2023-11-19 05:11:33Weve come here multiple times. Before Covid, the price was very affordable but after Covid, the price has gone up to normal (or a little bit expensive) side. You place order online and theyll bring food over to your table. What we ordered:- Crispy fish with sweet garlic sauce: $18.95 this one goes really well with Pad Thai. The fish is scripy, moist, flaky. Its on the sweet side.- Pad Thai: $15.95 very delicious and generous portion- Pineapple fried rice: $16.95 just okay, dont recommend- Basil fried rice: yummy, flavorful. Preferred this one over pineapple fried rice.Food came pretty quick and service was decent.

2023-12-10 04:57:55Best crab fried rice, full crab flavor but a bit oily. Very good pad see eiw with all noodles nicely coated with sweet sauce. Yellow curry pork had a nice balance of curry spice, coconut cream and sweetness; small portion on protein. Roti Canai was just ok; soggy with oil even though it looks well toasted. Pra Ram chicken had good peanut sauce, sweet and salty combination.

2023-10-27 00:04:37Really wanted to like this place based on great reviews by my friends but the food here was disappointing and I would not come back again. I’ve had a lot of authentic Thai food places both in the bay/SF and abroad and this place doesn’t do Thai food justice. I asked for recommendations from the waitress who only recommended the fried fish and nothing else. I already planned on ordering the spicy fried fish, and additionally chose to order the duck curry and pad kee mao. Unfortunately the fish was nothing special. It had a nice fry but tasted bland. The sauce was also underwhelming, which was a mixture of some chilis and fish sauce, but really felt like I was dipping a bland fried fish in a sad mixture of sauce. 3/5. Disappointing since this is their most “signature” dish. The pad kee mao was alright, being sweet and spicy but tasted average, slightly above average at most. The meat in the duck curry was overcooked, tasted dry and had a strong unusual taste that made it feel like it was old duck. The flavor of the curry itself was fine but was ruined by the meat quality. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this to friends - the food was not authentic nor memorably good, the prices were not cheap, the service wasn’t great, and I think there’s just many other places to spend money at instead.

2023-06-08 03:29:44We visited this Thai restaurant on a Wednesday night and it was a full hours! But the waitress and kitchen worked very efficiently the entire time during our meal!We ordered 10 dishes amount 8 of us. If you ever coming to have a meal, please don’t miss their crispy garlic fish. We ordered three of those and we ate them all!Their curry was delicious, full of the flavors, not spicy, you can taste the coconut and basil, which is the way my wife and I like it!We will be back for sure. The photos of the restaurant are downloaded from their FB page.

2023-08-20 00:01:27Came here for dinner with two of my friends and we ordered two dishes for us that were sufficient, but we werent too hungry anyway. Everything was good, no big issues and I wish I couldve tried more items on the menu. The fried was a little salty to my liking but I loved the pad see ew. The sauce was sweet and I loved the bounce of the noodles. The waitresses were very nice, asking us if everything was okay and offered to take our order even though you could order online through the QR code and pay through there. So if the traditional way is more your style, they still have it. I would come here for lunch with my friends again.

2023-03-06 00:37:04We went on a Saturday evening before 7:30 pm. The place was crowded. Luckily we got a seat in 5-7 minutes. We ordered within 5 minutes of being seated. The wait for food was long( 25-30 minutes) because of the crowd. We ordered Tom Yum Soup, Pad Kee Mao, Thai Green Curry and Thai iced tea. The portions were less. Taste was good. I liked their Iced Tea.

2023-05-19 05:04:54Embarking on a culinary adventure at Sala Thai, a spacious Thai restaurant in Fremont. With ample seating for over 80 guests, it provides an ideal setting for a delightful dining experience. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to discover various options to suit my palate.Kicking off the meal, the Golden Tofu caught my attention. While tofu is still an acquired taste, the standout element was the special peanut sauce that elevated the otherwise mild flavours, adding a delightful twist. The Roti Canai was a culinary delight, boasting a satisfying blend of crispy and chewy textures. The accompanying sauce served as the perfect complement, enhancing the overall flavour profile of the dish. The Thai Iced Tea was visually appealing and offered a refreshing sip, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. On the other hand, Thai Iced Coffee fell short with its bitter notes and unappetizing finish. The Drunken Noodles (PAD KEE MAO) stole the show for the main course. Laden with vibrant veggies and infused with tantalizing Chinese flavours, it presented a harmonious blend that pleased the taste buds. The distinctive spices added depth and character to every bite.Concluding the meal, the Fried Banana with Ice Cream provided a sweet indulgence. The crispy batter-coated banana offered an initial burst of flavour, although it became overwhelming after a few bites. The Sweet Sticky Rice with mango was a satisfying treat, with the fragrant rice perfectly complementing the fruit, though a larger serving of mango would have been preferable.Sala Thai caters to vegetarians with its diverse menu and inviting atmosphere. While some dishes stood out, others had room for improvement. Nonetheless, it is a worthwhile destination for those seeking a taste of Thai cuisine in Fremont.

2023-07-09 22:12:21Its Friday afternoon and we as a family decided to go for lunch here. It was pretty crazy even though we reached around 2 pm. The server seated us with menu cards. We were so hungry that we knew what we wanted hence when the server came to take our order, we ordered drinks, such as Thai ice tea, soda and water. For appetizers we ordered roti canai (parata) and for the main course we ordered Basil fried rice with chicken, Drunken noodles with beef and a panang curry with chicken, we also got brown rice with garlic - something different than my usual coconut rice. Everything was served well on time. We really enjoyed the food, it was delicious except that I didnt like the side rice with garlic that much. After our lunch we ordered dessert, mango with sticky rice and fried banana with ice cream. Since its the season, the mango was so delicious and tasty. Everyone enjoyed the dessert as well. I was coming here after a long time, I think my last visit here was pre -pandemic and I really enjoyed everything about this place. I will definitely recommend this place for good Thai food.

The soups however, were delicious and had amazing sweet/sour flavor. Portions were pretty big so that was niceFood: 7/10Service: 6/10Vibes: 5/10Value: 5/10

2023-08-06 03:42:38Had the pad pad Thai, pineapple rice both veggie and roti canai. Tasted better than before (pre pandemic), seemed less oily. Service was excellent, atmosphere is okay.
