The food here is pretty good but their rolls are kind of small. Even though they have a happy hour in the evenings the prices are still pretty high. The real reason they only get 3/5 is the service. The servers at this restaurant are pretty cold and seem bothered each time you ask for something. That made the experience more negative for me.

Went on a late Sunday evening and we were the only ones in there. We ordered dinner specials, a geisha roll and hamachi sushi. The sushi was fresh and the geisha roll was tasty. The chicken teriyaki dinner was a good sized portion, the tempura was cooked just right and nice and crispy.

Food was ok, service was not the best. It took a long time for the sushi to get to our table, not sure if they were understaffed when we went but the food was good once it arrived. Our favorite was the rainbow roll.

The food was not the best choice we made. It was moist and at the same time dry all in bad ways. It didnt have good flavor and the rolls would just fall apart so easily. They should really consider new chefs/cooks. One of the bad sushi places Ive tried.

Great hidden gem! I recently discovered Sanyo Sushi & Im quite satisfied with their sushi. Even for to-go orders, their presentation is very impressive! I normally order their Chirashi bowl & cut rolls (awesome cut roll deal for their lunch special)!

Sooo good! Take it from a former sushi chef, this place is great! I mean really, i worked in sushi restaurants for 6 years and Im tellin you Sanyo sushi is the real deal! The staff is friendly, professional and prompt. The food is fresh, savory and crafted to absolute perfection. And the prices are right on point! Weve been coming here for about five years now. We love the food here and we always come out full and satisfied. The price was reasonable but now due to the pandemic, their price has gone up too. We used to eat here almost every week. But because of the increase, we cant afford the weekly visits anymore so now we come here once a month at least.

My family and I came here last night at around 5:30 PM to celebrate my brothers birthday. This was our second time coming here, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food.Their sushi is genuinely better than nearby competitors, and they have a much wider variety than other restaurants that specialize in sushi.Then theres the miso soup and their teriyaki. I want to know where the heck they source them from because they are the absolute best. The soup tastes like it was made in-house from fresh ingredients, and their salmon teriyaki was absolutely delicious.I would rate this place six or seven stars if I could... but since Google only goes up to five, I have to settle for a five star review.

My first experience here tonight and I surprisingly very good food. My family came in before 6pm for happy hours and 2 dollars beer. Its very good all type of sushi rolls. A small restaurant but very typical food menu. Give it a try during happy hours. Dont loose anythi g except a full stomach. Two rolls for $14 is a steal. I can only finish one and my kid help the other.

Food is above avg and the place is well decorated and parking is plentiful.Family night,date night, or just a solo happy hour pleasure this place serves the purpose for every event or celebration.The sushi bar is cozy and there is a good size tv at the bar. Sushi chef is not very talkative and polite.Place feels like youve been coming for years and gives you an experience of satisfaction.Will come back for any time my craving for sushi sets in.

Came here after seeing the ratings. Wonderful life choice. Had Alaskan, Spicy Crunchy Tuna, Yummy rolls. The Yummy roll low key changed my life. Service was also top notch. 6/5 star rating in my book.

I love this place!First off, costumer service is in a league of its own, theyre so attentive and always on top of their game.Ive been at the sushi bar a couple of times and is always a party, and the table service is always great.The food, just like the service its amazing!We had the paradise roll, sesame chicken, albacore croquettes, garlic edemame, some salmon and fatty yellowtail nigiri, all of the dishes were extremely good, Ive been to a bunch of Japanese places and the flavor here surpasses most of them if not all of them.

Delicious udon, and very tasty poke bowl. I had my poke bowl without rice, and some of the greens were not my favorite, but overall it was delicious. The combo we had was a bit expensive and not as delicious as other nearby sushi places. Id probably stick to the lunch special prices.

I am sorry that I cannot give a positive review. I loved Dai Shogan. That was the sushi place before it became Sanyo Sushi. I spent many hours there and it was the place that introduced me to sushi when I was 30 years younger. I have been trying to accept Sanyo Sushi as the replacement and have been happy with the quality of their offerings.So, whats the problem? I have been insulted and saddened by the attitude of the chef, whether intended or not, and almost left without the food I had already paid for. The hurt I feel has made it clear that this is not a welcoming place to eat and I cannot come back.The rest of the staff are wonderful.

Weve eaten suchi for years, the NEW Sanyo Suchi is definitely our FAVORITE by far, believe me, weve tried them all.The old Sayno Suchi was good and the owners were sweet, until the one of their chefs was rude,and didnt return until the new owners of Sayno Suchi took over aprox.ten months ago.We walked in, the owners and the entire staff, were friendly and very inviting, it felt like home already.The suchi and food is outstanding, their customer service is unbelievable, and they have a great happy hour, $2.50 beers, what a treat.We go there atleast twice a week, enjoying all that they have to offer, including their amazing staff.Everytime we bring family and friends, they absolutely love it, and want to come back.A must try 👍👍👍

Was craving sushi and decided to try this place out. Their bento is a little different than most others. Got the sushi bento which came with different sushi and an option of California or Spicy Tuna roll.All in all, the sushi was sized reasonably for the price. The salmon sushi tasted a little powdered. The yellowtail had a little bit of aftertaste to it.Overall not bad but Ive had better sushi elsewhere

Sanyo Sushi is the successor to the late, lamented Dai Shogun. The sushi happy hour from 3 - 6 is a bargain, so is the $2 beer on tap beer available all day long. The nigiri and sashimi are acceptable, I always choose the creative rolls.
