Aqui Cupertino
10630 S De Anza Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
It is really nice restaurant in Cupertino. It has a lot of seating and parking. It is usually busy but not too much wait. Service is great and so is food. Being a vegetarian, i enjoy few vegetarian dishes they have specially with peanut sauce, pineapple and green papaya. Always fresh and colorful! On top of that, salsa bar is great.
Ikes Love & Sandwiches
21000 Stevens Creek Blvd Ste 100, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
Ikes is not bad but very, very expensive. At the end of the day you are getting a sandwich. It does taste great but its hard to play $10+ for a sandwich. They have an extensive selection of sandwiches and you can only view their full menu online or by downloading their app. Ive tried quite a few of their sandwiches but always go back to the menage a trois on dutch crunch which tastes amazing with added avocado, bacon, or both! Keep in mind that the more thing you add... the more expensive your $10 sandwich becomes!! Sometimes the lettuce to other ingredients ratio is WAY off and my sandwich turns into a big soggy lettuce sandwich, which really is not worth $10+ dollars.Their vegetarian selection is quite good so this is a nice spot if you are dining with a vegetarian friend.I have ordered via their app when I know the store is crowded during the lunch rush of De-Anza students and people from nearby companies. I think if you order too early in advance they might make the sandwiches too far ahead of your scheduled pick-up time. The past few times I have ordered ahead the sandwiches have been very soggy and dripping in sauce and seemed like they were just sitting there a long time. Not Tasty.

Local Kitchens
21666 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
We visited local kitchens in Cupertino based on the invite the Yelp Elite event and we had a very pleasant experience!Let me start with the ordering on their website - multiple restaurants serving some of their favorite dishes ( not all, so some may find their preferred items of the original restaurant here) and you can order from any of their menus in a single order (or not as we chose). I placed an order on the Curry-up Now items while my better half chose items from the menu of the The Little Chihuahua. While I let my wife add her review separately, I will say this much - the food served was fresh and the taste and flavors ar exactly what get at the original restaurant. Ordering was quick, easy and efficient!Next about the drive for pickup - though the location of the Cupertino venue is a tad distance from my place, the drive down Stevens Creek Blvd was not too bad. The road at the point where you arrive at the location actually converts from 2 lanes to single lane and since there is HWY 85 exit/merge just close by, you can get easily distracted and pass the spot. No worries just take a u-turn and come back. It is just beside CityFish, a seafood joint we had visited a while a ago (great Fish n Chips here) and parking may be scarce but easily found around it.Next about the place itself - with no indoor dining option, the inside is huge and empty with plenty of place for social distancing. They have self-order iPad kiosks to one side as well to order while you are there as well. There was a gender neutral washroom at one end which was very distant ( good) from the place of pickup. And yes, there was now-being-served screen to the right of the entry which you can look at and go to the pick up counter when you read your name. Pretty slick, I should say. Finally about the order - spot on time, ready for pick up, stored in warming area until you do and very cleanly packed and sealed for no tampering post packing. I was quickly handed my order and we were off in a jiffy. Very very efficient. Hats off the to professional and friendly staff - Daria and her team there!!The thank you card along with food was nice touch and was happy to see it was not for Yelp Elite orders only. My wife got it too!Food quality was just as good as they serve in the original restaurant. And prices match the value they give and the plentiful options you get due to the menus of different restaurants menus here.I will go back for more and maybe next time to try some their breakfast and snack options! You should go too
Galpo Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse

Not for vegans or vegetarians, this restaurant is a meat lovers paradise. They have many varieties of well prepared meat and you can eat as much as you want. The salad bar is massive and has a large variety of selections. We will be going back. Great food and great service!
Capt Loui
19700 Vallco Pkwy #150, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
We came here for the weekday lunch specials. Even though a lot of them were very tempting, the $11.95 Cajun pasta, $10.95 seafood poboy with fries, I had to get the seafood boiler for my first time, but I definitely have my eye on the fried basket special for next time. The $14.99 seafood boiler includes your choice of 2 types of seafood, one side, and one can of soda. I recommend the mussels; they were huge. The garlic noodles were well-seasoned and a decent size for a side. The food came out fast and the service was friendly. They provide the necessities like gloves, bibs, mints, and mouthwash in the bathroom. The whole place was very comfy and less hectic than most seafood boiler places. They do have a decent selection of beer and soju though, and a cardboard cutout of Jennie.I saw on their napkin holder that they had a promotion going on: if you write a review for them, you can get free funnel fries or beignets.Since my mom is a big fan of funnel cakes, we went for the former. The fries format makes it so much easier to eat and it came with two scoops of ice cream. It came out hot and perfectly oily. The server was trusting enough to get it in the fryer for us before I finished typing this review.
Sweet Maple
20010 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
We stopped by for brunch today around noon. Not surprisingly, it was very busy, and there was a 1 hr wait in the scorching sun. We got the omurice and avocado croffle, which were both very good. I also got a mimosa to decompress from the crazy encounter we had while waiting in line (see below for details). Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. However, Im not sure that well be back given the long wait times and crazy parking situation. Now for the story...As this was our first time there, we didnt realize how tiny the parking lot was. We were lucky to find a space, but there was a girl standing in the way. We motioned for her to move, and she motioned back and said something while continuing to talk on her phone, mainly ignoring us. My husband then got out of the car and asked her to move. She said she was holding the space. My husband told her that she cant do that, and she should move before the car hits her (probably couldve chosen better words). She finally moved after that and we parked. However, a while later, they got in line behind us, and her husband started accusing mine of threatening his wife. While my husband probably couldve been more diplomatic, calling that a threat is a wild exaggeration. Things got a bit heated, but ultimately we decided to say sorry and let it go. The husband was relatively reasonable, but the girl refused to say sorry and insisted that she did nothing wrong and that she found the parking spot first. Another stranger chimed in, and he and I both told my husband to ignore her, given how unreasonable she is. Lo and behold, she started getting into an argument with that stranger (who are you? whats your problem?), and the strangers wife had to hold him back too. Its honestly a little comical recapping the situation, but it wasnt funny at the time. Luckily, we were able to separate from her and cool down. Even after we separated, I could faintly hear her telling her husband in Chinese, why should I apologize?Im writing this because I hope that Chinese couple or their friends will read this post.To the aggressive, entitled, and shameless girl who continued to deny that she did anything wrong: I only wish I googled this earlier so that I couldve told you this in person - its not only rude but in fact illegal to stand in a parking spot: San Francisco Police spokesman Officer Samson Chan affirms that standing in a parking spot and waving off rightful parkers because youve saved it is a violation of California Vehicle Code 21954(a).To the well-intentioned but misguided husband: Kudos to you for trying to stand up for your wife, but just know that it isnt always the right thing to do if your wife is an unreasonable person. I hope you understood the look that I gave you at the end of the encounter, which meant now you can see who the real problem is in this situation. And if you stand there and do nothing to call out the problem, even if that problem is your wife, then youre just enabling it.To Sweet Maple: thanks for providing a good dining experience. In particular, kudos to the hostesses who accommodated our request to be seated as far from this problem couple as possible. However, given the challenging parking situation, it might be helpful to put up some signs reminding patrons that they are not allowed to stand and hold parking spots. This could help to prevent future conflicts. Thanks for your consideration.
Rio Adobe Southwest Cafe
10525 S De Anza Blvd #100, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
I have in the past, raved about a wonderful Cal-Mex restaurant I frequent in Cupertino, Aqui. Just across Aqui is an excellent southwestern place called Rio Adobe. Unlike Aqui which is a local chain with multiple locations, Rio Adobe is a one location only setup that serves sumptuous Mexican fare. I have a fondness for Mexican fare and Rio Adobe satisfies it to a great extent. This afternoon, I made a trip to the place. It had been a few months since my previous trip when I had the blue corn quesedilla special. I was greeted by a whole new set of specials, each one tantalizing. More appetizing was the fact that three of the four things they were offering as specials were vegetarian. I was famished and ordered a soup and a quesedilla. From my past experience, I knew that I had over ordered. Adobe’s lunch platters are big and filling. But I was up for the challenge. While we waited for our food to arrive, we were treated to some tortilla chips and many of 8 wonderful salsas they offered in their salsa bar. The salsas were fresh and tasty. The corn soup arrived as did my smoked gouda quesedilla. On a winter afternoon, I cant tell you how much I enjoyed the fare. The corn soup was flavorful with nice bits of roasted corn floating in the soup. The smoked gouda cheese quesedilla rocked- especilly with the chipotle aioli on the side. I had a feast for the senses. I walked out, fully satisfied and vowing to come back more often.Back at work, someone asked me how different it was from Aqui’s. Aqui’s offers healthy, organic fare which is flavorful but on a milder side. Portions are extremely well thought out and the food is almost always local, in season and fresh fare. Rio Adobe offers interesting takes on typical Mexican fare. Their food is not necessarily in small portions or for the health conscious. But the tradeoff is that one gets a much stronger taste and flavor- especially to the liking of people used to strong and spicy food. Both of them offer excellent fare for the southwest/Mexican/Cal-Mex lover.
Philz Coffee
20686 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
Is it possible to give 6 stars? 10?There is so much here to love. Im really new to the area, and just signed up for a gym nearby, so I was looking for a place to stop, get some coffee, get some bearings and watch the rain. Frankly, wasnt expecting much, just some coffee and a snack. What I got was a dark roast made by someone who cared about the quality of my drink, and was attentive and kind. I walked over to their food display and found a good number of things that piqued my interest, including a vegetable quiche. I asked the woman at the front if there were any mushrooms in there (being allergic) and she said Sometimes! Are mushrooms a problem? and when I expressed that they were, she quickly checked the invoice theyd received to read off the ingredients to me. One of the baristas made a joke about a flakey, buttery crust, and (I know this is small, but it meant a lot) they made sure I was in on the joke, which was a reference to a commercial.I decided against the quiche despite it not having mushrooms, and instead went with a cinnamon roll and a chocolate croissant, all while having a delightful conversation. Both were amazing, and after finishing my coffee, I went back for an iced mocha and a butter croissant, which were equally cared for and equally incredible. While I was there, the staff was familial and amicable with both each other and the customers, and offered a woman a piece of cardboard to help her get out to her car a bit drier than she would otherwise. When I finally left (only because my phone battery was dying) they said good bye to me as I left and said that it was nice to meet me.There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Ill be returning to this place, and will certainly be telling the (limited number of people I know here) about this location in particular!
