What’s great about this place is the sheer amount of side dishes they give you. It’s very wide and varied, I think they provided at 12 side dishes, which is insane. And it seems to change every time, depending on what they made that day. All their food is really solid, like their stir-fried squid and their galbitang. Very impressed!

This was my first time visiting and the experience was amazing! I was helped as soon as I walked in and greeted with a warm smile from the server Mimi. Mimi and the other kind server were very kind and helpful for my first time. The food is def not cheap but worth the money spent! The area for seating is clean and neat, felt very comfortable. Will be visiting again :)

Great experience! We had one lady server and she was amazing! Excellent customer service and she knew the menu very well. She suggested the rice cakes and sausages. It was delicious! I would recommend this place and I will definitely go back. Lots of parking and in downtown Hayward.

Came here on Thursday for lunch and it was really crowded! I ordered online for pickup and the food was ready in about 20 minutes. There was only one waitress helping everyone at the time so please make sure to be patient if you come here! They are working as hard as they can.I ordered the half and half boneless (full) and sweet potato fries. Everything was very delicious! I highly recommend the KFC from here!

Ownership changed. Be skeptical about any and all reviews.Edit 7/29/22: Tried the Korea House items. They are pretty much the same as before but theyre extremely slow. I dont think theyve figured out how to support both door dash and their own sit in customers well.Edit 2/12/22: Tried this place again since the ownership change and got the boneless soy sauce & garlic fried chicken and also some sort of rice cake skewer thing. Unfortunately neither was particularly good and came out to be about $44 after tip and tax. The rice cake (and hot dog) skewer is just kind of soft instead of crispy like other restaurants Ive been to. The soy sauce & garlic chicken is on there bland side.

Where are all the reviews? The Korean Chicken and BBQ is really good. The chicken is nice and crispy. Next time we’ll try the soy and garlic chicken. We just beat the Friday crowd. TTO shares the space with Korean House.

Food was delicious!It was a busy weekend day so service was a bit delayed. We did get fresh and hot food.Ordered the pork belly Kim chi tofu dish (yes it’s all one dish) and was hands down my fAvourite.Be sure to ask for the complementary sweet rice drink if they forget to hand that out. It’s good and refreshing after the spicy food.

Food was ok but the service was horrible. Only one person working as a waitress and she kepted on sitting people to full capacity. Got our dinner but no rice because it wasnt ready. Finally got our rice after halfway through our dinner.. No one to clean the tables,, actually felt bad for the waitress, they really need to get an extra help. Unbelievable.

Ordered an amalgam of the TTOBONGEE fried chicken (both boneless and legs). The crunch legs were the star of the show. Next time will only order legs (the boneless didnt travel well). Friendly staff and I saw they do serve Korean BBQ at the same spot

They asked us if we minded moving to a cooking table because they were obviously extremely busy. I told them i didnt mind cooking and they were very helpful and even gave us potstickers on the house for moving. I left them a huge tip because of this and cant wait to come back.

5 kids and us = party of 7 had an awesome early lunch on Juneteenth. Arrived at 1130am and the lady who took my call earlier had the table set up for us, ready for bbq! Bulgogi, pork belly, chicken, tofu soup and the half-half fried chix all wiped out along with the delicious ban chan 😄 Lady helped with the bbq - she was super efficient and enjoyed seeing all of us chomping down the delicious food while she bbq-ed and refilled ban chan. Overall excellent service, yummy food (btw we have high expectations for Korean food having lived with Koreans for a number of years!) and hospitality - just as like being at a family dinner - no fuss, easygoing!

Im korean and Ive grown up eating korean food. This restaurant was the worst in food, service, and atmosphere. I ordered fish and they over cooked it to the point where I couldnt break it apart with my chop sticks. My wifes bibimbap had no flavor. The banchon all sucked, the kimchi wasnt even legit. The service was the most uncomfortable service. Theres a better korean restaurant half a mile away called sister house and its always packed for a reason... my mistake was being impatient and wasting my money here. I think people only go here for the fried chicken and beer. Dont order the korean food.

Excellent food! I bring my family here and they all love it. Same with my co-workers… we are all returning customers. We enjoy the great selection of sides, the Ttobongee crispy chicken and combo meats with mackerel and tofu soup. The manager and owner is very friendly & attentive to our needs, same with the servers. We would love to go back here for many years to cone… so we hope they would stay in business for their loyal customers.

Food was good but they need to hire more people. The FOH staff is very overwhelmed, playing every role. From bringing someone in the door to cleaning the dishes behind them. No defined roles or tables for the staff. If you’re looking for a nice dining experience, don’t go here. If you’re looking for food and don’t care about the service, go here, the food was pretty good.

Food is really yummy and the staff are kind. When we went there was only one waitress so I hope someone didnt cancel their shift on her that day. She was very kind to us and worked hard for every customer that came in. She put in 110% that day! The food was so tasty and I ate a lot. I cant wait to go back :)

Good lunch menu and reasonable prices. The spicy pork is one of the best Ive eaten. Its tender and juicy. The staff is also friendly. It used to be busier but dont know what caused it to slow down. Things the owner could pay attention to are the dirty mens bathroom and the uneven parking lot.

I was in the area studying and noticed that my tummy was rumbling so I resorted to looking at my maps for a lunch spot that would fill me up for my busy day. I was glad to have found Ttobongee because I really enjoyed my dining experience here.I entered the restaurant around lunchtime and I was instantly greeted by the Unnie hostess. The place was not busy at all, and I was quickly seated. I had a good conversation with Unnie and told her it was my first time visiting the restaurant. When I revealed this, she did her best to make sure I had all my questions answered and was patient in explaining what options there were.She also took the time to explain that the restaurant has been in business for more than 20 years! (Later, I was told that usually there would be a 20-1hr wait during lunchtime. Unfortunately, these unprecedented times took a toll. I was also told that they do keep busy with takeout orders!)I originally wanted a specific Korean soup dish but unfortunately, it was not on their menu. Instead, I ordered the House Combo 4 and I was in for a treat. She told me that her manager was surprised that I ordered this as apparently, it was a lot of food. No kidding! It was but, it was my first meal of the day and I was able to leave no trace of food left (I even had room for a second serving of the bonchon sized kimchi). House Combo 4 included Beef & Spicy Pork, Pan-fried Mackrel, and Tofu Soup. EVERYTHING, tasted well seasoned and I felt like I was eating at someones house in Korea. The food was that comforting!With that amount of food and the quality, the high price point seemed reasonable to me. I will definitely have to come back here to try the other authentic Korean dishes and bring along a squad with me!

I had been a regular at this location before the pandemic. Today is my first time back since the outbreak. There was only one person working. She was new. I didnt see any regular employees. The new girl seemed not able to handle the whole place by herself. She was serving, taking orders, cleaning and working the cash register. In the meantime the line at the door was getting longer. I was first. She told me to wait a few minutes. After waiting longer than expected I knew that was not a good sign to have a good dining experience. Therefore I decided to leave and instead went to eat Vietnamese food. I will return another day.

First time here - first impression the place was clean. Staffed by friendly and welcoming People. The clientele appeared to be mostly Korean aside from myself. They serve at least 12 little side dishes which were all pretty good. The Bulgogi was not the best I have had but was pretty good. I was so very excited for this place, because I absolutely LOVE Korean food, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. We were referred by some nice folks and looked forward to it. The parking lot was very sketchy, but the interior looked better. It was our first time here, so we were unsure of what to order and asked for more time. We at first had a young girl as our server, but they switched her for an older lady (maybe 40s)... not sure why. Anyways this lady kept trying to rush us to order and I kept asking her about the portion, and she just kept saying it serves 1 person. What is that even supposed to mean? 1 serving in EVERY restaurant is different. I dont know what people had in mind when they said portions are enormous, because it wasnt. Our meals were mediocre, and we were still very hungry at the end of it. The price of the meal was very expensive considering the size and quality of it. When it came time to pay, our server was nowhere to be found. We kept pushing the button to pay (they have a device on the table with different buttons to call for services) and it took forever. Not only did we had to call a different server to fetch our bill, but our lady kept going elsewhere other than our table. We had difficulty in understanding half the things she said, and I can usually 98% understand asian accents, because I was raised with asian parents and friends who have accents. The other servers were actually quite polite and friendly, and we saw they gave good service too. Our lady was just not nice I guess.Oh if you wanted to know, they separate the place into two spaces. One area you go if you want to do our own bbq and the other, you just order regular food.

The food was amazing but the atmosphere was a little tough to have a conversation in, thats because its so busy, which is likely because the food is amazing. The staff was a little short, but at the same time theyre probably trying to help everybody whos there. Its a definite spot to check out though, delicious and worth the trip. Parking is a bit of a chore though, the lot fills up then you have to look for something on the street.

This restaurant has a long history as a first and best one. Did you hear about Seorabul restaurants inside many shopping malls. The late owner is a first founder of that restaurant in USA. Details matter, and Korea House nailed it! The Galbi is flavorful and not overly salty. The Spicy Pork has the perfect amount of char and seasoning. She could have easily just politely said they dont do that, and that it would be extra but instead she was extremely condescending and called over two other women to whom she publicly humiliated me with my having me re-explain to them what I had asked. Both new women gave me horrifically dirty looks, and then one of them LITERALLY began yelling loudly at me in front of everyone in the restaurant, lecturing over and over again why thats not ok and that its not ok for someone to just come in here and ask for an extra tiny side for free!
