Tokyo Garden Japanese Restaurant in Visalia

The food was decent. Its not as good as other places. I gave it a 4 because of the effort and quantity of the food. Services were great but not the best. Beautiful garden in the front of the restaurant. Ill definitely come back for the experience but not the food. But still come give this place a try.

The food was really good, but our hibachi chef was very bland. No talking or doing fancy tricks, which is part of the experience. The waitresses were attentive and kind. For the seating, It is a very tight squeeze at the table, so beware of your knees getting smashed.

I ordered food to go.. came out in a timely manner.. their credit card machine wasn’t working so I had to go out of my way and go to the bank. Pretty expensive.. food was ok . The California roll was pretty dry!! Hopefully next time will be better

Just left. The food is decent and the waitresses are very friendly. The waitresses servi e was great! Wondered if the chefs put on shows or not. We just got our food cooked with very little interaction. Unfortunately, it was just us because that same chef went to another party and put on a show including flipping utensils, having the customers catch the food in their mouths, created the onion train with fire, and great interaction with laughs as an end result. The difference was very noticeable to the point of my 4 year-old daughter stating loudly, What about fire at our table?. I understand we were just a family of four verse a party of eight but we drove 30 minutes to provide her an experience. She is too young to begin to feel less than. It was very disheartening and we will not be returning. I advice if your party is not large and you want the experience, suggest it upon making reservations or upon arrival. The show we saw afar was good and entertaining so you should enjoy.

Food is delicious and fresh, exactly as described on the menu and even though its a little pricey, you get what you pay for. Worth every penny.Staff is great and polite, pays attention to each table well. Certain seats get an excellent view of the koi fish and water garden. Overall great experience.

As usual an exceptional meal. I had the Dynamite roll with garlic fried rice. LOVE THE RICE!! The calamari appetizer was in long strips and was rather chewy. The cold sake was excellent. We had a group of eight so they gave us our own room which was really nice.

First time going here had a bad experience and never coming back. Got seated with random people at a table and like 2 people had the cook alter the food because they did not like teriyaki sauce or sesame seed in the fried rice. Point is for the people that didn’t want their food altered had to cater to these people and the chef didn’t bother to cook theres off to the side. Basically said screw it everyone eating food with no sauce or sesame seeds. But i still had to pay for a full 2 dinners. Never coming here again.
