The chicken ramen was very delicious with fresh ingredients. The staff was very polite, friendly, accommodating and prompt. Place was clean and and quiet.

I received cold veggies and dry pork dumped on top of fresh noodles. The tonkatsu ramen was bland and watery and every bite reminded me that most of these ingredients were just dumped out of a fridge. I make better ramen at home. Ive been to other locations and had great ramen so Im not sure where this one went wrong. I recommend avoiding this location.

Food was really good but the lady who was there in the evening was not friendly and lacks customer service for that reason alone not sure if I would be visiting again.

The tonkotsu ramen was bland. It was warm bath water with cold ingredients put in. The crab rangoon was pretty tasty, i will give them that. The ordertaker seemed confused and disorientated during the order taking process. He was also confused on a bowl to use for sweet and sour sauce dipping. So i got a huge take home bowl for a dipping bowl. But he was confident and sure of himself to let us know they close in 5 minutes, with 10 minutes left of operating store hours. Over all just an aweful place to enjoy food. This place is a money grab with 15.00 bowls of shower water. Save yourself money and just get the 1.00 packages at walmart.

We stumbled upon this nice little place while visiting Emeryville California near Oakland and San Francisco. Great food and very friendly staff.Word has it that Benny the owner had a long time vision to become successful and create a business from scratch.I believe his vision was accomplished... come check it out when in town. GREAT JOB Benny👍🏼😉Ramen 101 is located in Northern California.

A quick plate that tastes good. Service and atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. Comes with broccoli, cabbage, 2 scoops rice and scoop macaroni salad. I think more protein per serving than burrito places. Good job!

This place is diner/comfort vibe but really big portions and quality tastiness. There’s a ramen place that just opened at Emeryville plaza charging $17 for ramen. Ramen 101 food tastes better.

This is a decent bowl of tonkatsu ramen. I like when my leftover ramen broth congeals in the fridge—a good sign of rich broth. My girls like to get the spam musubi. This place has negative ambiance though, and is in a moderately depressing location in a parking lot on a major street and they use too many disposable utensils for dining in.

This place has great food but their customer service sucks. I think the parents own it and there kids work it for them. The two young men that work the counter rude, lazy, and just seem like they dont want to be there. I give them many chances because the Katsu Chicken is great. But customer service is so bad I just cant do it anymore.

I always enjoy to the Tonkotsu at 101. Theyre fast and tasty.Theyve been out of stock on bamboo for a very long time now though which is disappointing.On the other hand theyre the only ramen place I know of that gives you whole kikurage mushrooms which are WAY better than the shredded (and often dry/hard) kikurage that every other spot has given me.

The beef here has my partner coming back time and time again. I think last time they mentioned something about not being able to get double rice, wouldn’t know don’t eat the stuff, but my partner seemed upset.

Cashier named Eric needs to be retrained for his job. He lacks professionalism and good customer skills. He made us wait almost 5 min to take the order because he was too busy on the phone. After placing an order as I was approaching the fountain to get my drinks he yelled very loudly Dont get the drinks yourself, its my job to get you drinks which I found very rude and disrespectful. I know we are during COVID 19 pandemic, but that doesnt give you the permission to yell at your customer. if you are that concerned about your safety or costumes safety due to COVID-19 then why dont you have a written Note on the fountain. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone until the owner gives this rude cashier the kitchen duties.

Good portions, broth is very tastey and the medium spicy is perfect . Not so spicy your nose runs but spicy enough to remind you what you ate 15 min later . only complaint would be they didnt offer baby bok choy as an add on . Overall very pleased and will come back. Only other place to come close to good ramen Ive tried has been in chicago believe it or not. My co worker got the katsu plate which you cant go wrong with but he said his chicken was too hard and too crispy and wanted a refund . Looked fine to me .

I got the black garlic ramen and dined in. First the atmosphere inside is very pleasant, clean and full of energy (and decent music). The ordering process was nice, no hassle at all. The food came out super fast, hot and fresh. The presentation of the ramen was great, beautifully put together with all the toppers laid out (especially with whole things of black garlic). I wouldnt say it was the best ramen Ive had BUT its definitely above the average you can get in emeryville. If you have a craving and a quick solve for it, this is the perfect place.

Good food, nice service. The guy taking orders this afternoon was nice enough to patiently help an old man figure out his order. My Dad struggles like that too sometimes so that was nice to see.

Ive been waiting for this place to open since August, noticed they were finally open during my trip to PaknSave, and they had a BOGO deal for Dec 1, so tried the classic tonkotsu ramen and a chicken ramen. The ramen was pretty good, the portion was well sized and the pricing is very good for want you get. As a ramen shop the selection is pretty similar to the basic ramen shops around the east bay, except for the fact that they also sell hawaiian food. Its not a high end specialty ramen shop like Yuzu ramen or Shiba Ramen, but I would probably recommend this place over those on account of the overall price per quality/quantity. A good mid-teir ramen shop. Plus they have a small outdoor patio space with a few tables so you can eat outside.

Cashier wasn’t friendly, I left a tip and he didn’t even say thank you. Witness the same cashier be nice and friendly to other people but was very unfriendly and unwelcoming to me.

Restaurant left a flyer on my car windshield. Now I have an imprint of the flyer on my windshield that won’t come off. Tried to call them so they could fix the situation, employee was really rude and unhelpful.
