2024-06-07 13:33:33Ramen Akimoto in Yorba Linda is a hidden gem! The ambiance is authentic, with great music setting the mood. Despite being packed, the service was friendly. I highly recommend trying their Gyoza dumplings; they’re the best! A must-visit spot for ramen enthusiasts.

2024-02-20 06:49:24Cute little Ramen shop with polite staff. The Ramen was great! The seasoned egg was a masterpiece. Broth was so flavorful and the noodles were the perfect meaty texture. I went there on a date night with my wife and the experience was terrific. We will bring our whole family back soon!

2024-05-14 05:39:13Pictured are the Tsukemen and the Jiro Ramen..I think I found my new favorite tsukemen place in SoCal. They have proper thicc and bouncy tsuke noodles to go with a fish forward soup. If you dont like fish, I believe you can opt out of the fish power too. I recommend having the noodles cold so it doesnt continue cooking while waiting for you to dip it into the broth. They also have soup wari so you can dilute the broth to make it more drinkable after you are finished with your noodles. Highly recommend this ramen shop!Akimoto-san trained under the legendary Kazuo Yamagishi at Taishoken in Higashi-Ikebukuro. Ill be back to try the Monday only Jiro-style bowl 🫡Updated May 2024:I came back to try their Jiro. My order was ninniku/garlic, abura mashi/more back fat, and karame/extra seasoning sauce. I love the texture of the noodles here. Iirc they said that the Jiro noodles were custom made by Myojo. Overall, this was another great bowl 👍(psst ig @schw3i for my ramen log)

2024-03-18 22:17:07Nice and clean restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised to find a place that does jiro ramen here. Looks like they currently sell jiro ramen only on Monday and other days are their normal menu. The noodles and soup were very good. The noodles were perfectly al dente with the right amount of chew. The soup was flavorful and normal was just the right amount of salt for me. It was nice that we could customize our bowl’s size, amount of veggies, and amount of flavor (I assumed that meant amount of tare). My main complaint is with the chashu. It was cold when it came out. Perhaps it could be more thoroughly warmed before getting added to the bowl. The texture was also dry and stringy. The wood ear mushroom also seemed a bit out of place. It didn’t seem to add anything to the dish, was cold, and also didn’t carry the soup flavor very well.Given how good the noodles and soup were though, we would definitely come back to try their other bowls.

2024-04-26 18:32:10Delicious ramen in a cozy spot. Excellent service and reasonable prices as well.I definitely recommend getting the Kariage curry for an extra $3.50 on the lunch special, but be warned, it’s a ton of food.

2024-05-25 22:37:32I got the spicy paitan, Delicious broth.I like the tamago in my ramen and i think the jammy, runny egg yolk completes the mouthfeel of the broth and noodles.I even got the spicy chicken Karage which was juicy and delicious, but i could not finish it because the ramen is quite satiating.Highlight of the day was the super friendly and accommodating staff and chef. This is going to be my regular ramen place.

2024-04-13 20:03:50Excellent ramen, great price, a must visit! My wife and I seek out ramen spots and this one does not disappoint. The chicken broth is a rich and flavorful. The noodles have the perfect chew and have their own mild wheat flavor. The pork chashu was tender and juicy. We also got the spicy chicken karage which was mildly spicy but had a wonderful mild, salty, sweet flavor with juicy boneless meat. The whole meal was wonderful and left us feeling full and very satisfied. We will definitely be back to try their other options which sounds great as well. I would say the best ramen I know of this side of the 91. If I want good ramen like this I usually have to head down the 55 20+ mins. A must try!

2024-03-30 01:52:59I never want to sound xenophobic but my test of an ethnic restaurant is how many from the country show up to eat. By noon the place was packed and we were the only roundeyes in the place. This place is heads and above every other Ramen place I have ever tried. The flavors are beautiful. The Baystock comes from chicken rather than pork, and as much as I like pork the chicken taste better in the background the flavored egg is perfect as is everything else. You are making a mistake if you don’t try this place out.

2024-02-20 02:23:42My boyfriend and I went here for a late Valentine’s Day dinner because I am a huge ramen fan. I was so excited to try this place as I pass it every day on my way home from work and it’s a brand new hole in the wall restaurant! The staff is very sweet and you can tell that they care a lot about the customers and their experience. The menu was a bit confusing, but the food was very very good! Perfect for the cold rainy day we had. The only reason I gave a 4 star review for the atmosphere is because this was their second day of being open and you can tell that they’re still in the process of adding decor and ambience. Otherwise a great experience overall and will recommend to friends! :)

2024-06-13 17:23:35Best ramen in Yorba Linda!! The ramen noodle was so good and has a chewy texture to it, not mushy at all. The broth was chicken stock based so not overly fatty like traditional ramen broth, I like it.
