This is a must-visit every time I am in town. I go for the dry Doodee noodles and broccoli with crispy pork. Thai spicy.
Authentic Thai food with lots of spice. Not to the level of my Hollywood favorites but pretty impressed. Need to try more of the menu. Spicy level here is impressive.
Fresh and tasty noodles. Servers were nice. That said, the food was good, but nothing outstanding. I think I was expecting more.
Well Im back again eating at this restaurant. I think its been at least 5 years since Ive been here. Ive been coming here year 2000, and its always been good the owner is nice and friendly and the staff also. The food is consistent always good and clean. So if youre not been here I suggest you try it and you will like it. Thank you and have a great day.
As it’s name would suggest, you can’t go wrong with their noodle soups. When ordering noodle soup, you get to choose what kind of noodles (egg, flat, pho or thin). You’ll then choose your spice level. This place is authentic Thai so be careful when you ask for something spicy.Aside from noodle soups, a few of my favorites are your basic Pad See Eaw and Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles). And you can’t forget the Longan Juice and Mango with Sticky Rice! 😋It’s a small place and can get packed during the lunch hour. Luckily, the food is prepared fresh and super fast.

I can’t express how special this little hole in the wall is. We stumbled upon it after the birth of my second child at Kaiser. Remembering how mediocre the food was with my 1st and the lack of food for my spouse, my husband did a quick google search and picked Ras Noodle from the other 200 Thai restaurants in the area. And boy were we happy. The best coconut soup I’ve had in my life. They use good quality mushrooms and most ingredients are just perfection. Their pad see ew is phenomenal and their grilled pork salad is to die for. We also love Mina’s coconut sticky rice with mango. We now order her cakes for events! What’s the most special thing about this place for me is that both my sons (5 and 2) love it and it actually might be my extended families favorite meal. Whenever we get together and want to order in, we always get Ras Noodle!
Super spicy soup despite ordering medium spice. So be warned. Otherwise food taste great. Id recommend it for homestyle thai cooking
Numerous times I’ve been asking for boat noodle with the medium rare livers but constantly it came out way too well done! Hard enough to chewing up . Those who knows how perfectly cooked livers should have been especially when asked specifically for rare cooked. Finally I had an classic answer after many visits that they made the “pre made already cooked livers” that should have been cooked a day or two before!
I bought sticky and mango for take out with some noodles. The food was ok, but the mango was white in the inside. This place sells it for $12 an order. When I went back I told the owner to tell her supplier that the pe mango was bad and an order is not cheap. The owner said everything is expensive. I agree everything went up, but that doesnt mean that the supplier can pass the bad mango to the consumer. I will not recommend you to buy the mango sticky for to go. Dont you think this reflects the business owner?

We love their food. One of our favorite spots to go to or order pick up. 29. Fresh Chili is my favorite. Along with Pad See Ew with Shrimp. The whole family loves the Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp. Amazing. My Wife’s favorite place for Thai Tea as well. We don’t live close but we always drive out here for pick up and when fully open we will continue to go in for Dine In. Staff is always kind and helpful and makes us feel like we are family. Thank You for the great yummy food and thank you for being open with this craziness going on now. We can’t wait to come back and dine in.
The shop is small and clean, the service is quick, and the people who work here are friendly. I always order #17 and have become a regular here because of how tasty and comforting their food is. The crepe cakes and desserts in the cart next to the register are also delicious.Its best to order ahead for pickup, since the parking lot and the shop itself tend to be crowded.
My wife and I have been coming here for years and its one of our favorite noodle soup spots in all of LA. There are a lot of Thai options in LA but as with everything, they all are not equal. Ras delivers on the authentic noodle soup you would get if you were walking the streets in Bangkok.The staff here are all super nice, service is decent and attentive. If you are looking for authentic hoy ka style noodle soup then Ras is your spot.
I love the Doo Dee noodles with yellow noodle, because the tiny beef ribs are delicious. I order it everytime I have to go to Kaiser for an appointment. Theres a ton of parking in the back. I get No Spice for my son and he loves it.
The food here is very good. They get 4 instead of 5 stars because there are only 3 vegetarian dishes. The pad Thai with tofu was excellent! Full of flavor, heavy on the tofu. They close at 9pm and the parking is tight.

The spiciness depends on what you order... we got 3 dishes, all mild. One was truly mild, one was a little spicy and the other would be spicy enough to be considered medium in most other places. If you have 0 tolerance for spicy food this is probably not the place for you.Imo, the food was amazing!
Delicious, but don’t eat in especially when something accidentally comes out unsatisfactory about your order.I would eat from this place with take out often and I would have a usual Southern Thailand Seafood Fried Rice with very low spicy for lunch. It’s delicious and at my tolerance level. But I came in to eat with a friend for dinner and had the usual. It was far too spicy for me this time and I had asked to mild it down. The server was very nice and did well to handle the situation BUT the owner was extremely rude when I had explained, earlier, I ate here often and the mild was what I would get and that it was just today.Before she had taken my plate to mild the spice, she told me she doesn’t even see the chili. I acted reflexively and pointed to the chili with a bewildered look because 1. that was not the issue. I said it was “too spicy,” NOT “there was too much chili.” 2. It could have gone without that comment to a customer.Then when she came out and handed me back my plate with the mild down request done, she threw what I never would I have thought to hear about how a customer orders, “Next time do not order spicy because you cannot eat spicy.”I did not expect to get mistreated in such a way by THE OWNER over a small mishap.

Im a regular at Ras Noodles, kind of hole in the wall, authentic taste, homey feel, good service, and clean! My favorite is Yen Ta Fo - noodles with seafood and fish ball. Fried rice & flat noodles are really good too! They offer different choices of noodles and level of spiciness, I mean real Thai spices is HOT! Parking is at the lot, also the lot behind the building, or on the street. If you like authentic Thai food in the valley, this is it!
The food tastes good not too sweet or spicy. The Thai tea is amazing. They serve you in less then 10 minutes. I have never been to a Thai restaurant before so I have nothing to compare it to.

Coming here is like going to your mom’s or grandmas house for some legit delicious homemade comfort food. You leave this lil restaurant with a full satisfied tummy and knowing you didn’t break the bank eating out. We absolutely love the hardworking staff here and will continue to support Ras Noodle for cooking delicious meals.
I have been going here for a few years. The food is great in price and its proportion. They are known for their soups but, my personal favorite is the basil ground pork 😋. The workers 👩👩👧 are very kind and always greet me/remember me.
This is probably where Thai really people go. 100% authentic boat noodle soups. And the crispy pork with seasoning and garlic will cure any cold lol. But I suggest for first timers the roast duck noodle soup and a fresh fruit cream and mango cake to finish off. And the fact they you will be served within 10 minutes make it perfect for lunch. The atmosphere is clean and casual. This is my Thai comfort food not really for vegetarian minded person but every once an awhile its ok to break the rules.

Everything is still the same as when it was Ord Noodle. Just the name has changed to Ras and Yelp has finally updated it. Its as authentic as you can get in the valley for Thai food. I come here all the time when Im craving some of the food my mom used to make and I cant replicate. So I definitely recommend it to anyone that is curious about Thai food.
WARNING: the medium spice level here tends to be more on the HOT side — but in a good way — youve been forewarned. Youre welcome. 🙃 The portions at Ras are on the smaller side than most, but they still pack big flavor. Two of my go-to menu options are both the Brocolli and Crispy Pork (dont forget the fried egg, now) and (Dry) Tom Yum Noodles. Medium spicy, por favor! 😉
Cant say enough about this place. Ras noodle has been a staple for many years for me and my family.Be sure to get the number 1 or 2, pho noodle, mild spiciness. Be aware that this places definition of spicy far exceeds any other place one might be used to. I could have sworn the ceiling was leaking but it was only me sweating.Also of note are the grilled pork salad [moo nam thok] also the pad thai has shareable portions. Order the noodle bowls small so you can try more than one type.Parking gets kinda tight but you can always park down the street. I usually take a tin of their 6 dollar cookies home and their crepe cakes are AMAZING.I dare say that this place is even better than the noodles served in Thailand off the actual boats, and Ive tried both.Your stomach will thank you.

Basil over rice dish shows a fried egg in the menu and on the wall. But doesnt come with one. Apparently its EXTRA. No where on the menu says add fried egg for $x. Disappointing.
If you love the hole in the wall kind of vibe, noodles soup, and authentic Thai food you must come here. Get the Doo Dee noodles. So good!!! Id love to visit again and try out their other stuff.

2023-09-10 13:04:37We ordered 4 items and one dessert. The seafood items ( glass noodles shrimp salad, and basil shrimp with rice) were very tasty. So tasty, we will go back for more one of these fine days. The service wasnt that wonderful; the woman was a bit abrupt but after tasting the food, we decided we can put up with the attitude as the food tasted that good. My daughter says the dessert was delicious!Hoping the food quality remains, will update next time.

2023-05-20 21:55:06Ordered a small Thai Boat. Finished it in 3/4 bites for reference. For $8 Id say thats about fair considering how expensive food is getting. It was delicious. Will definitely get a large next time. My husband got a large and finished it in about 7/8 bites too, but for $10.50 it was reasonable also .

2020-02-29 03:36:39A culinary journey. Ordered the number 5. I was forewarned that when the waiter asks how spicy, always say mild if you can’t handle heat. Glad I did. Everything about the soup was perfection. Ordered a Mango cake for dessert and was blown away again. Small portion is perfect but I will order a large next time so I can enjoy more of the taste. Weve recently discovered their Larb, too - delish!Tonight the hubby had the Duck Noodles and I had the Tom Kha Gai Seafood! Couldnt help but get the same thing because the broth of the Tom Kha Gai had the perfect creamy and sour broth with the right amount of heat! I usually get the mild because thats enough heat! Again, my soup was LOADED with fish, shrimp, mushrooms, mussels, squid and tripe. Everything about this soup is comforting. I KNOW I will still be here in the summer ordering this dish!My husband had the Duck Noodles. I cant even describe the broth to you because it was also delicious! The consistency was like a light gravy with hints of anise and five spice, possibly?!! It, too was loaded with roasted, tender duck. I cant believe how good it was. The husband said he doesnt know what hes gonna do now because hes hooked on the broth!Before we left, we noticed they had the Mango Sticky Rice in stock! We doubled up on our order! The insane thing is, we saw them stock up on it and within the hour, the stock disappeared. Even with take away orders, people called in and were ordering the Mango Sticky Rice in bulk. We wanted our share because we noticed within the last two weeks, you cant get Mango Sticky Rice anywhere. You really have to look because the dessert takes about a day to prep and another day to cook it, if its really authentic. Their portion of this dessert was HUGE! They even present it beautifully that you dont want to eat it! The mango was perfectly ripe! I cant stand getting mangos and theyre not ripe - it ruins the dessert completely. I wanted to dig into them on the ride home! You can SMELL the sticky rice when you open the bag! Dont be a B and do yourself a favor and get more than one - youll thank me later, I promise. The stickiness in the rice was PERFECT! How? Ive tried this at home and failed miserably! The dipping sauce balances out the sweetness so much that youll wish you had two containers of it!If youre looking for authentic, this is the place to be. One word: proper. Its proper when you see the elders from Thailand dining there each time you visit. Its legit, we promise! 2020-08-26 01:46:21A great hidden noodle spot when youre craving it. This is a Thai restaurant so they do their noodles different from other places. My parents like their duck noodles while I prefer the boat noodle. I also tried their fried meatball before and their sweet&sour sauce is soo good. Their parking lot in the front is very compact and limited but they have more parking in the back.

2019-03-03 19:56:44Really enjoyed out visit yesterday. Everything came out quickly and tasted really good. Soup was nice and spicy just like I wanted it and the broth was clear and not fatty at all. I will be back to go down their list of soups. The staff was very polite and friendly and they came to check on us several time. When we were done eating, there was no rush to get us out. I was able to enjoy my dinner and have some family time while the food went down. They have four different type of noodles so you can essentially have different variations of the same dish.
