The food was great and it is a place where you will go back to if ever you are craving for Thai Food again. The place looks and feels like authentic. The flavors of the food is authentic. I recommend their Iced Thai Coffee it will surely wont make you fall asleep! It was strong and the taste of it is powerful.

Wife and I have gone to this restaurant every valentines day. Tonight was a great date night. At the door it does say masks required. Although I am lead to believe that its an older sign.. just not changed . I still respected it regardless that we are fully vaccinated.As you walk into the door you simply can ring the bell to let staff know your waiting. We waited all but maybe a minute before being seated. Staff was friendly and greeted us kindly. We sat in a booth. Restaurant was clean and you can tell they definitely upkeep the place.Dishes ranging from 5.00 to 20.00 most are served for a portion of 2 people.. its a lot of food .. but I also like to take some home. With that being said you can easily rack up a larger dinner bill.Wife and I ordered teas. She ordered the Thai tea (large) No refill on the specialty drinks but on the normal tea and soda yes.I just ordered regular unsweetened tea.We started are meal with some appetizers the Triangle Crisps and the Freash rolls (shrimp) you wont be disappointed by the Freash rolls great peanut sauce and basil sauce. This is the largest rolls I have encountered. Really good . Refreshing.Tom yum Shrimp followed along with Combination fried rice . I added pineapple do delicious with it . We also ordered the Pork Pad Thai.Restaurant for the most part is very quiet and cozy you definitely will have an intimate setting. Nice place to take your date or tour spouse.

5 stars does not do justice of how AMAZING this place is. Its hard to find a really good Thai place with good quality and I have found that place! I have tried few of their dishes and they are all amazing!!! I tried their salmon Penang curry!!wow the taste was phenomenal!! it was spicy and I dont enjoy spicy but it was so good that even it being spicy didnt matter. Their Tom Kha soup with tofu was delicious!!! both musttttt try!! second time, I tried their chicken Penang curry and drunken noodles!! also amazing!! Service is great, very polite and quick. Didnt sit down at the restaurant but got it as a takeout!! will definitely return and recommend to all friends. My favorite Thai food!!

After years of dining here, we always find the food and service to be consistently great! Weve experimented and nothing on the menu has been less than excellent (mind you... pay attention to the spice ratings!) We really enjoy the curry dishes and the mango chicken was an instant favorite. Dining room decor will keep your eyes wandering and the noise level never gets so loud as to be distracting or annoying. Always a delightful evening!!

This place really surprised me...in a good way! We ordered the spicy basil with chicken and spicy basil curry with rice noodles... gluten free. You never know what youll get when you order Thai basil gluten free, but both dishes were delicious! Our food came fast. It was hot versus lukewarm...a huge pet peeve of mine! And it was so tasty! Nice ambience in the restaurant too. Well definitely be back!

This is a great little Thai spot. Decor is very nice. Food was very delicious. We ordered chicken satay, chicken dumplings, Tom Kai seafood (lemongrass soup) pompano fish Thai tea and Cherry Coke.

Had a great experience here even though I ordered it to go. The staff was friendly and the food is delicious.Ordered the Basil Fried Rice and the Triangle Crispy. My favorite is the Crispy Triangle. The Basil fried rice has good flavor.I will be back!

This place is turning into my go to spot in Ventura.Thier avacado green Curry blew my mind away. Flavors from lemongrass, thai basil, mixed with creaminess of the avacado and coconut milk, it was spectacular. And the green beans with it added a wonderful crunch.The pad thai, they made it vegan for me. Its my usual order.Red Curry is a family favorite. Unlike some places where they over do the coconut milk, this place does it right. It had the good balance. Additionally, my mothers favorite is the drunken noodles.Lets talk about appetizers:Tofu Satay is a must order.Tofu Spring roll has a fresh flavor tied to it.The staff is always nice. From us dining in, or ordering out, we never had an issue. (And we always customize our orders due to being a vegetarian and vegan household).

Really good. Nice seating, great ambiance, clean, and great staff. A plus is the menu is available online. We arrived for lunch around twoish and started with the Chicken Satay appetizer. I had Panang Curry with beef and my friend had the Pad Thai with shrimp. We brought our own bottle of wine, and there is a very reasonable ten dollar corking fee, a whole lot less that many other restaurants. They had chilled glasses ready for our Gewürztraminer that paired very nicely with the entrees. Did not order desert. Overall Very good and definitely worth a return trip for another lunch or dinner.

The panang curry was fantastic. The sauce was just the right consistency, and the chicken was not left in huge chunks like many other thai restaurants. The rib eye curry my husband got was amazing, and Ive never seen that offered anywhere. The food came out quickly. I highly recommend!

Wow, just wow. I was going to go to Daves Hot Chicken and Im GLAD I went here instead. Nothing wrong with Daves, but Sawasdee was incredible. We had the Panang Curry, Thai Crab Omelet, and Thom Kha Soup. Every dish was so good. I cant wait to come back and try the other curries. Plus, the service was great! Fast and friendly, and the ambience is really cool as well. 10/10 would recommend!!

Glitchy website. It charged me three times for my order, but the restaurant did not receive it. I called, they couldnt help. Now I have to wait till Monday to dispute the charges. Im out almost $300, but no food.

I come here randomly since we dont live in this area. I love their food and desert options. But i noticed a big change in their food. The plates are smaller now and you end up paying for a plate at a unreasonable cost. The pai tai has less chicken now and the cashew has less chicken as well. The sticky mango rice cost more now than before.

Just spent $80 on 2 appetizers and 2 main courses. One appetizer was missing 2 ingredients and 2 of the main courses were cold. Such a disappointment. Hope y’all can get it together. You used to be the best Thai place in Ventura. Definitely a better experience dining in.

The first reason I like this place is that its a really pretty restaurant it has art and pretty wallpaper. The servers are often dressed in what I perceive as a Thai outfit. I really like the food and the fact that the menu is so extensive. I always ask lot of questions and the servers have no problems with that. they are very patient and knowledgeable. And of course theres the food its really wonderful! A a Friend and I went to a few nights ago and we both ordered half a duck. And the presentation alone was is very nice .the duck sat in a bed of all kinds of vegetables. We got some brown rice and some tea and when were stuffed when we left. I would highly recommend it. One of the reasons I really like it is that spicy items are labeled and they will make the food not spicy if thats what you want. And I cant eat spicy food. Hope everyone will give this restaurant a try!

I’m so glad I found this place! There’s not that many Thai food places around Ventura.The food is always good, made fresh to order. The heat is very tolerable and can always be adjusted with their spice choices. The ambience is great. The prices are reasonable for the portions. The location is not the best. It’s in a sleepy part of town. That may be to my advantage so they don’t get too busy! I really want them to stay in business though, hence the 5-star!

Quality of food is good. Service is horrible as they always give me attitude when I ask for extra hot sauce. They are smiling when they take my debit card, but frowning when I ask for more condiments. Unacceptable. They should be grateful that I spend my hard earned money on their food, and offering condiments is part of the experience. Not going back ever again.

Not great, but good enough. I got the yellow curry and satay. Ive had yellow curry in many other places, and this was very good. My main complaint is that the portion was awfully small - barely a cup worth. Im accustomed to two cups in most Thai restaurants. Also, it was not busy (just myself and another customer), but it still took nearly 20 minutes for the food to arrive. The curry was served NOT in a bowl, but on a sort of shallow plate, which left parts of the soup cold. I might try this place again and order something different, but for now, three stars is all Ill give.

The Thai food here is good/decent and large portioned in comparison to other places near by. The dishes I had when visited: Papaya salad at medium heat, fresh spring roll, drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, and an eggplant dish.The lack of five stars comes from the non-refined atmosphere. (Peeling wall paper, large laminated picture menu in the entry area, things looked slightly out of place ) Definitely one of the better places in the area that do not over do the sweet coconut flavor in every dish.Probably five stars if I ordered as takeout.

Great food and service. I have never had a bad meal and my food is hot and ready within minutes of me ordering. The service here is amazing. They make sure my water cup isnt empty (unless I request no more water). They dont misplace my orders. They check up on me even at the end of the meal so I can get my check. This is my favorite local thai place for lunch. During the week, the lunch crowd is minimal and that is always a win.

Good place to stop for lunch. They have a good Lunch Special menu where all the options are normally $9.50 (Dec 2018). I didnt find anything necessarily negative, and the staff was very friendly. The food is great (if you ask for extra spicy, they dont give you wimpy spicy), and we didnt have to wait very long at all for the food.If you are in the area, and are looking for an easy place to go for a Thai food lunch, this is a solid choice.

This place is a friendly place for those who love vegetables. Even their duck it has vegetable in it like chopseuy dish and we loved it. Love their fresh rolls also, very refreshing. Their Thai tea is too sweet but we still drink it coz we paid for it lol. Papaya salad is so good. If you have pork rinds you may use also the vinegar as a dip from the papaya salad coz its a lot. Their roti curry its so good but I think thats Paratha that they served not roti but anyhow it was ok. The fresh rolls was amazing and just use little bit of that peanut butter sauce coz it might be too salty for you. Other dishes we bring it home coz it was a lot. The background music is awesome, instrumental, meant for dating couples or who wants to propose or something. Place is not too big, just right. Lovely dishes and we want to visit again and try hot pot or Tom yum . For people who loves vegetables, this place is for you. For 50/50 not decided but wants meat and vegetables, this place is also for you. For pure meatitarian, you may try their duck, its crispy good and flavorful, just dodge the veggies part or you may request the waitress to put the vegetables on the side. Overall it has highs and lows but would eat here often. We simply loved the food.🤗

Ordered Phad Sea Ew, which is my favorite Thai dish but, not from here. The broccoli was over cooked giving it a bad broccoli taste. At least to me, maybe some people like mushy broccoli but I do not and Ive always had it lightly cooked, still fresh crisp. Flavor of noodles good but could have used a bit more sauce.Thai vegetable fried roll, good, as you would expect.Friend had the cashew chicken and said it was good.All in all, good but not great. There is another Thai restaurant in town I much prefer. May or may not try again.Also, pricey.

The Pad Thai was horrible, very salty, I tried to send it back, to order something else. The waitress was extremely rude from the very beginning but the rudeness escalated when, I sent back the Pad Thai. When asked to speak to the owner she completely changed her rude demeanor. She was apologetic, confessed to her rudeness, tried to make up for by giving 10% off the bill and a free dessert. We will not go back. The food was ok besides the salty Pad Thai.The food at Suvarnaphumi Thai Cuisine in Oxnard, is delicious and the staff is friendly.

Its hard to find a good Thai cuisine that is as good as what is servered on the Sawasdee menu in the Ventura area. First I have to say the dinning area is VERY clean the decor is appealing and music is pleasent. Our waitress was the most polite I have experienced in a long time.The food. We had the Golden Bag as a starter which essentially is a crab meat wonton which was fresh and very tasty. Spicy Ginger Noodle with chicken was good from what my guest told me. My plate was the Tum Yum Fried Rice with chicken and it was amazingly good. It was so good that when my stomach told me I was full I didnt listen and ate every piece of rice. The prices are extremely fair as well.In all there is no question Sawasdee Thai Cuisine will be my future place to go to for the greatest thai food. Highly recommended.

Our group had TON of appetizers and delicious entrees, everything was really good. From gyoza potstickers, chicken wings, edamame, chicken wedges, and HUGE spring rolls appetizers to gemreen curry, pad thai, teri-chicken, and some kind of eggplant something, it was all very tastey. Ill definately be back and this time Ill TRY to save some room for this fried bananas...yummy! Beer was very cold which gives this place a gold star in my book! All reasonably priced. If you want REAL authentic Thai you need to visit Rice in downtown Ventura. I will absolutely never be going to this place again and I know 4 other people that agree. Disgusted

My family and I came here and asked about vegetarian recommendations and the female server proceeded to lecture us about America and how vegetarians in Americans eat seafood. We are American. Absolutely disappointed. The guy on shift 8/28/16 is not helpful. We left because we didnt even got water in like 10minutes.Nobody came to see us in our table. We walked out and the guy said Okay Bye.

Delicious!! Got the lunch special and it had huge portions. Hardly anyone in the restaurant at 1230 but dont let that deter you. The best thai ive ever had, and ive had a lot!
