). My mother ordered bun bo hue because she wanted to eat it for her birthday, very good! Hardly any decent ones around here. They even had banana blossoms which I really liked, and the blood curd is super well made.I got the passion fruit tea, and my brother the thai tea, both super good.

I hate it when my friends introduce me to great places after knowing them for years! What an unbelievable spot! They are known for their spicy beef soup (Bun Bo) with noodles and I know why! Fantastic food. Phenomenal service. Will definitely come back!

Nha Trang, a Vietnamese coastal city in Southern Vietnam, is known for its good foods. When we visited there a few years ago, we had a feast with many varieties of delicious food.The local food cuisine offers several varieties of noodles. One of our favorites was Bun Bo Hue, a Spicy beef noodle soup with Thick rice noodle, beef slices, pork trotter and pork blood cubes in complex lemongrass broth. The soup is amazing but I don’t care for the pork blood. Many people come to eat at this restaurant mainly for this dish.Besides this popular dish, the restaurant offers a very simple menu with less than 10 items and some drink varieties. Another one we like here is the Bun salad with grilled beef. Very tasty Beef.It’s a family run business, so the service was quiet folksy. They are very friendly and efficient. We didn’t have to wait for long for our food.

They put stickers on the price on the menu. So you dont know how much. There are literally 3 tiny crab ball in my crab soup. I been to many vietnamese restaurants and they will give big crab balls, after all this dish is all about that. Soup was very watery. Two flies wouldnt leave us alone.The waitress were nice. Customers service was nice. I wouldnt go bk again.

The menu is simple (posted on the wall) but the food is exceptional. They sure have a focus : prepare their food right.The restaurant is tiny. They have to offer outdoor seating which is really nice.

The food aint bad. but the service and attitude was horrible. Even during this pandemic, Im surprised they are so lack of customer focus.Ive order the crab noodle with tomato soup. Its not bad. But the flavor seems a little bland.My wife ordered the chicken pho. The chicken was good quality and you can taste the rich chicken flavor.Ice coffee was good. I had them before. This time I was buying it for the trip back. I didnt even drink it to save it for later. However, I forgot to take it when we leave. I found out after 3 minutes, so I turned back trying to get it and the lady owner said she threw it away because she didnt know if Im coming back. I was upset of course because I havent even put a straw in the cup and how hard it is to put it aside for a few more minutes? I literally was 20 ft away talking to my wife and she didnt even bother to call me to pick up the coffee. As seen of photo, its untouched coffee.So the arrogant attitude and lack of customer service will make me go support other business who will deserve my business than someone who simple not care about their customers.

Soup was good but would like some more meat. The bood was clean tasting though!
