I dont normally eat sushi but I was hungry and loved their sushi. I also tried the biba milk tea. Both are good. Service was really really quick and outstanding.

My wife always spoke about this place before it burned down, and than they ended up moving to a new location at Pasadena. After this place opened up and since than its been great. Amazing sushi, great prices, the cups they give for soda are huge, just wish they can put something over the windows so it wouldnt let so much light in . Like a tint film or something.
I love the food here they have a great chicken teriyaki bowl and California rolls but I had a bad experience the other day. I went in to place a to go order but they had a new host who for some reason just kept ignoring me and helping other customers. I was standing there for awhile and he just kept going helping everyone else. Even the sushi chef making the sushi was looking at him and me and talking to him telling him to help me but still he kept going to everyone else. Finally after what felt like forever he came to help me. I was not at all pleased with the level of service I received that day.
The dinner box (chicken karate with mixed tempura) was deliciously prepared and packed! But the salmon and Spicy tuna chirashi bowl was disappointing and mediocre at best.

Any karaage fans out there? You wont be disappointed with Umebanas plate. I went with a friend and we were both pleasantly surprised by the flavor, quality, and generosity of portion here. I normally lunch at Janets Mediterranean at this location, but I have always wanted to try Umebana. I had that chance today, and after enjoying the food, I can wholeheartedly recommend them. Karaage is a type of fried chicken, Japanese style. They are served in bite-size pieces, which have a great outside crunch with a juicy meatiness inside. The seasoning was on point! The plate came with a good variety of tempura. The delicate light batter with a crisp texture was perfect. Sauces and dressings were all delicious. Give them a shot and suppory your local small business!
My daughter-in-law and I had lunch yesterday at Umi Bona, and it was delicious and more than our moneys worth. The service was excellent. The venue could use a bit of upgrading.I will definitely go there again!

I did a pick up order at the end of the night so restaurant was empty as it 5 mins before closing but they were still super patient and friendly. Highly recommend this place

2023-10-03 14:16:01My review is for a to go order I placed on Yelp. I found the menu to be pretty extensive with lots of options and combos for various preferences. I ordered a bento box combination and it was a ton of food! My order was ready to by the time I drove there, about 10 minutes or so, was a very easy process. All the food was vert hot and crunchy even when I got it home. They supplied all of the sauces, condiments, utensils, everything you would need to enjoy your meal. Overall it was happy with the food and service. Would love to sit in and dine some time. Will definitely be returning to try more things!

The veggies in the tempura were not overcooked, but the onion was not tasty (outer layer I think) and too greasy. The dressing in the salad is quite tasty, and I appreciated that my miso soup was nice and hot, not lukewarm (pet peeve). My son really enjoyed his chicken bento box, and he was actually full! I found the prices to be adequate.

I ordered the small chicken teriyaki bowl and the Thai iced tea. 🧋Both were good, but more broccoli would have been nice. 🥦I dined in a while my car was being repaired, So I was there for a time. The person at the front counter greeted everyone who walked in with a smile.Five stars for a strip mall restaurant; its managed nicely 🌟

Both were absolutely exquisite!😋 Our server was very pleasant, and she went above and beyond.❤️Hats off to the chef, too!!!🤩😋😋😋🫡The only thing I would change is the music from the 70s & 80s Era to jazz because the restaurant is very clean, smooth, family oriented, and could be romantic, as well. I ate a beef teriyaki bento box, and it’s a well-priced meal, and you get lots of food from it. The food was fresh and ready to eat. I would love to eat here again.

2021-11-11 04:56:00Extremely fresh and prepared quickly. Many times Ive ordered last minute around 8:30 (closing time is 9pm) but they were always happy to accommodate (the kitchen closes at 8:45). Highly recommend the Alaskan roll and Hawaiian roll, the regular staples of any sushi place but always done right at this restaurant.
