I have been eating here (and its previously named iterations) for more than 20 years. It is my favorite place for teriyaki.Their rice is so so so good. Sticky and slightly sweet. It is a great vehicle for the teriyaki sauce. And the chicken and steak are both cooked well, they arent greasy or full of connective tissue.Now, the sauce. This sauce is to die for. I would buy it by the gallon, if they sold it that way. I moved from Encinitas to Santee almost 7 years ago, and I still drive up to eat, and buy sauce to go. They do sell bottles of sauce. Its sweet, but not too sweet. It doesnt have that excessive saltiness that is common with most store bought teriyaki. The viscosity is perfect, so it can be used for dipping, or pour it onto foods directly, and you arent going to end up with too little or too much.I dont have photos of the delicious food, the generous portions, or the glorious sauce. It is consumed far too quickly. Its just too good to wait.

I had passed by Encinitas a few times and the area seemed to be quite charming with neat shops and restaurants. Im glad I made it a destination yesterday as it was a relaxing environment away from bustling cities to explore the neighborhood. I was craving for Filipino food and was delighted to find CARin de RiA here. The restaurant is located a block off the main street and had both indoor & outdoor dining. I was greeted warmly by the owner, Archie, who provided me with his recommendation between the sisig or kare kare to match with my beer. The sisig came out sizzling hot and was delicious with the side order of garlic rice. It was a different take on this dish, the pork belly was mouth-watering. I loved the decor/ambiance, the genuine hospitality of the owner, and that it was a family-run establishment. It was a very warm environment, Archie took the time at the end to get to know me, chat about the area, and provide local tips and recommendations for the meditation center nearby. Thank-you, Archie!

Although Ive observed this person many times over the years, she always seemed like a private person, an enigma of sorts, and a mystery. So I rarely interacted with her… until now. This ‘???????' person it turns out, is both the creator and the chef… and she built the whole place… from the ground up, ?????????. These words are a result of the conversation that occurred that breezy night in Leucadia. Monday night always calls for either Thai or Indian takeout, and these two options go to battle in my head every time without fail. If I had ordered my usual ?????? ????? ??????, the conversation would have never happened, and you wouldn't be here with me……and I'm glad you're here.I was however, right on the fence.????? ?? ??? ?????…So anyway, I left the restaurant that night divinely inspired to write and share. I've spent the last week photographing my favorite meals and drinks (these are real, not stock images—my photography skills are exceptional I know—????'?? ???), taking fresh pictures of the crew (more on them later), and putting it all together in what I hoped wouldn't push me past the 4? character limit (??????: ?? ???, ?????? 9? ??????????, ????).This has been creatively satisfying.????????…Imaginary conversation with ‘???????' chef/creator - ????: “I like review, but too long, you're weird.” ??: “Oh thank you so much!, I'm glad you ‘ᒪOᐯE' the review.
