Small sit down, a lot of take out . Choices of either steamed or fried chicken . Both very tender . The rice very good . As t the suggestion of the the person at the counter taking our orders, for 6; he suggested we order the family meal, which had half and half of each kind . Different sauces, sweet, spicy, and choices of chicken broth soup or herbal broth. We ordered both . Several types of sweet teas. All very reasonably priced !! Very pleased with service, food .

Quick fast place to order take out. First time there. Ordered the hainan chicken rice. The chicken not to dry, the spicy sauce is good. Personally just don’t like the other sauce they gave. Big portion, great price. Will try the soup and the fried chicken next time.

This was my first time having Hainan chicken and it was amazing, truly delicious. The staff was friendly but the service was incredibly fast. The Boba was decent, but the chicken was the true prize here which was phenomenal. The broth was delicious as well. If you have never had Hainan chicken or enjoy it Taishi Hainan chicken is a great place to check out. Ill definitely be back for more

After an exhilarating go-karting session, our group of four headed to Taishi Hainan Chicken and were pleasantly surprised by the Hainan Chicken Rice XXL Family Tray Meal.The ORIGINAL HAINAN CHICKEN RICE was a delightful symphony of flavors. The steamed chicken, infused with herbs, paired perfectly with the garlic ginger rice. The spicy garlic ginger sauce and sweet sesame sauce added layers of taste that elevated the dish.The HERBAL CHICKEN SOUP was equally satisfying. A classic recipe with 5 herbs, shiitake mushrooms, and garlic, it was a warm hug in a bowl. The option to turn it into a Spicy Tom Yum flavored soup was a creative touch.Whats more, the portions were generous, and the pricing was reasonable for the quality and quantity of food provided. Feeling ripped off...27$ for a cheap chicken breast in water and some more cheap chicken with sauce from the tube...nothing is self made and no love is beeing put in the food....how do you charge 12 $ for a 1$ chicken breast 3 little mushrooms, some celery and some broth???? You too lazy to cut the chicken breast and put it in a bowl....im disgusted by the service, attitude and passion for food....dont go there...highly overpriced, no flavor and cheap chicken.I was all night on the toilet with diarrhea....this was the worst restaurant experience ive ever had..

This is one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had. The value is great and the portion is massive. The dining area is clean and service is very nice. We had both the fried and non-friend chicken dish, and they were tender and came with delicious sauces. Would highly recommend!

This is the worst Hainan chicken I ever had.Meat is extremely dry, sauce is completely wrong.I understand they removed the chicken skin to appease the customers who have never been exposed to real Asian food, but the skin steamed well provides richness to the meat, which in an essential part of the Hainan chicken

I got the original for my wife and the fried one for me. They are both actually really delicious! The original had really moist chicken and the sauces that came with it was really good! Also, the workers are really nice and friendly. I will definitely come back!

It is a simple restaurant that you can take out or eat in. Order at the counter and get your number, wait for the food. Soup is really good, and their ginger sauce is the best in the LA county. Fried chicken or steamed chicken with the rice, each order is $12. Everything comes in the boxes. The portion is okay compared to the price.

Over all experience is all right. Its nice little corner to serve Chicken over Rice. You have two choices: Steam or Fried.Personally I will give a (3) Stars, but its unfair for this place. Because the food is not that bad. Just, its not Hainan Chicken as expected. Small place in the corner next to Chicken Maison. First time here & the restaurant only had one customer when we were there. We were kinda in doubt when we placed our order. Hainan style chicken and rice. Dont expect to find anything more. It is a chicken restaurant that serves pretty darn good poached and fried chicken at fair price. The accompanying sauces are delicious, the rice is flavored, the spring rolls were perfectly fried and service was friendly and happy. We ordered almost everything except for the dumplings. The chicken soup was a salt bomb but oh so good. oh...and the no MSG claim seems legit--no aftermath headaches here. For Taishi management consideration: put the to-go food in to-go containers. Eat-in food in eat-in plates/bowls. The food was served in to-go paper boxes that were too tall, too uncomfortable, too difficult and just not ideal. We wouldve had a better experience by eating our delicious food in a more easy to access and mix around situation. Plus, it would make even prettier photos for patrons Yelp/Instas reviews!

Really good Hainan chicken! Went here for the first time on a Friday evening. Its located in a small strip mall with parking available right outside. Theres plenty of seating inside and one orders the food at the counter and finds their own seats. The menu is pretty simple with appetizers, either original Hainan chicken, fried or half half and drinks. Theres also a chicken soup available too. The chicken is served with sauce on the side and comes with miso soup, rice and a bed of cabbage slaw. All in all, Ill probably be back here again to serve by crave.

I’m sitting here with my sister devouring the original and crispy Hainanese chicken and downing the delicious soup! The first bite reminded me of the Hainanese chicken I had in Singapore. The chicken is moist and the sauces, they are bursting with flavor. Each bite is like a party in your mouth. They also give you slices of cucumbers, the largest cucumber slices we have ever encountered. This will easily become a place we will frequent often. The gentleman taking our order was super helpful and can I just take a moment to rave about the kitchen? One of the cleanest kitchens I’ve ever seen. Don’t miss out on the soup too! Huge food portions and another super win for a mom & pop restaurant! It’s great to be able to support a community restaurant while reaping their delicious rewards!!

So glad I finally found a great hainese chicken place near my area! The best part is that it is also a thai chinese hainese chicken place, and it honestly makes me so happy since I grew up eating chicken over rice thai style most of my life. Their menu is limited but honestly it helps when youre not the best at narrowing down your options. I decided to get the fried chicken plate along with the free herbal chicken soup for checking in #protip. I have to say I enjoyed every bite from the soothing soup to the garlicky rice to the moist tender chicken to the flavorful sauces! They have amazing variety in their sauces but my favorite was definitely the classic thai hainese sauce. There wasnt anything that I didnt enjoy about the dish. It was definitely one of the best hainese chicken dishes I have had and is on par with my moms own hainese chicken.! Service !The service was super fast and prompt, and we were quickly greeted immediately as soon as we walked through the door. The person who took our order was especially nice, since he accomadated my order of extra garlic in my rice and additional sauces.!Price Point!Initially I thought the price was a bit on the expensive side for $13, but was I wrong! The portions were big enough for at least 2 people with heaps of chicken. The only downside was the rice to chicken ratio since there was sooo much chicken.!Ambiance!A great place to grab a quick sit down bite. Incredible surprise as chicken, to me, can be really boring. This is not at all! Extremely tender and deliciously flavorful with ginger rice, which I want more of next time. The spicy lime sauce, sesame sauce, and garlic sauce are all three incredible with distinctly different flavors. The herbal broth soup surprised me with mushrooms, which I live. Wonderful customer service, as I called to speak with and ask questions, before my online order/ delivery. Brian was personable and so polite and actually put a few extra spicy lime sauces, per my request. And the spicy lime sauce is one of the best I’ve ever tasted! So excited to try this Thai-Singapore gem - and can’t wait to order from them again soon!

Thai-style Hainan Chicken in the South Bay. I was skeptical at first so I ordered delivery the first time around. It was pretty good so I later made a dine-in visit. Was slightly better. The difference was negligible so I may do more delivery orders in the future. But the reduction of a star comes from couple of factors. First, for half a star, the sauce for the fried chicken is way too sweet. I understand they advertise it as sweet and tangy, but this was too much and was hard for me to find a good balance. Use too much and its like Im drinking sugar, use too little and all Im tasting is the fried breading. I think it could be way improved if the sweetness was toned down a great deal so I can enjoy both the taste of the sauce and the breading. Ive tried it in a different experience with the other sauce meant for the normal non-fried chicken. It wasnt as sweet but still very tangy. The other half star was reduced because while they do give a VERY generous portion of chicken, there just wasnt enough rice to accompany and balance out the flavor. I didnt bother asking for more rice, because most places have an extra charge. I should ask next time just to confirm, but Ill cross that bridge when I go back again.

I havent tried the fried variety, always stuck with the steam cooked chicken: its juicy and tender, and I love all the sauces that come with the meal. I also really liked the egg rolls and dumplings. Stopped here on a whim. We dont live in the area, but happened to be driving by, hungry of course, and decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised, the food was great and Chris customer service is off the charts. How can a place that serves such few items still get their orders wrong so many times in a row? Even after repeatedly telling them that it keeps happening and getting hollow promises from the staff to do better, the mistakes just keep happening. It is so unfortunate that the employees do this because the food is pretty good when accurate; however I have often had to throw my food out because it was not accurate. The last time I ordered from here, I pleaded for the employee to get the right food items yet they still gave me the wrong order - this time I was missing items instead of having the incorrect ones. The mistakes that occur here are so easy and simple to fix that they might make you think the staff just doesnt care about their customers at all. What a waste of good food. Management: Please fix this issue!

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Since discovering it two weeks ago, I have been back three times. The fried chicken is perfectly cooked, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, perfection. It comes with two dipping sauces, both are amazing. They give you enough chicken in one order for two people or to save half for later. The rice is perfectly seasoned and the herbchicken soup is so flavorful as is the broth that they serve with the chicken. The staff is so friendly, service is quick, can’t say enough great things! Saw this place on maps and swear I had heard of it before. Decided to give it a try yesterday. The covid process is pretty easy, all you have to do is order on a screen and its ready in about 5 minutes. Tried the original chicken dish and was very impressed. Everything from the rice to the chicken to the sauces all had their purpose and left me filled without feeling too heavy. Would definitely recommend, the main dish was easily two meals for me.

Both original and fried chicken are super tasty, each with their own sauce combinations, which are slightly different than what youre used to seeing with hainan chicken. Sometimes they leave big pieces of ginger in the mix, gotta love those too. For three people, we ordered two meals and a soup, and that seemed like just the right amount. First time having Hainan Chicken, so I cant compare but it was pretty darn good for something so simple as chicken and rice. Got both fried and regular chicken. Both were really good and not dry or tough. The spicy garlic sauce was crack but your burps and breath are going to be even more special. The cashier was super nice and hooked it up with some drinks because our other friend was raging about this spot. He also recommended we get the large size because we were three to save cash. A fourth person could have easily joined us because it was a lot of food. 3 big eaters could finish it tho. Id definitely come back.

Great chicken... Both the original and fried are tasty and the rice is great (as expected with hainan chicken!) The spicy gingery sauce that comes with the original is far superior to the sweet sauce that comes with the fried so maybe ask to sub the sauce if you go the fried route. One down side, they no longer include broth with the chicken because Redondo outlawed styrofoam so if you want some, bring your own container and theyll provide some. Potstickers/dumplings are nicely fried if not a little generic but theyre a decent value. Overall, great spot in the south bay.

First time customer & Got several orders of half steam & half fried chicken. But my boxes of food looked nothing like the posted photos. Rice was not standalone in one corner, but spread over the cabbage. And both types of chicken was just dumped over the rice all mixed together. Fried chicken ended up soggy since wasn’t placed separately. Messy placement also ruined the taste of the flavored rice for me since everything was jumbled together. Unfortunately we only found out after opening the boxes at home.For healthy white meat eaters out there, Beware that all the chicken is dark meat (thighs), which is cheaper than chicken breast meat. Would be good to have an option for white meat.This is not traditional Hainan Chicken Rice, which is cooked with whole chickens including the bones, in order to extract all the nutrients into the broth, & broth is then used to cook the rice. This place uses boneless dark meat chicken pieces, so consider it a dumb-downed fast food version of Hainan Chicken & Rice!

It didnt help that they served you the hainan chicken with the rice in a paper box/container so you cant mix the soup with the rice to make it less dry. An order was placed through DoorDash and despite the restaurant taking a smaller margin on these orders, they still truly care. They paid attention to a small but special request in my order, more than accommodated it and even included a hand written note. I wouldnt expect this kind of attention to detail at peak hours but I will absolutely vote with my wallet and give them my business directly whenever I can.

They have two basic dishes: fried Hainan chicken or not fried. Very huge serving can easily be eaten by two people. Also very pricey ~$18.00 for the fried dish with a fountain drink. I just bought the quopon today and did not realized this restaurant only serve chicken rice and pot sticker. Though they do have veggie pot sticker, it does not have variety veggie or seafood dishes. My husband is vegetarian and eat seafood occasionally. I hope the restaurant will introduce more veggie and seafood dishes in future. Anyway, I cannot wait to try out the Hainan chicken .. p.s. I can tell you it was a delicious soup with chicken, mushrooms, and some other vegetables in a wonderful broth. I frequent this place often. Tonight at 615pm I presented an expired Groupon of $12 for $20 Taishi and wanted to apply the $12 towards my chicken rice order. The Mexican girl at the counter refused to honor the $12 voucher saying that it has expired and its ZERO value which is never the case with Groupon. I dunno what she ate when she was a child but I will get with Groupon for my refund on this voucher.

Pretty tasty food, I got the spicy garlic chicken bowl, very good with the Chinese broccoli. My mom had the teriyaki chicken bowl, she liked it but said it could have had more veggies. Taishi fried chicken is the truth. Its so good. The chicken is delicious and a perfect seasoning / moisture each time. The garlic rice is incredible. I love just dumping both sauces on everything and diving in, cause the combo of all the flavors is such a win.I only get takeout from here, and theyre so quick. Ill call and they say 5-10 minutes, so I only need to hang up the phone and get in my car right away to pick up the food.The portions are big. A great post-workout single meal, or can be 2 meals if Im not as hungry when I order.
