2023-11-21 03:05:14Im a bit mad at myself for not reviewing this place sooner!First let me just say, I love how friendly everyone here is, it has a family business vibe to it, maybe it is?Second, I love the QUANTITY, VARIETY, and QUALITY of the food you get here for what I believe to be a very reasonable price.I think honestly you can split one order between two people. Thats what I do when i am trying to be more healthy, but sometimes I let my dark passenger out and just eat the entire order myself :)

2023-10-21 15:05:44Stamp of approval from my Korean wife! Soo good. Shared a big plate with Katsu and Bulgogi. Was enough for us and my infant son. All the sides are great, especially loved the cucumber kimchi and mac!

2021-10-26 18:55:07Absolutely amazing K-BBQ. A+ 10/10! Great portions. Ive eaten here over a dozen times and every time it is phenomenal. The Spicy Pork is my go-to, Chicken Katsu second, and Beef Bulgogi third. The Fish Jun and Meat Jun are also very good, very authentic. I have not tried the Kal-Bi but fellow reviews attest it is also amazing. Their selection of Banchan is on point. I love the Kimchi, Korean Broccoli, Spicy Cucumber, Seaweed Salad, and of course their Mac Salad! Getting Chicken Katsu with all Mac Salad is soooo good. This is a mom n pop family run business. Last time I was in one of the owners said they were a Korean family from Hawaii, so thats why this food is so amazing, its Korean/Hawaiian fusion come to the Mainland. I love places that do this, youre getting a mixture of culture in your dishes. You can taste the love and care with the food here. Support local small businesses and get some Ummas K-BBQ! Order online for quick pickup.

2023-10-18 21:22:08White rice: too sweet. Portion of food: more than enough. Price: slightly high. Overall: not quite delicious to the Korean’s taste, at least to me.

2022-12-11 22:53:06Nice local kbbq at Lake Forest! The portion is good but just a bit pricey. I especially enjoyed the ribs because they were just made, very fresh out of the grill! The combo came with 4 choices of sides and I had some left-over for the next meal too!

2021-10-01 01:57:35A local buzzing counter order Korean bbq restaurant. Umma’s offers a number of different meat dishes served over rice with a choice of home made banchan (side dishes). They are so proud of all of their items that they couldn’t even single one out to recommend, rather that any that I choose I would like.Their dishes come in two sizes, “mini” and “regular”, although I think it would be more appropriate to call them “regular” and “large”, as the mini portion was already a full meal.I ended up ordering the bulgogi (BBQ beef) plate, and it was delicious. The meat is well seasoned and well flavored and goes great with the rice. It is not overly sweet or salty, and you do get a generous serving. The meat is cooked to order, so it comes out steaming hot fresh to eat, at the cost of a small wait time to cook. They have a number of side dishes, which they are also very proud of. Macaroni salad, bean sprouts, kimchi, seasoned tofu, chap chae (glass noodles), spicy cucumber, etc.The restaurant also offers family packs with larger servings to go, and catering options.

2021-04-15 21:55:21Lovely place with great options. You choose the type of plate (choice of meat + rice) you want and you get 2-4 sides depending on the size. The bulgogi is thinly sliced almost reminds me of brisket, but definitely has the bulgogi marinade. The bbq chicken is nice and tender with a good marinade as well. The macaroni salad and chap chae are my fave sides!

2022-10-03 01:11:48Spicy pork was just ok. Good flavor but poor quality pork. Spicy cucumber side was really good. Kimchi was so so. Overall not near the really good Korean restaurants available in and around LA.
