Vege Valley Restaurant in San Gabriel

This family friendly restaurant is completely vegetarian and vegan friendly (some dishes have egg). They have a large menu with lunch specials and a separate picture menu. The food comes out quickly and the service is good. There are plenty of large tables and booths. Be warned that they have plans to relocate down the street.

We recently moved to Monterey Park from Sacramento, and immediately started looking for a vegetarian restaurant, which is a rare thing here. Most of oriental dishes contain a lot of meat! Vege Paradise seemed to be a great place to try, and we are happy we did!We found the parking easily, the staff is super friendly, English-speaking, and welcoming! Gave us a piece of advice for the first-timers, the dishes were served fast.The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with clean interior and stylish design elements.I loved that they have a menu with the pictures of every dish, which made our choice super easy, knowing what to order and what to expect - I wish more places did that!We left the place beyond satisfied, and will definitely come back soon!

The food was delicious! We tried their mushroom dishes and it exceeded our expectations. We had “chicken” mushrooms which came on a delicious sweet sauce and were perfectly cooked. Also had the basil mushrooms with kidney which had an amazing texture and the dish was well balanced. I liked the soup, my boyfriend thinks it is too watery. Anyways it was all great. All the food was served in disposable containers which is not great. But the service was really good and super suuuper fast!

This is a great restaurant for people regardless you are a vegetarian or not. The foods served are tasty and looks professional. The staff’s are great. This is a clean and healthy restaurant for family.

Amazing, delicious and importantly healthy Chinese food! The claypot/hotpot dishes are a must try

I have visited here many times and absolutely love it! I also brought my parents (vegetarians) and in-laws (non vegetarians) here and they all enjoyed the food. My favorite go to dish is pumpkin and tofu dry pot. (I forgot the actual name) its so so tasty.They have recently changed their menu on marking vegan, egg or milk included to help vegans and vegetarians know which dish is suitable for their lifestyles. I really appreciate that.The ambience is very nice with traditional Chinese decorations. They also serve you a pot of hot tea which is also a very Chinese way of eating meal.The parking lot seems to be crazy all the time, because its next to 99 ranch and many other stores.I highly recommend this place for vegans, vegetarians and non-vegetarians to give it a try. Youll not be disappointed.

Wonderful selection of vegetarian dishes that tease the eyes and fill the mouth with delightful sensations. Even for a non vegetarian this place is really satiating and heart warming. You can eat to your hearts delight and not feel guilty. Ive brought friends who are omnivores (like myself) and vegetarian friends from Asia/India and they all love it. The service is also very polite and friendly with the staff here! Btw...order the the chicken in brown sauce! ;-)

The food is so good, especially for the price. Lunch specials are worth it for sure. Im not a vegetarian but I still cant wait to eat here again.

Loved that this was a vegetarian place that served Chinese food. We ordered so many good dishes that I was able to enjoy (even with a gluten allergy).

Crispy shiitake mushrooms were amazing, but the Szechuan tofu needed some help. Asked for some chili and mixed it in to make it spicier and more flavorful. Not a vegetarian personally, but don’t mind a veg meal once in a while and it did hit the spot. Will be back to try a few more dishes soon. Service was very attentive and friendly which was a pleasant surprise as many Asian restaurants don’t necessarily focus on that :)
