A couple of friends and I decided to get some dinner at about 6:30pm on 8/12/23, and this place was definitely the spot. Ordering was super easy with a QR code on the tables, also the ability to pay immediately and leave a tip without having to hand over your card.This was exactly the experience we were hoping for, choosing to sit outside, we grabbed a few waters and our other drinks came out pretty dang quick. Previously wrote a review and it was an error with my phone I think. Me and my friend came here for lunch and the food was great! I had the cream cheese and avocado rolls and she had the spicy noodles and they were both so yummy. I also had a Thai iced tea and it was one of the best I had. We will definitely be going back.

The quality changed. First, the containers are terrible they fall apart and bust open during delivery or pickup. Whoever was making the food before was killing it but now, it’s not that good. The chicken soup tastes like dish water and I used to crave it and order it on the regular. 😭 even the mango and rice dessert is gone. I wonder what happened. ALSO THE PINEAPPLE DRINK is nothing but ice and pineapple flavored water. I’m so sad I loved this place.

Pretty nice ramen place in the middle of downtown Davis! They have outdoor seating in the middle of a blocked off street! Orders are placed through the counter and delivered through a number! Theyre very pet friendly and they even bring out doggy water bowls!

This place is surprisingly so good. I went by this place a few times (its next to the new tiki bar), and I made an assumption that it wouldnt be very good just because the outside looks a bit old and dated, and I thought it was more of a bar, but its actually more like a pub with super chill vibes, good foods and great drinks. Also, that miso ramen pasta had no business being as good as it was. The portions are generous too so we took some to go and the dishes reheated really well. I wish I could remember the names of the two guys who were waiting/hosting, they were super nice and one was really funny.

Not much of the Thai food fan and thats not the only reason why Im giving it a four star. My meal included noodles and they were stuck or clumped together. I had to eat around the middle. It was a busy night like usual but please give it a shot and dont let my four stars concern you. It just was an experience that I had.

1. During the order screen I adjusted the tip value then added my credit card information. After being prompted to log in to save card information, the tip bar was set to the max of 40%, which I didnt notice until the receipt came up on the next screen. That cant be legal.2. I ordered Birria Noodz. Birria and soup was decent. Noodles were instant ramen. Very disappointing.3. My friend ordered fried rice and it took 40 minutes on a weekday night that was not busy at all!On top of that, there were additional minor complaints such as the restroom being closed and no water served until asking (and no self serve) when its 100 outside.Worst dining experience Ive had in at least a decade.

RACIST RESTAURANT!I came to this restaurant as a tourist on picnic day absolutely 100% sober just trying to join my family for a drink. I tried to order a drink with a Mexican government issued passport and they denied it because it was from Mexico. They asked me for a California only issued ID. I didn’t have one and the person behind me used a United Kingdom ID and was let in. Absolutely disgusting of a place. When I let security know I was recording the conversation, he told me I couldn’t record, but I let him know i was in public sidewalk and not in public property and he had no right to tell me what I could and couldn’t record in public space. DONT COME HERE.

Not sure how to describe their menu. Sort of a fusion Thai thing going on. They have these bomb shredded pork fries called drunken pig fries. Def worth getting to share as an appetizer. Their curry rice is also great.Its a small place with indoor and now outdoor seating. They added a patio for covid seating and it looks like theyll get to keep it. This section of G street is shut down so youll have to park a block or further away and walk in. The whole area is very lively in the evenings.

Amazing fried rice!! We got it with shrimp as well and they didn’t skimp on it. We had to buy another serving to take home. We went on St. Patrick’s and they had this special drink that was delicious too! We were able to sit inside and the staff was so kind and attentive. Prices are good value. Got pretty busy, you can tell they’re a David favorite (:

I dont know about the noodle but dont order the fried rice. The rice is all lumped together and is flavorless. Im surprised that they have the confidence to charge $15 for this. The cook must have no idea what fried rice should look and taste like. Its way below my previous lowest expectation of how bad fried rice can ever be. Its so bad that I want Uncle Roger to review it. I never knew that I would get angry over some fried rice but here I am.The $8 fried rice across the street at Open Rice Kitchen is easily 10x better. Even I can cook 5x better. A $5 frozen pack of fried rice from Safeway or Trader Joes is at least 2x better. Save yourself $15 for something else, or at least avoid the fried rice for Gods sake.

They requure an ID to dine there both indoor and outdoor so be prepared. The food is very tasty so you cant go wrong with any items on their menu. The fried rice plates are the best. Took off a star because they gave us a hard time for not having an ID and the wait time is very long. Ours took 45 minutes.

Superb!!We were in town visiting and wanted noodles. This restaurant was spot on. First started when ordering, beer machine wasn’t cooperating but cashier took the time to change it out to give a perfect beer instead of just giving me whatever came out. 3 stars just for that. We had vegan noodles and spicy bbq pork noodles just to try a variety. Both were spectacular. Wonderful patio safe Covid protocols... perfect. We will be back for sure!!

Delicious food and decent prices. It is a bar/pub setting, so dont come looking for a quiet night out, but its definitely a good place to have a few drinks and enjoy a variety of foods.Friendly staff and good service.I had the duck soup, which was rich and delicious, and quite filling. We ordered vegetables pad Thai, basil fried rice after checking with them many times if it would have meat or fish sauce/stock. The fried rice was smelling and tasting like meat/fish. I have had basil fried rice many times and it never smells or tastes like this. It was horrible. We gave it back and ordered for pad Thai but they wouldn’t give refund for the rice and they kept arguing that nothing was wrong. The veg pad Thai was good so am not sure why they couldn’t know the diff in ingredients that caused the meat/fish smell and taste.

One of THE best fried rice Ive ever had! Super flavorful rice with a fried egg, I chose BBQ pork but they have a bunch of other meat options to add. Its own talking point: bottomless thai iced tea! Super clean floors/tables and friendly/quick service. Amazing little chili sampler they bring out to the table with your food and all utensils already in the tin on the table. Okay, every time we order food from here, be it in house or to go, it’s delicious, and we’ve never had a problem. However, the to go drinks are veeeery weak. My boyfriend ordered the margarita slushy pitcher, and he’s a big guy with a high tolerance, so of course it’s not going to do a whole lot, but I couldn’t even taste the tequila when I sipped it. Tonight I got a Rocket Pop and the taste was great, but I barely got buzzed. It was a pretty big drink and I’m about 123 lbs. It was about $30 for our 2 drinks tonight, please make it worth it!!

Have you ever had a beer tower before? If not, get a group of friends and order one. Its a fun experience to not need to order the individual drinks and its an accomplishment to finish it off and its honestly priced quite well. Red 88 is a good place for some good Thai food, the atmosphere is nice and cozy. The service could be better, more prompt, but the waiters are always nice and attentive. The prices are good and the selection of dishes is good too. The food is tasty although it could be less greasy, thats my only complaint. The appetizers are delicious. Even though this is not my favorite Thai food restaurant it is still a good restaurant nevertheless. Check it out if you havent. Its definitely a thumbs up!

I have been very disappointed with my last few visits in this location. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants for years. I would come 3-4 times a week. Last time I came in I was informed that the special I received through email for the special Monday red 88 deal was for dine in only. No where does it state that in the email and I didn’t find out until I drove all the way over there. Then you have changed your stamp card process several times from the cards to the phone number to a credit card now. What if I don’t pay with that credit card every time I come to the restaurant. The waitress didn’t seem to care about any of my concerns and brushed it off as no big deal and it’s not my problem. I haven’t been back since.

It’s 5:26 and have still not received food.Some guy accidentally got my order and they just handed me the food he took home. Who knows if this guy ate some of it or if he did something to it. Not very good (these trendy pan-asian places usually arent). I ordered a Thai bbq-pork dish, which was literally some chewy pork, white rice, and a dish of sweet chili sauce (the kind you buy at the store) -thats it. Jenky. My friend had the shrimp wonton soup, she wasnt very happy with it, and in the end only located 1 shrimp in the whole thing. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area, so I guess thats why this place was nearly empty on a busy lunch hour. We also passed on the frequent diner punch card, not coming back here.
