Saw this place from the street whilst traveling North on Grand Ave in Covina. Turned around and decided to stop on in & give em a try. Ordered the fried rice special (comes with fresh, small shrimp, beef bits and chicken nibblets) PLUS the Full Size Kung Pao Beef platter. WOW, pretty darned good and a whole lotta food to boot! Will be back soon for certain ! 😁👌😋

Been here numerous times over the years foods been good. Recently they changed owner and service and food is terrible. Gave us wrong food and they gave me attitude will never go back . Save your money

Food was OK. Place was a bit dirty. The walnut shrimp was so so. The walnuts were either burnt or spoiled. Shrimp was good. We also had the pork chow mien. It was decent. The restroom was filthy.

The inexplicable homey atmosphere adds to the great food and polite service. Portions and quality for the price is just right- you could find more food for your money at any Chinese fast-food joint, but I bet the quality wouldnt compare. That said, a family of four can get away with a $40-$60 with leftovers and satisfied palates. Tip- Skip the House rice/mein and go for the unique twists (still listed near the top of the menu), like the egg white fried rice.

If you want authentic Asian Cuisine than this is the place for you. My daughter loved their chicken dumplin soup with baby bok choy. Plus their chicken wings are very authentic and crispy.

Food has changed way less meat on my noodle beef dish, chicken curry now has no potatoes and they add way less food overall, simply going elsewhere as prices have gone up with way less food I spent $35 for those 2 things

We really enjoyed the variety & quality of the dishes here. Service is very sincere & we will definitely order other items in the future. The place is a med. size, but the long list of menu items reflect the confidence of the chef. The price is very reasonable, the portion is generous & cant wait for the next meal. This is a real deal.

First time and it was very good. Nice portions for the prices. Came with my mom and boyfriend and we ordered several items so that there would be leftovers and the bill was cheaper than I expected...and will enjoy it tomorrow too! Will definitely be back.

Ordered takeout for our first time from here tonight. As I waited and watched food coming out into the dining room from the kitchen... the plates of food looked amazing! Unfortunately my familys experience, once we arrived home and opened up our packages of food, was less than satisfactory. My fried sole was cooked just right but no flavor, sauce or rice... we had 2 orders of orange chicken, 1 spicy & 1 mild, they both tasted exactly alike, bland, slightly dry, large portions and again, no rice or broccoli (like in the picture) We had an order of their house rice which was ok. The fried dumplings were good. Crab and cheese stuffed wontons and spring rolls were over cooked and greasy. Prices were reasonable. The dining room appeared clean but my shoes stuck to the carpet in a few places... staff was friendly. If I were to eat there I would rather listen to music while I eat than watching the TV... my family and I will most likely never return... this night wasted $65+ of our money and we had hoped to eat it for 2 nights... and we will give our opinions to our friends...

We were very excited to try Venus based on the reviews, so we ordered for delivery today. The fees were low and it arrived very quickly, however the food was completely inedible. Very oily and the egg drop soup tasted like straight grease. Very disappointed and not sure how they are rated a 4.4 right now.

Place is decent and clean, staff is courteous. Stopped going here because all dishes started to have more veggies than meat and portions were getting smaller. If you are diabetic you can ask them to leave sugar out of dish and they will when possible, just be sure to tell them easy on bell peppers cause they do load you up on them and they are a fruit and will raise your glucose level. Wont return because I refuse to pay such prices for onions and bell pepper.

Waitress was very polite and friendly. Restuarant is clean and organized, but empty with only 4 customers. There were Chinese nationals sitting at a large round table eating and talking loud in Chinese. The food was very good, but pricey.

This place is relatively new. I usually go to Sam Woo in Rowland heights which is my compare to place and this place comes close to the taste, but it is cheaper, and that is good. The owners are very polite and the food came out hot and tasty. The French filet mignon is a definite go to, even if it is the most expensive item on the menu. Will go back.

My husband and I ordered from Venus tonight for the first time. My husband ordered the scrambled egg with shrimp over rice and the salt and pepper fish. I ordered lemon chicken (had lemon chicken as a 12 year old and have loved since, but very rare to find the same quality) and the house chow mein with fun noodles! Most places we order from we feel chumped off especially when it comes to shrimp, however, tonight was different there was so much shrimp in my husbands dish, the salt and pepper fish was a lot too. My lemon chicken by far exceeded my expectations. The house chow mein was full of beef, chicken, shrimp and all the normal chow mein fixings. My husband was so very excited to see the amount of shrimp and fish in his dish as well. The quality of the food was INCREDIBLE! The quantity of the food was enough to feed this family of 7! We cannot wait to be out of isolation to be able to go to Venus and sit in! We HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for an excellent Chinese restaurant that will make it worth the your visit!

This food was so good it scares me 🌝In a strip mall, but it is extremely clean andwelcoming. Nice, calming grey tones inside,very extensive menu, we loved everything weordered: kung pao chix (peanuts were crunchy as they should be but often arent), noodles with chix & garlic, chix fried rice (very good), seafood curry, Mongolian beef & lemon chix (I know, a lot of chix), hot Jasmine tea. Everything was yummy, fresh, cooked TO ORDER. The lemon chicken was a standout, the seafood curry too. We were very impressed. Cant wait to go back & try some pork dishes.

Hostile Chinese Female Employee, Unsafe!The menu shows $6.99 for Hot & Sour soup. The Chinese Female Employee demanded $11.95 for a large Hot & Sour soup that does not show on its menu. She stated $6.99 is for a small one. That is fraud and deceiving. In addition, she was loud, mouthy, argumentative to provoke customers. NO deal and left from this hostile restaurant!

Been looking for a Cantonese restaurant as there arent many and found this cute place with non-traditional interior decor and very traditional (American?)Chinese food like I remember as a child. Especially fond of the salt and pepper fish, delicate morsels of lightly battered fresh white fish with browned garlic bits and jalopenas. Fresh sautéed green beans, mounds of chow mein noodles with everything in it, and the bottomless pot of hot tea. Menu is extensive, generous portions, and friendly service. 1st visit but will be back.

Of course, the Chinese restaurant should give 5 stars, although the waiting time is a bit longer. The fried chicken restaurant in Chick Fil A said everything inside. But 50% inside. Half of it is less, and they don’t let people check, don’t let you verify.
