We absolutely loved this place. The food presentation was fantastic. Ambience spot on. Food was delicious with the correct blend of indo- western taste.The appetizer portion size was decent. Yes it was pricey but definitely worth for - unique flavors, amazing presentation and ambience . Will be coming back again.

SpiceKlub had a great selection of vegetarian options. I’m usually not a fan of okra but really enjoyed the okra kurkure. We also got the hazari paneer tikka, chilli cheese garlic naan and mushroom rara. The mushroom dish tasted a bit dry. The dessert we got was so fun - loved how vibrant the falooda looked and tasted delicious too. They had live music which was wonderful.

SpiceKlub offers a unique twist to the every day street food you will find in India. We ordered pani puri, pav bhaji fondue and roomali papad, which were all a huge hit! Great presentation and delicious taste as well. We ordered a round of Pani puri shots to go along with our food but it had a weird taste. We were not huge fans and ended up not finishing the shots. Overall, the place was wonderful and we were seated quickly. FYI - its also vegan.

An 18% service charge is applicable on all purchases, plus regular taxes - you will end up paying around (18+7) 25% above your bill.Portions are too small for the price they charge.Food is average, very pricey, not worth paying money for small amount of food.Taste is average. You might wanna try once due to hype (like i did) but definitely not the taste you will crave for.Smoke made me feel suffocated.PS: they bulk report on reviews to get them removed.Also, you don’t remove the reviews but you enhance your services and better customer experience.

Summary: Its only all about the atmosphere. Food and service is not at all great. Way too costly than it should be.Conclusion: you can get better food, better service, similar atmosphere and cheap prices almost anywhere in the bay area apart from this restaurant.1) $15 for panipuri. I mean are you kidding me? In the bay area, you can get a tasty meal for that price. I wouldnt mind paying $15 but it should taste that good. Indian cash and carry serves panipuri at half a price and it tastes way better. Their presentation of panipuri was fancy. I think the charges were for presentation.2) Vadapaav was Adipurush of vadapaav. A very bad take on preparing Mumbai Street food 😢. There were no potatoes coated with batter and no deep fry. I dont know what I ate. But definitely not vadapaav.3) Service was no good. I asked for a table and manger made me wait in the waiting area. Though there were lot of empty tables. The thing that I didnt like is he doubting that my party would show up. I would have appreciated a clear conversation saying he may not be able to give a table till my party is here. N I just had a party of 3 including me. So its not like we were reserving 3-4 giant tables at his restaurant.4) They added 18% service charges for party of 3. I didnt appreciate their service nor their food but we were still forced to pay 18% service charges.5) I request you, na ..I beg you not to order their non alcoholic drinks. Please dont. They have fancy names for it like bunty and bubbly, ki and ka But it tastes like medicine.

The price and quantity do not do justice with the food served at this restaurant. The sizzling the food looks the taste isn’t that great though. Ambience is good but it is just a one time go that’s what I believe. We ordered drinks as well, it was decent enough. But we have to order few more items to make our tummy full as the quantity of each item was way too less as per the prices in Bay Area.

The flavors are incredible! We really enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back. Service was impeccable and welcoming. Unique beer selection, tasty cocktails, and a fun atmosphere. A bit on the pricey side, but not so much as to not make it a special place to go out for dinner. Highly recommend as my favorite Indian cuisine in Cupertino.

Expensive : Costed us $65 per person for one meal.Not infant friendly : I went with an infant. Stroller was not allowed and they have only toddler high chair, no infant high chair. Also. The high chair was not cushioned. So I had to keep the carseat on the chair and keep one hand on the baby constantly to make sure it was safe. So, if you have an infant, better avoiding this restaurant.Also, I got acid refluxes after eating their food, but that could be because of a lot of other things as well, Ill never know.On the upsidePresentation of the food is great - smokes and steams work the charmFood is tastyPlenty of options for vegetarian peoplePro tip : dont bother making a reservation. Absolutely loved this fusion take on Indian food. We ordered nitro bhel and pani puri that were amazing. Malai kofta was amazing for entrée.For dessert we ordered the kulfi that was awesome. Overall amazing vegetarian menu and lots of options. Service was amazing!

Excellent experience. Everything from drinks to food was perfect. If you are a mumbaikar and can take that spice level definitely order Veg. Kolhapuri. We ordered pav bhaji fondue and panipuri shooters and we loved the taste, the presentation everything.I have been to their main branch in Lower Parel, Mumbai multiple times and I can say they have the exact same flavors and taste here too.Must try- cocktails and mocktails.Amazing experience:)

Soya chaap was the best.Edit (06/2023) Soya chaap was not even close to what we had during earlier visits. We returned the dish saying it was neither tandoored nor hot. They just microwaved it and returned back the plate lol! Definitely not the experience we expected.

Im not usually a fan of Indian food, but I really really enjoyed fusion style Indian street food at the Spiceklub.Started with Vada pav, Pani poori and Nitro bhel was an experience in itself. I am a Non vegetarian but i did not miss anything in the vegetarian Galouti kabab, Mashroom rara gosht and Biryani full of flavours and the Onion chilli kulcha was perfectly cooked.On one should leave without trying the Nitro kulfi for deserts.Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great fun Indian meal.

Loved this place, but why not 5 stars?Two things I didnt like, the first was it seemed way over-priced, and secondly you leave with strong smell of spices on all your clothes and hair. I love the smell of the food but just dont want to carry it everywhere.What I liked:- Excellent service- Great atmosphere for conversation - open and bright- Presentation of food was creative and beautiful- Taste of every item was perfect and unique stemming from an authentic flavor of that dish...they do the best job of modernizing but staying true to roots!

Not at a good experience overall. Prices are really high but taste is very mediocre. Tried many items. Pav Bhaji Fondu did not even taste like pav bhaji at all. We got Dal Makhani which was extremely salty, when asked about.. waiter just picked it up and left without saying a single word.. We asked them twice about it after waiting for a while but no response.. They then suddenly got another one after we almost completed our food already. In deserts, we had high hopes but were disappointed, Flower Pot was missing the soil which is marked as highlight on their website and Motichoor Magic was so cold almost frozen and very hard to eat. Drinks were the only thing that were really nice, we tried Kokum Margarita and KalaKhatta Mojito. Overall Everything was below average in taste and service was also not very satisfactory. Probably never going there again. Definitely not worth the prices. We paid almost $250 for 4 people for everything unsatisfactory.

Food is outstanding. We have been many times and have tried everything and it’s all amazing, including the desserts. But. For an expensive restaurant, service is not great. Dishes arrive before drinks. The wait staff is very friendly but not very attentive. And they add a 18% service charge automatically. Really?! But the kicker is - their red wines are $40 per glass. Not a typo. And it’s not like they have an extensive wine selection. 2 Cabs and 1 Pinot. Seriously?!

STOP SERVING BURNT ROTIS FOR 5$!!!This review comes after a series of such incidents of being served burnt Tandoori Roti and no action from restaurant to improve the quality. When I am charged 4-5$ for a roti this small a size, I explain to myself that maybe I am paying for quality if not quantity. As you can see below is the quality.Same experience whether I placed dine-out or dine-in ord. You guys gotta stop bringing burnt rotis out of your kitchen, its not tandoori crisp if you can taste burnt flavor over the dishes.When we asked for a refund this time, we were told that its a long process to document stuff and then cant be done at the time.

We had the Empress and Mr India, to drink and switched to mocktails Peru mousse and kachi kairi cooler later. All of them looked good, the Empress was a bit too sweet, I liked the glass it came in, it was supposed to have a beetle leaf and ours was missing it; Peru mousse was really tasty but too heavy felt more like a dessert than a drink; Mr India was good; the kachi kairi cooler tasted okay but was expecting more. We ordered Pani Puri, pav bhaji fondue, tostadas, moti paneer makhani, veg kolhapuri, rumali roti and chilli garlic naan. Pani puris presentation was really good with chutneys in test tubes and syringes and some dry ice and it tasted really good as well. Pav bhaji fondue was tasty but I would have liked it if the fondue pot was continuously heated. The tostadas were delicious and the dish displayed a lot of molecular gastronomy techniques, the cilantro foam was so flavorful, but the chutney caviar was a lot bigger than it should have been, was more like gummy bears.After the presentation and techniques of the appetizers the main courses were a let down. They tasted just fine but had nothing unique about them and certainly did not feel they were worth the price tag they had. I was very excited about having a rumali roti which is pretty uncommon in the US but it was chewy and parts of it were crispy. The chilli garlic naan was really good, especially as an accompaniment to the sweeter makhani gravy. The veg kolhapuri was decent.The ambience was pretty average and there were a lot of random noises coming from the kitchen and cutlery being stored.The person who I am guessing was the owner kept rushing us to order things and reminding us the last call is 2:15 since we sat down at 12:45. Our server was very pleasant and always had a smile on their face.

Good food. Fancy presentation. Favorite appetizer was the harabara kabab with small piece of cheddar center👌the pani puri also tasted good. Pav bhaji fondu not very tasty and also be aware of tomato soup it comes with whipped cream topping( we wasted the entire thing as it was just too sweet)All breads were good except the bhajra which felt a little bitter. The corn palak was very bland (no salt or spice) the veg jalfrezi was good and spicy🌶️. Although the presentation for all the deserts were very good the taste was just ok. Tried this restaurant for a weekend dinner twice. The menu is curated to provide an upscale gastronomy experience with Indian food. However, from a taste perspective the regular entree menu fares better than the curated unique appetizers. Brownie points for the effort but the restaurant has a very very steep price point for what it offers. Service is not exceptional but not bad either.

Reasonable quantity, each dish can be enjoyed by 2 to 3 . Overall good experience. Keep in mind, reservation is compulsory and place is expensive compared to regular vegetarian options .

Nice ambience. Helpful and friendly staff. I have been here several times and find myself a little conflicted. Some items are really nice- nitro bhel, pani puri, tea, mango lassi, paneer curry. Some items like the paneer tikka, chana masala could be a lot lot better and were honestly underwhelming . The main food also takes a lot of time once appetizers are ready. The pan based dessert and kulfi are a treat. While the visuals look stunning and appealing some items need to back it up in taste .

Mandatory 18% service charge on already overly priced food. Yes the 18% is mandatory even for a party of 2 - at any time of the day. On top of that charge they’ll ask you for tips too - looks like they don’t share the service fee with their staff.The food was oily, tasteless and the portion size were tiny too.The ambiance is just okay - not worth the pricing they have. Very limited menu and the staff is not helpful with the recommendations too.The breads were served cold and hard and chewy.They are sneaky in many ways - they already charge you mandatory fee - but to make portion size look bigger that they are - they use plates with lifted center.The food is below average for sure - the mushroom kara that we ordered has very hard mushrooms - was too oily and felt stale.I wouldn’t mind paying extra if the service and food taste and quality is worth it - but this was just below par in every sense. This is a complete vegetarian restaurant and that itself should be a reason enough for you to visit!The food isn’t just tasty but even creative! So are the drinks. It was also a bit expensive.Still, this will be one of our most visited places!PS: Would recommend you to sit outdoors rather than behind the bathroom. Its a good attempt at modern Indian cuisine. Ambience is great. Dishes are presented in a novel way and we liked the twists to traditional dishes. The taste profile is flat, customer service is low energy, slow and distant. Reason its getting 3 vs 3.5 is because 18% gratuity is added by default for a party of four - why? Try it once, hope they fix service and up the taste profile.

Fantastic food with a nice ambience. Its regular North Indian fare turned into interesting dishes that I havent experienced before. The service was prompt and they do allow you quite a bit of time after you finish your meal and do not hurry you or push you out.Price is on the expensive side and per person cost can easily exceed $40. Also, please note, they add an 18% service charge, even for parties smaller than 6. So pay attention to your final check.

I recently dined at SpiceKlub, and I must say, its not a kid-friendly place. They dont have a kids menu or kids drinks, which can be inconvenient for families. The restaurant seems overly hyped, but the quality of food is only average. Additionally, the staff struggled to accommodate special requests. The high prices seemed unjustified, mainly due to the unnecessary fancy setup and food decoration. I wouldnt recommend this place; there are better alternatives with better prices and quality. Also, be cautious of the 18% service charge, which feels unnecessary.

A perfect gem for vegetarian people hidden in the heart of the Bay Area. The molecular Gastronomy experience was unique and cool. It resonates perfectly for the Mumbains who have visited this franchise in India. The food experience was unique and nothing I have experienced in an Indian restaurant before—good portion size for a high-end restaurant. Our favs were pav bhaji fondue, Samosa chat, vada pave, Pani puri, Hazari paneer tikka, corn palak lasooni, and mushroom truffle biryani. For dessert, we had paan moose and bubbling Kesar Pista kulfi, which was mind-blowing. Overall, each bite reminded us of Mumbai and left us coming for more. A must-visit for vegetarians!!! The staff and owners are very friendly and the service was quick and efficient.

Some traditional paneer dishes were done well. There own versions of dishes like soya kheema were honestly difficult to swallow, so overly spiced with garam masala that we could not eat it beyond 2 attempts.Bar drinks were not fun. The server dropped crushed ice on our table and didnt bother to clean up after himself. There were way more ice cubes in my glass than there should be and I could not taste much so I ordered a Coke. Great selection of appetizers. Kurkuri bhindi is a must have. Other great items were the pav bhaji fondue, hazaari paneer tikka. Pani puri was innovative. From the main course I specifically enjoyed the mushroom truffle biryani. It was packed with flavors. So much so that we ordered a biryani to-go on our way out. The desserts were fancy. The soap cake, volcano, flower pot, all were delicious. There is plenty of parking around. They do take reservations on yelp where you need to put in your card details. They have a no show fee per person. Indoor as well as outdoor seating has great ambience. Currently they are short staffed, so you can expect delayed service. Not a good place to order to-go. The main attraction is experiencing the innovative drinks and delicacies. I took one star off for the delayed service and because they forgot to add the side of dahi to my to-go order for biryani. However, I would definitely come back to try more from their menu and hopefully I can give a perfect five star rating.

Much below average food for their price. The worst part was a mandatory service charge of 18% for even a party of 2 people. The ambience and the service is very average (like any regular restaurant), so it makes no sense to charge a mandatory 18% service charge. Almost no other average restaurant does that. Why would you charge a mandatory service fee rather than have the customer decide based on how the service was?Coming to food, we ordered two dishes, a drink and some bread. Firstly they have very small portion size. Secondly the taste was way below average. I don’t even cook often but I have still cooked better Mushroom than this. The mushroom dish was quite oily and below average. Just trying to charge extra for a couple of gimmicks with pani poori, etc.Would never go again or recommend to anyone. Not sure if the good reviews are real or not since we saw 2 other groups that were highly unsatisfied of the food.

The moment we started eating the first 5 minutes we knew this would fantastic!Spice Klub has a very cool indian fusion menu. A lot of the menu items are fusion and sound enticing. Right from appetizers (Pani Puri, Okra, Paneer) - the taste and presentation was top notch. Lot of dishes when cold is presented with liquid nitrogen for coolness.The main course dishes were amazing as well. The entree was flavorful and spicy as requested! You may have heard the names of all the food on the menu, but I bet that you have never seen or tasted them like this before.We started the night off with pav bhaji fondue and pani puri (both pictured). Now to anyone knowledgeable of Indian street food, know what those are. But, in SpiceKlub, its not that simple. The incredibly creamy and smooth bhaji of the pav bhaji comes in a melting fondue pot with tiny fondue forks that take you back to camping nights by the fire. Hands down, this is the most delicious bhaji I have ever had. The pani puri was innovatively well plated - with the pani in test tubes and the chutneys in syringes - taking us back to our chemistry labs in school.We went with the Paneer Lazeez (pictured, a must recommendation for all paneer lovers) for the main course. This was another creamy dish that totally melted in our mouths. Went very well with both naan and rice.We chose the flower pot (pictured) for dessert, which is precisely how it is named - a pot made of chocolate, filled with rasmalai, and topped with powdered pistachio. Amazing appetizers and desserts. We ordered galouti kab which was soft and it melted in your mouth. Nanzza was also amazing.The entré was decent, but not out of the world. We ordered dal makhni with roomali and garlic cheese naan. The roomali was a little thicker than the traditional ones in India.The best dish was the kulfi. Guess what! they could not come up with a current printed menu. Ordering food by using scan on your phone and reading small print and user unfriendly website is not my way of fine dining which this this cheap restaurant claims.VADA POW is my fav, but what I got here for $ 16 is a double Roti with three different chutneys and no VADA. LOL when I questioned I was directed to website pics and told that VADA is a magical fusion chutney. I felt that was a joke but no they were serious. Check on their website for Vada POW without Vada. After finishing appetizers. Manager came to me asking my opinion. Upon his insistence, unwillingly I gave my opinion and he was angry at me for giving my honest opinion.Entrees we’re OK but very spicy. Butter Rotis for $5 is nothing but a cheap tortilla well done upto the point half of it is burned and not edible.Surprise came at the end they added 18% gratuity on the bill for 3 people table. I understand it is customary to add that when there are more than six guest but no these greedy owner adds it for everyone. Upon questioning again I was directed to Website. The nitro bhel mixed in front of you, makes for a good experience. Pani puri is fun to explore and eat with the test tubes and meeta syringes. We ordered Pani Puri which was presented the way test tubes are set up in a chem lab. The sweet sauce was in a syringe pretty convenient for the filling but the green water in the test tubes wasnt very convenient. We also got some thandai, which was delicious but not as decorated with the sweet as we had seen in the pictures. The service was fine but the food tasted okay, not as great as the presentation. I dont know why the other reviews are mixed. The food is absolutely the best Indian food I have had in the last 6 years in the Bay Area. The taste is very close to India and the original spiceKlub in Parel, Mumbai. The same chef from the original branch in India leads the kitchen here, Chef Siddhesh.Highlight:They have the original Mumbai style Veg Kolhapuri - the one you get in almost every restaurant in Mumbai. You can ask to get it made spicy, but the chef said most people cant handle the spice here and so theyve had to reduce the spice level for others. I have not had veg Kolhapuri like this anywhere else in the US.Other dishes worth mentioning -Moti choor magic - absolute delight. A curd, cheesecake like pastry that surprises you as it tastes and has a bite like motichoor laddu when you eat into it.Mushroom spinach shashlik - served on a small grill, perfect texture, perfect taste.Veg Kolhapuri - read aboveLasooni palak corn - very refreshing and tasteful. I typically do not review the restaurants but this one is a special case.We did not have a good experience with this restaurant. Went there with family for a Diwali Lunch.- Asked us if we had reserved the table and we said no. We had a great experience at SpiceKlub last week. To start off with, the ambience and the setting was perfect for a nice, modern Indian meal. We had quiet a few appetizers with the Pav Bhaji Fondue, Samosa Chaat and Hazari Paneer Tikka being my favorites. Corn Palak Lasooni and Paneer Kadai paired really well with Garlic Naan and Roomali Roti. Mushroom Truffle Biryani was also unique…loved it. To top off the evening, we had delicious Bubbling Kesar Pista Kulfi and Paan Mousse for dessert. The Paan Mousse was prepared right in front of us and it was delicious. Not only did the food taste good, but it was also made and presented differently compared to anything I have experienced before at an Indian restaurant.Overall, an excellent visit with unique food experience and great service.

Appetizers and dessert are super solid, but the manager. Our entrees were INCREDIBLY cold. When we told manager. he legit told us to put the gravy that was on our plate back into the bowl. In my 23 years of existence, I’ve never experienced that. The guy needs to find a new job where he doesn’t interact with food. That’s gotta be against food safety codes. I will say I that he was receptive to feedback and the servers were very nice

The ambience and the vibe of the cafe is very relaxing. This is a perfect place to spend quality time with your friends and family laced with mouth watering foodVery friendly, hot and tasty food. I met the owner and several staff, all nice people. Nice people compose good restaurants.

I would like to start off by mentioning that the food is extremely overpriced. Presentation is definitely out of the ordinary, but the cost is not justified. The appetizers were decent, but the main course was bland and disappointing. Desserts were okay; the quantities were to laugh at. The cocktails had too much alcohol in them, and did not taste anything like the menu had presented them.The only people I see paying so much for the food here are the ones in denial. People probably dont realize it, but they are getting ripped. I get the importance of the location, but at least the food is supposed to be up to the mark. I wouldnt mind paying for quality along with quantity and I really hope this place can improve on that.Please dont spend your hard earned money here.

The food is amazing. Pani puri is really good and the desserts are really great. I would also like to appreciate the staff as it was late but they still provided us with amazing service and food. And the cocktails were amazing rowdy and aatishbaazi. I also loved the way they served the falooda. It is a must try food place for people who love indian food. The best indian vegetarian restaurant in bay area I can say. They also serve a huge variety of Vegan/ Jain friendly dishes which is really amazing.

Some of the food items we tried were fantastic. Some of them veered to far off of the original flavors and did not do justice to the wonderful flavors and textures of Indian food. The prices are sky high for vegetarian food and drinks. Overall presentation of food was amazing and ambiance was great. Service was great with kind staff.
