Decently priced and a good Vietnamese restaurant in Concord. Their banh mi are tasty, the bread could be a little softer. I tend to get their bun rieu and occasionally beef pho.
Great banh mi sandwiches at reasonable prices. Typical Vietnamese fare, with some unique dishes too. Service is prompt and friendly, ambiance is contemporary, inviting and tasteful. While there is another popular Vietnamese restaurant at this shopping mall, Saigon Bistro is a great place to dine if you want quiet setting to discuss business or have a nice conversation.
I have been to this place on a monthly basis at least for over 8 years and have not had the same experience anywhere else. Their beef pho soup bowls are my familys favorite, i brought my daughter from age 4-11 and she recently visit this place as teenager and send me a picture.I teared up because Ive had a lot of emotional bowls comforting me in my struggle years with school and work as young mother. Some of our best times on the weekends were in here enjoying a bowl of soup. This place is dear and near to my heart. In 9 years living in Concord and around the area, Ive never had a bad experience. Thank you very much!

A friend of mine referred me to this restaurant in Concord. I am a Pleasanton resident and my wife and I decided to give it a try. We both had the noodles with shrimp and egg rolls. We also ordered the buttery calamari as an appetizer. The food was very flavorful, the service was great and we had a delight-full dining experience. Well worth the drive! Next time we will try other entries, the food portions are very generous; we brought some home and enjoyed it as a late snack. The quality of food vs the $$$ is absolutely phenomenal.

Been a Pho connoisseur since the days it landed in Bay Area last 20 years.Ive been to a number of places in San Jose, SF & SSF, Oakland, etc.But this is by far best place for taste, texture, quantity, through different owners of Saigon Bistro.

Went here for lunch on a recc from a co-worker. Was not disappointed at all! We were greeted and seated right away. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi and a thai iced tea both were great! Good bread, fresh veggies, and flavorful pork. Thai ice tea really hit the spot too. My co-worker got a banh mi as well along with a spicy pho - He let me try some of his pho, good portion and flavor and they had all the sauces at the table. It’s definitely a great lunch spot - fair prices, quick service and good food.

Mario is the best. I came from Sacramento and tried many Banh Mi sandwiches form there. By far this is the best. The Bread, the Meat, the Picked vegetables are fresh. Their BBQ pork is very fragrant with 5spice. I personally choose a BBQ pork with Grilled pork. Its not on the menu but you can just ask. My better part likes the same but with Pate she always happy when I bring it to her even on bad days. My saving grace. Thank you Saigon Bistro you helped me more then you know.
New owners, same banh mi. If youre looking for a simple quick bite to go, this is a good spot for that. Hate to say it but I think nowadays theres two more banh mi spots in this same plaza that may have them beat.
The BBQ pork bahn mi was excellent. I had them add extra meat. It was awesome with the to-go hoisin sauce packet. Ill add a picture when I get another one (soon).The bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Total perfection.

Best fresh Bahn Mi to-go under $8 and I have tried many in the very competitive east bay. Super pleasant staff. Will sit down and try the vietnamese plates and/or pho next time. Easier parking (across from the old Frys) than Kevins Noodles around the corner in the busier area of this emerging ethnic foodie strip mall.
I ordered a grilled pork bahn mi and the bread was so dry that when you bite into it it be ready for an explosion of dust crumbs… I could have salvaged the meat and toppings and used my own bread when I got home but it wasn’t worth it…. If you like bahn mi this is not the place…. 👎🏽👎🏽

Went here, two weeks ago, with 7 friends after a hike together. Very nice staff and great food in a comfortable setting. We had a great time. I had the veggie vermicelli which was good. Nobody had a bad thing to say about their food or the place. The woman who recommended it was Vietnamese and had been here before.
The staff were inviting, friendly and attentive. The food was amazing!!!! I had a large combination pho and it was delicious and the Vietnamese iced coffee equally delicious and strong. We arrived at a great time as it was busy but we did not have to wait for seating, service and food. We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday. We will be back again.
Havent been back here in a long time. Just got some sandwiches to go. They were good but I think best not to order on a Sunday. Roll seemed old and was not crispy like Im used to. Larger than normal sandwiches but a higher price point than what most would expect. Still like the place but it may need some TLC to bring back to when it first opened.
Homey local gem that is great value for money. Ordered take out grilled pork banh mi sandwich for only $8 incl tax and tip. Generously stuffed with lots of marinated grilled pork, pickled veggies, jalapeños and cilantro. Crusty bread. Sandwich including the bun was warm at pick up. Condiments provided were hoisin sauce and siracha. Forgot to take a photo as I ate the delicious sandwich too fast. Efficient and easy service. All this for under $10. Come support this local business!!

Poor customer service. Tried to rip me off when i asked to buy the french bread roll plain (the bread used to make the vietnamese sandwich). The guy thinks I dont know the general price for the bread itself; it usually costs only 50 cent each! The cash register guy try to sell it for $2 each! Avoid this place! Kevins Noodle in that same plaza has more authentic food without trying to rip you off.
This is a deli, not a nice restaurant by any stretch. It is old and grimy. But based on some favorable reviews, I gave it a try.Some of the WORST food I have ever had. The spring rolls were soggy, flavorless, and they dont come with peanut sauce but some kind of watered down fishy tasting soy sauce. I am vegan, so that was got tossed right away. I tried making some of my own peanut sauce to save this, but the gross sogginess could not be improved even by a good flavored sauce.The veggie noodle main dish I got was equally as bad. At least most of it was fresh, but nearly flavorless, the noodles soggy and again, came only with that watery fishy liquid they pass off as a sauce.I have strong feeling about not wasting food but this was so disgusting, I ended up throwing half if it away. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful experience with the BBQ Banh mi and the Vermicelli dishes. The vegetables were crisp and fresh 😋 and the beef perfectly seasoned on the Vermicelli. The flavor of the Banh mi was exceptionally delicious and juicy. My lunch was a sucess because of Saigon Bistro fresh ingredients.
Im not sure, but I think their recipe changed. We always get their fried chicken wings and for some reason its saltier then usual. Their pho was a bit saltier too. Not just once, but so far Evey time we visit. Why do we keep going you may ask? Its the only place close by that doesnt include pork broth to their soup, and they do have other items we like a lot.

Always a good meal. The Vietnamese sandwiches are good, the appetizers are great, and the Pho is awesome. If you are shy and get the plain Jane sliced steak or the every part of the animal except the bones version of the Pho they are equally as tasty. Clean atmosphere. Good lunch spot if you dont have a lot of time, or if you want to sit and take your time. The only thing I could think of that isnt great is the having to get your order to go if you call ahead instead of dine in, but that is probably the most tiny and petty thing I could imagine so it doesnt make it drop a star. The food is the reason to eat somewhere and if you like Pho (and who doesnt) then you are in for a treat.
Some of the best Pho in Concord. Really good place to grab lunch. I like the menu options by far. The broth is always tasty and the egg rolls are a good start. It is not easy to find on the first time visit so look near Starbucks on the walkway to Frys. Not the best place for parties larger than 4 so keep this in mind.
This is my absolute favorite place for vietnamese food. I have been coming here for years (for both dine in and take out) and I have never once been disappointed. Their food is great and so is their wide variety of drinks. I try to always come here every chance I get and introduce people to it who havent been here before.
Dining area not clean. Floors and tables have been sticky every time Ive been here (about a half-dozen visits - usually friends/ coworkers choice to come here). Makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. Food is ok, but not special. I prefer other vietnamese restaurants.

The first time we Dined at Saigon Bistro last Thursday and we found out that the restaurant has new ownership, my wife and I were very pleased with the food and service.
I used to get delicious sandwiches at Poppin fresh but sadly they recently closed. I decided to give Saigon bistros sandwiches a try. I ordered the combo and the pork and they were not good. The bread was somewhat stale and the meat was skimpy and poor quality. The was no pate spread either. I just didnt enjoy either one enough to finish it.
Fantastic restaurant. All dishes are wonderful. They offer stupendous classic Vietnamese dishes including bahn-mi and pho. The bahn-mi is the best in town!! It is also a great deal. The bahn-mi they serve is done in a Vietnamese/french style using pickled ingredients, cucumber, peppers and a perfect French role. The only thing they were missing, for me, was bona but now they have boba too! This place is an excellent restaurant and probably the best Vietnamese in central county.
The food is good here. But the male waiter who usually mans the front door entrance is VERY rude. And if you ask him any question he treat you as if you’re stupid that in itself made me completely stop going to the restaurant.
The price you pay for the portion and quality of food was more than fair. The pho dac biet had that authentic beef broth flavour and makes me salvate every time I think about it.The banh mi came out freshly baked and it was delicious with the bacon roll, pickled veggies, halfway melted butter, pate, cucumbers and cilantro.Try this place out, you wont get it.
Ordered the thai tea and bahn mi sandwhich. Sandwhich was good so was the thai tea my only issue is that my thai tea was all ice. Literally my drink was filled to the top with ice making it seem there is a lot of tea but actually there isnt. I ordered a large to. Very dissatisfied with the drink.
No frills Vietnamese restaurant in a strip mall in Concord. Our large group got seated quickly and enjoyed prompt service although the restaurant was quite busy on a Sunday night.Viet spring rolls, beef pho, vermicelli noodles, banh mi, and rice dishes - the menu offers exactly what you would expect. The food did not disappoint - decent portion size and overall good value.Glad to see this business is around for a while!

I give this place 5 Star, the staff here are super friendly. I will pick chicken pho, pork chop over rice or chicken curry with sweet potato served with scoop of rice. I might go for viet sandwiches too if I were in rush. plenty of parking and disabled accessible too. Frys Electronins is 100 meters away if you are looking around..happy Saigon!
Ok, I eat Pho everywhere and I had the bowl upside done over my head getting every drop of that broth. Truly the star of the show. Its my new go 2 spot for lunch. Ill try other items after I binge on the amazing #32....
This use to be our go to spot for Pho. Recently it seems as they must’ve changed chefs because the food taste different every time. 1 Star for their Pho bowls and 1 star for the good parking availability. Another star for their Bánh mì sandwiches
Ive had the beef pho and the shrimp with rice a few times both have been very tasty. Ive never had to wait long and the servers are friendly. My son loves the slushy drinks with boba

There are lots of good Vietnamese restaurants in the area, some even in the Park N Shop. This one is different, and very good, because they offer a couple of items that you wont find at most Pho restaurants - Bahn Mi sandwiches and crepes. If you havent had their Bahn Mi, make a special trip. You wont be disappointed, and it costs about $5. If they had asked me for $6, I would have paid it.
I went there only once and the food was good. The service was fine enough, but that is an art not easy to master. Free parking helps. Atmosphere fine enough. I will go back again and all writing a more detailed review
Called In a very simple order veggie spring rolls. He repeated to me just a veggie spring rolls?, I said yes. Thank you, in 10 minutes. I get there and when I give him my card, he then tells me my spring rolls arent veggie spring rolls and he says oh no we have pork and everything in them. I said I dont eat meat he said he will give me the one I ordered in 5 minutes.8 minutes later, having call the original order IN because I had to get back to work, I asked him would it be much longer he told me that theyre getting on to it right now. I told him I had to leave I couldnt wait thats why I called in. I said dont charge my card and left. They still did😡.
Place has gone down hill with new ownership. Portions smaller. Order takeout lunch today. The veggies for my pho werr wilted, old and dead. Pho had no onions. Beef stew had 1 in oil slick on it. Almost no slaw on ban mi. If food doesnt improve not.only will this not be our favorite - we wont be back
The food is bland, the meat is average, the sauces are substandard and the prices are too much for what you get. If you do eat here, the spring rolls were okay and they also passed on the sandwich. Barely. Also, the forgot the papaya salad and it was take out.

The food is decent but the service isnt great. Since new ownership it has gone down. Not tipping here. I paid for my food but they didnt doa anything. They just stand by the counter walking around. Not checking in, not refilling water but they made sure to bring the check and didnt even come back for that. Not what it used to be.
Sorry bro but that chicken curry was not good. If Im honest it was the worst curry Ive ever had. Tofu blocks and chicken skin in the curry was a no go from me. The sauce was a loss as well.
The food is delicious and the portions are large and very reasonably priced. I would rate them higher, but the service is slow and once they bring your food they do not come back....at all.

2023-06-21 09:12:52The Mexican waiter was very nice and polite. If youre Vietnamese, then you might frustrated when eating here as I dont think Pho and Bun Bo is authentic. The broth was very bland for Bun Bo and it tasted like they used Pho broth and but some instant Bun Bo flavor to make the dish.We also called deep fried tofu and was really upset about it. They literally took the tofu from the freezer and deep fried it, so it was still COLD when we eat. Worst experience ever. I guess this place doesnt have much customer as they located in the corner, so thats why they gotta freeze things.

Anyway, been doing take out for a while now and ate in for first time in a while. Their teams and boba shakes are good too. My daughter likes the spring rolls and pho. But the best part is the sandwich, the bread is always crunchy and soft, and the veggies full of flavor. Go now.

The portion size was generous and the ingredients were fresh. The presentation was also top notch. 2019-02-08 21:45:15They forgot my husbands soup and then said he didnt order it. The only reason we went there is because Kevins noodle house was closed for Lunar New year. The Avocado shake tasted like sweet cream. On the plus side, the chicken salad appetizer was huge and good. Which was great considering we had to share my small bowl of pho.

2018-02-20 00:50:24A Vietnamese restaurant now not own by Vietnamese. Food is still delicious. The menu is not in Vietnamese.If you love curry, get the Curry Chicken Bowl with rice noodles. Very spicy. Taste even better the next day.Service is a little off. Has a different vibe. No kids menu like before. But they do have high chairs still.
