Came here for lunch on a Sunday and got the chicken platter. The salad was fresh, rice fluffy and meat tender ! Cute interior too

Honestly best teriyaki around! One of my go to’s. So tasty and full of flavor definitely recommend. The staff is always friendly and fast. They sell bottles of teriyaki there as well and I always grab one to take home when I stop by my family loves it!

Basically only serve a few things but do those things really well. I love their teriyaki sauce which you can also buy by the bottle to take home. The grilled chicken and steak are both good but I prefer the chicken. The food is ready very quickly.One thing to note is they no longer take cash and only accept cards.

Surf Brothers is one of my fave go-to spots for fresh, hot, quick, and delicious food. Put that together with super-friendly staff and a very tidy restaurant, you have a perfect dining experience. I love this place and you will too!

Delicious as usual. One of my go-to restaurants.The In-N-Out-like simplicity of the menu, the quality of the ingredients, the generous portions, the reasonable prices -- everything about Surf Bros. is superb. Its super tasty, and you *feel good* eating it. Their only problem is that they havent opened more stores, and closed their University City location.

I’ve been going to Surf Bros for 3 years, it’s the most delicious healthy food I’ve ever had, even if the food was unhealthy i would still go because of the low prices. The workers are so incredibly kind and hardworking. I recommend them for any catering job.

Was not expecting much from this place but after trying it for the first time...it just became my to-go place.The primos working there gave me their recommendation and really came through.Those $6 Sliders not only keep your wallet filled, but also your stomachs.Comes with three delicious chicken sliders and a scoop of rice on the side.Thanks you guysEstaban chingones 👌

I was going to surf Brothers teriyaki and catering restaurant way back in the early 90s. I knew the brothers when they were teenagers. And I have to say that I am extremely proud of them for producing excellent food, hospitality to customers, they go beyond.The food is excellent! Everything they make is delicious and has you coming back for more.Their teriyaki sauce is the best I have ever tasted. I have been eating here (and its previously named iterations) for more than 20 years. It is my favorite place for teriyaki.Their rice is so so so good. Sticky and slightly sweet. It is a great vehicle for the teriyaki sauce. And the chicken and steak are both cooked well, they arent greasy or full of connective tissue.Now, the sauce. This sauce is to die for. I would buy it by the gallon, if they sold it that way. I moved from Encinitas to Santee almost 7 years ago, and I still drive up to eat, and buy sauce to go. They do sell bottles of sauce. Its sweet, but not too sweet. It doesnt have that excessive saltiness that is common with most store bought teriyaki. The viscosity is perfect, so it can be used for dipping, or pour it onto foods directly, and you arent going to end up with too little or too much.I dont have photos of the delicious food, the generous portions, or the glorious sauce. It is consumed far too quickly. Its just too good to wait.

I grab a combo plate every time Im in the area. The service is quick and they are nicely set up to be compliant with COVID safety. I have no complaints about the food.On a few occasions Ive witnessed the employees handle some difficult customers very professionally.

Its the best! Simple, good teriyaki chicken or teriyaki beef. There is not a lot of choice to the menu, but what is there is great! I always keep a bottle of Surf Brothers Teriyaki Sauce on hand to sauce up my meals at home. Everyone in the family loves it. Support your local small business! :)

This is a great place to have essentially heathy food at fast food time. It’s hot off the grill but they know how time their customers so the food is always fresh and hot. It’s very consistent and have their own special teriyaki sauce. Thumbs up and I’m from Seattle where there is a teriyaki on every corner.

Im in construction so I travel up and down the coast so everytime I get a job up in this part of time I always stop and eat here. I drive big work truck with a trailer so the parking is awesome 👌prices are worth the price so dont listen to stingy reviews. For teriyaki flavor this is one of the best I have tasted....good job. Great place. Have been going here since late 1990s when was called Teriyaki Brothers. Simple menu and delicious. I like to get the lite bite chicken or steak opposite (more coleslaw than rice), then mix it all together with a lot of their signature sauce and siracha. Delicious and healthy

Like other reviewers, Ive been coming here for over 20 years... since it was called Tokyo Teriyaki. Its changed names about 4 times. The food was good then, and the food is meh now. My kids love it and thats why we go.Over the years the portions have gone way down and the prices have gone way up. I get it... its expensive to be in encinitas. But its rice and meat. COGs cant be more than .50 per plate and they are charging $13.On top of that, they have the ubiquitous digital card reader that assumes you want to leave a tip.Not all progress is good Surf Brothers. Please look at your vendors and your prices and remember where you started.

I used to work at Scripps Hospital, Encinitas and always used to eat here. The food is fantastic. Since moving out of the area ever time I visit down south I always make the trip to eat here. It is that good and highly recommend to everyone. You will be hooked for life!

Let me 1st start off with saying they have a very friendly staff but the greed of the company is unreal.Ive been coming to this restaurant for 15 plus years, the entrees back then were about $8. Most recently ( as in maybe a month ago) the price for an entree with double meat was about $13 now the price has jumped to north of $17 ....For this price I can eat a meal with an ocean view lolHow can you justify these prices?If your food costs are too high find a better supplier business 101
