We had been to the sister restaurant (Thai Juan on) multiple times since moving out here. This was our first time here. Although we did wait a little while for our food it was very much worth it!!! Super high quality flavors. The soup and curry were def the highlight of our meal today.We had a great conversation with the owner about Thailand and many other aspects of life. There were a lot of other amazing sounding dishes on the menu we look forward to trying next time.We managed to say no to the mango sticky rice even though it is one of our favorites but we will be sure to come back for some real soon.

Ordered the green curry chicken and chicken in peanut sauce. Started with fried spring rolls and tea. Loved the food; service was superb and we will definitely be back!March 4th, 2020 - Had another great meal! Ordered the spicy pork with green beans and my dinner companion had the chicken in peanut sauce with thin rice noodles. Had the spring rolls again too; they are super yummy! The service was again fabulous and it is becoming a regular spot for us...this was our third visit and each time it is delicious. Also, they have won many Wine Spectator awards so if you like wine this is a great spot.

In short, some of the best Thai food we’ve had, order the curry or the seafood.In more depth, the restaurant is cute in a sort of kitschy way. A homey, neighborhood feel and an 80’s soundtrack certainly made the food all the better. There was an almost palpable excitement among the staff. Whenever an order was placed, the lead server, Madonna, exclaimed something like “Oh, so good!” I had the lamb curry special, which, if it’s on the menu, I implore you to get. Hit all the right notes, and the lamb was tender on a level that is hard to put into words. My compatriot had the Jupiter’s bounty, which had scallops and shrimp in a savory sauce, which was similarly incredible. I don’t know what else to say to convince you to go to this treasure of a restaurant, it’s some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had.

I live around the corner from this restaurant & decided last night to take my friend, who wanted Thai food, to go here --What a GREAT place this Is!My favorite is the Drunken noodle - I LOVE the flat rice noodles!My friend wanted a green curry with shrimp & pork & side of rice....Delicious! Couldnt do dessert...And tonight we went back & shared 2 dishes & dessert:An appetizer: Shrimp slaw - 0cs of shrimp on skewer on bedded sliced cabbageThen the Piggy Pork with side of rice - very good with sliced slivered fresh ginger!And lastly, dessert: Mango with Sticky Rice: ripened pcs of mango with a bed of sticky rice that balances the flavors when eaten together in 1 bite!Thai This is an excellent Thai restaurant!They have a great variety to try a new dish Every. Time.!Great place to eat dinner!

Im not hungry, but I could be enticed by a Thai green fish curry, I said to my friend. Im not hungry, but I know where we can go, she said. We ordered. The cheerful waitress arrived with the food beautifully plated. We basked in the aroma of our choices. We ate and chatted and soon our plates were empty. The flavors were so satisfying! When we were offered the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert, we groaned. No space! But well be back!

An old favorite in a new setting. Thai This was a Dana Point success story, putting Thai food on the list of popular ethnic choices.Always crowded and frequented by the posh crowd of South Orange County. Beautiful ambiance, awesome Thai porcelain table settings, a clever selection of the most appealing Thai dishes, all with humorous names.And then it was gone. Victim to a major development taking over blocks within the center of Dana Point.The reincarnation of Thai This, in a cheap little strip mall, is a tiny place with a handful of cheap tables and chairs. It lacks the charm of its old self and looks more like a sandwich shop than a high-end eatery.Despite its fall from grace as a four star restaurant, one thing remains: the same crazy menu with the same delicious food. You wont go there wearing your best outfit anymore but you will still love the superb food.

The food and service were both amazing. Ive tried a lot of Thai food, and to be honest I was not in the mood for it this trip. I decided Id be adventurous and try a new dish. I cant remember what it was called, but it was essentially curry with noodles instead of rice. It really hit the spot. Their ingredients are so fresh. The man who worked there was extremely helpful and polite, he even made two custom sauces for us to try when I told him that I was in the mood for something spicy.

The older gentleman who owns this place is a badass!! He took the time to explain the meaning of an art piece he had hanging in his place for good luck to an overly curious friend of mine even tho he was mad busy! Food was good, unique and modern twist on traditional Thai. And even tho the menu was a bit confusing....I see the beauty in their attempts to be clever with their wording!! Just a slight language barrier. Nothing that we couldnt muddle through together!!

My gf and I loved the won tons and drunken noodles. I also liked the Nutty Noodle and the batter used to fry the veggies, but she thought Nutty Noodle could use a thicker sauce...Jib introduced himself and shared a few laughs with us. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable.Enjoy your meal!

Thai This has a long history in Dana Point. The original location was opened in 1992 and since then the owner, Jib and his family have served mouth watering dishes that are inspired by Jibs mothers recipes. Jib is also a wine connoisseur and has an impressive collection of delicious wines. Thai This is the best Thai restaurant I have been to. I am so happy to discover that they have re-opened after the original building was demolished for the Lantern District renewal project. The food is not only as amazing as I remember but the service is awesome. This is a must visit if you want the most savory and authentic Thai cuisine.

Thai This is back! I’ve been missing their food ever since the old building was torn down, but it’s good to see them back. Their food is unbeatable; some of my favorites are Beef Pad See Ew, “golden triangles”, and Yellow Curry Chicken. Please give them a try and tell everyone you know that Thai This is back!
