Healthy quick lunch and dinner spot in bustling downtown Sunnyvale next to Trader Joe’s and other shopping venues. This place focuses on healthy bowls and salads that have generous servings and fresh ingredients. The hot honey chicken bowl and basically all their salads are expertly designed and always fresh.We always leave this spot feeling full and happy without being overly heavy and tired like you would feel after eating a cheeseburger somewhere else. They have other healthy drinks such as kombucha and teas!Be aware that this place is highly popular and located in a popular area. This means that you are likely to wait in line for a bit. The wait has never been more than 10 minutes though! The service is fast and you order and get everything at the counter before you sit!Definitely recommended if you’re looking for a healthy lunch option at a decent price. Expect to spend around $15+ per person.

If you’re looking for quick, healthy option for lunch, then this place is for you. You can order one of their featured salads or create your own. I tried the hummus salad and it was really tasty. Regrettably, I encountered an issue where I discovered three human hairs within my salad plate. Consequently, I have decided not to patronize this chain of establishments in the future. I definitely love sweetgreen, but this location specifically has inconsistent portions for online orders. Some stuff is very responsible, but some just miss read items. I have experienced the same issues multiple times.I add photos as comparison for the same customized salads I ordered from different day. I ordered two leafy vegetables as my two major bases, but for the photo 2 there only has one base, and much less portion for other items.

First time trying sweetgreen, recommended by my friend!I got the Guacamole Greens which consisted of: roasted chicken, avocado, tomatoes, red onions, shredded cabbage, tortilla chips, spring mix, chopped romaine, lime squeeze, lime cilantro jalapeno vinaigrette. Youre allowed to sub toppings for equivalent in their categories.I opted to sub the lettuce for kale. I swapped cabbage for another topping, but forgot which one I got :P I also added a rosemary focaccia. It is pre-packed. It was quite good. Stopped here on the way to the dog park. Wanted something healthy and I sure got it. I did enjoy the Harvest Bowl, except there wasn’t enough dressing. It was dry and the kale definitely needed softening with some dressing, so I didn’t really enjoy the texture. But the flavor was there, just minimized. Pricey, $15 for this but I’d probably try it again. Also got the rosemary focaccia bread which wasn’t super fresh and soft but it still tasted good.

I had their BBQ chicken salad bowl which tasted ok though the veggies didn’t seem washed enough -within a hour I had the most painful reaction. I got food poisoning symptoms for the night and follow day. When I spoke with their management the following day the most they could offer was ANOTHER SALAD. Good luck with this place..:

This is mainly a salad bowl restaurant concept. This a restaurant curtain. We went to the Sunnyvale location along El Camino near Mathilda avenue. There are lots of healthy options to choose from. You can choose from a fixed menu or you can customize the bowl. I customized the bowl with wild rice, chickpeas, onion, baby spinach, carrots, hard boiled egg, warm portabella mushroom, Parmesan crisp with the spicy cashew sauce and the pesto vinegarette. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. The food was really great and filling. Its slightly pricy, but worth it.

But I need to switch from kale to spring mix. That kale is not tasty to me. The down side is they prepare food slowly. Normally one hour to get a salad bowl ready. Come on, I know you have a lot of orders. But they are just get prepared ingredients into bowls.

We used to like Sweetgreen a lot and have mostly been ordering takeout from the mountain view location. Its been a while and we are trying just out again with a different location.The ingredients are not bad in terms of freshness. However the sauces are extremely salty. I added a little bit at a time but it was hurting my throat. I had the sweet green ranch and didnt get to try the other pesto sauce I had, as it was already too salty. I couldnt finish the food.

It was an ok experience. The miso salad was a bit salty for my taste and as for COVID 19 safety regulations, I didnt really see it. There are these blocks that are placed on the table to indicate it was cleaned but I could clearly see the table a bit dirty from left over food particles so it had to be wiped away for us to use it. Employees dont wear masks when grabbing the ingredients for your food. I will give it another chance and get some other salad but I wont go out of my way to come here any time soon.

Pretty angry right now. My daughter was in there ordering two salads. The guy behind the counter was making several bowls at a time. She brought it back home. I opened it and got a fish taco bowl I instead of a crispy rice bowl. Since I hate salmon, not great. Lost $15 and a lunch🤬.Maybe dont make more than one bowl at once if you mix them up in the end.

The person making my salad kept hitting the scooper on the side of the bowl to make as much chicken fall out as possible. I barely got half a scoop. So I requested more chicken, she did the same thing and barley have me half a scoop again. She then charged my an additional $5 for the extra scoop. I understand that additional food should cost more, but $5 for not even a full scoop of chicken feels extremely overpriced. I used to come here a lot, and I dont think I will be returning.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I was there 25 mins ago roughly I ordered the crispy rice bowl. The server seemed clueless and had an attitude. He informed me some ingredients had to replaced since they were out of them. I felt as if he was bothered by me. I dont live close to the store I live 30 mins away. When I got home I saw my food was completely drenched in the wrong dressed even though I asked for light dressing let alone it being the wrong one. The salad is soggy to a point it’s inedible. Ive never had such a bad experience to be honest.

We eat here almost weekly. They just implemented new bowls that are half the size of the classic bowls and the prices are the same. All the while claiming the portions are the same size -- right. This especially did not appear to be the case for the to-go orders we saw. They also dont mix your bowls anymore. Dont try to eat in because you wont be able to mix your bowl either. New plastic lids now too.

This is not because of the food. So this is on Tuesday, 10/3 at 11:55 pm. I manage a big Corporate Kitchen as my career and I do Food Delivery as my side gig. When I came to this store, this lady was already giving me a not so nice customer service, maybe because 1. I deliver food and 2. My nose is really stuffed and I can barely talk clear, or 3. maybe because she is having a bad day so I let it slide. And then when she asked me about what I was waiting for I told her that I have 2 orders. I wasnt even bothering any of the staff, I was patiently waiting for it to reach to the area where they place delivery orders. And when I told her the name, few minutes after she just tossed and dropped it on the table where I was seated, in a very rude and unprofessional manner. When I asked her Really? Youre just going to throw it at me like that? She just ignored it and walked out like nothing. Is this how you guys train your employees? She seems like shes the shift manager the way she acts which is worse if she is. Very rude of you Miss.

Love the green goddess? salad. I make a couple of swaps (enjoy apples and tomatoes more than broccoli and carrots), plus I add some tofu. This particular bowl is so filling and so delicious. I end up eating it in two sittings. Weekday lunch hour moves very quickly. Restaurant is always clean and they seem to clean the outdoor tables often (even have a clean/dirty label system on tables). Definitely recommend for healthy, fresh lunch.

It’s all very good. My stomach acts weird if I eat cold salad, which is why I love to come to sweet green. The hot salad bowl makes me feel healthy and at the same time won’t upset my stomach. However, I have to say, I am not too happy with the way they calculated the price... sometimes my customized bowl’s price reached 17 dollars even though I was just replacing things I want instead of adding extra stuff.

This place has really really good salads. Some of the best I’ve personally eaten. You have a couple of vegetarian/vegan options with the protein source being fried tofu or falafel or garbanzo beans. The dressings all taste really nice as works great with the salad. This is a bit pricey (upwards of $10 for a salad is expensive) but is worth every bit. Also the quantity of the salad is HUGE. They also offer online order and pickup. All in all, great place to have a healthy lunch.

If youre tired of burgers and pizza Id recommend this place. The prices arent cheap but the salads are pretty damn tasty. They make them right in front of you, kinda like going to Chipotle, except they make salad bowls. I got the guacamole greens salad with chicken. This place redefined salad for me. So far Ive tried four different items (the Shroomami Bowl, Harvest Bowl, Lentil Avocado salad, and Brussels Chicken salad.) Every single one has been tasty and filling enough to be a complete meal on its own. Its a little pricey to eat every day, but is totally worth it compared to the usual fast food fare one might choose for lunch or dinner.As of November 2018 they are offering a side dish of roasted squash fries. These are delicious wedges of roasted winter squash, but they have nothing to do with fries. They come with a very tasty dipping sauce that goes quite well with the squash.The ingredients are all very high quality. You can order a specific menu item that will be made in front of you, or go with your own custom salad.People with severe tree nut allergies should be aware that walnuts and almonds are offered toppings.

This is the best value for your money in this part of town especially with the office worker crowd. I’m surprised this succeeds here since the lunch crowd in the area favors expensive but lower quality food. The ingredients are top notch and you’ll never find anything comparable in the area (cilantro juicy tomatoes and fresh basil are rare for a good affordable lunch) they even have the best quality bread which is a corner most place cut immediately even the high end gourmet places.

Middle of the road. I ordered the warm bowl with quinoa. The bowl was not warm and the quinoa was hard and unpleasant to eat. The gal did replace it which was a bit better but since they just mixed new batch with old batch it still had the over done gritty texture.Otherwise it would have been ok. Used to be good place, but now they’ve resorted to scamming customers ordering via third party deliveries like uber eats. They will accept the order with a 2-3 hour ETA, which will not let you cancel the order without 100% cancellation fees! Uber doesn’t care, so you either go hungry or out of your money. SHAME ON YOU.

Went during lunch with my cousin, got the bowl, looks healthy but very deceiving. Looks like a big portion but really mostly air because of the veggies. Extremely salty, had to stop eating mid way because of the atrocious amount of salt which was in the sauce. People think this is healthy but the amount of salt intake can give you high blood pressure. They have to make it taste like real food other wise who would pay $13 + tax for a bowl of salad with some bread crumbs and tiny bit of chicken. Pretty much a rip off. There is a reason why fresh choice went out of business; salads and bits of food doesnt keep you full, you end up going back to get other junk later in the day. Stay away from this place, better off going to Chipotle and getting a double chicken bowl.

If you’re Vegetarian, BEWAREThey will constantly get my modified salads wrong. If you ask for meat taken out of the salad, there’s a 50% chance they’ll just put it in anyway, online and in person. If they do it in person and you call them out, chances are they will proceed to pick out the meat UNGLOVED as if that’ll get all the pieces out....Astounding.Good luck and make sure they get your orders right.The one star is for them being able to put salad in a bowl and also for their refund policy.

I have to say I really like this place, thats why I feel so disappointed. I ordered two warm bowls for dinner yesterday, one for me, another is for my boyfriend. It tasted good as well, but two hours later, me and my boy friend, both of us do not feel comfortable, we got diarrhea together. I didnt think its because of SG on that moment.Sometimes, we save some salade for the next day morning, we did the same thing yesterday, so saved some salade to eat this morning. Well, I have other food, so I didnt eat the salade, but my boyfriend does, he got a big diarrhea just in 30 mins later. But Im fine. Eating SG salade is the only different thing between me and my boyfriend. On this moment, we are thinking SG salad probably caused diarrhea.

It wasnt that there were a lot of customers; its just that every time a customer walked in, they took their order first before processing our online order. We placed and paid for a pre order in group travel. Due to logistical changes in our schedule we TEXTED 4 hours in advance to pick up the meal one hour ahead of planned. They said NO couldn’t change it or cancel. But we could reorder the order and change pick up Time however we would have had the double order. Will never use this again despite quality of food the qualities of customer experience and adaptability is poor. We text to “live humans” because you can not talk to anyone. Live humans in text messages can not solve a problem or work with a customer. Do not have unforeseen circumstances arise with a pre order. Never Again

The service was terrible; nobody came over to take our order, then they eventually did come over and took the order of the lady behind us.Also, the tall glass between you and the worker make it impossible to order without yelling. As if the inexplicably long wait times were not bad enough (there never seems to be enough people serving- it can take up to 20 minutes!!!- and they have made people wait an extra 10 minutes because they forget to cook more chicken) today I found a live cockroach in my salad. As I made my way to the last portion of my salad, what I thought was a bread crumb started coming to life. As it warmed up by moving its joints and shaking its wings I managed to pick it out of the bowl and knock it out. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Im not sure if Im ever gonna have Sweetgreens again.
