Wakatobi Japanese Grill Hibachi and Sushi in Seaside

Best Japanese halal restaurant I have been to in Northern California.Yakishoba noodles were top-notch. Well-cooked, delicious yet light to the stomach.The vegetarian tempuras is so soft that it crumbles in my mouth deliciously.The deep-fried sushi rolls at this took my taste buds on an unexpected journey that I won’t soon forget.My recent visit to Wakatobi Japanese Grill left me utterly charmed by not only the exquisite Japanese cuisine but also the impeccable service that enveloped the entire dining experience. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with a warmth that instantly made me feel at home.The staff are true ambassadors of hospitality. Their genuine smiles, attentive demeanor, and willingness to go above and beyond truly set the tone for the evening.Thank you for this amazing experience!

Im so excited to write this review, I stopped at the UPS store and noticed a small place, and it said sushi. OK just going to get some sushi for lunch. Well, I wasnt expecting the best sushi I have ever had. If you love sushi, you know its about the RICE, no fancy sauce or ingredients will matter if the rice is not on point. I tried 3 different sushi items and I just couldnt wrap my head around how good it was. OK, now for the hibachi specials, I ordered chicken and shrimp with fried rice and vegetables, came with miso soup, and could have its own review 😋. This meat and vegetables had grilled stripes and perfect slightly charred flavor. I am so happy I found this place and cant wait to return, almost forgot they are so friendly helpful love this place ❤️

The food was out of this world. The food was so flavorful. The service was excellent. The employees were very nice and caring. The place in general was very nice and the inside was very decorative and calm. Would come here everyday If I could. 5 - stars for sure.

The best about this restaurant is that it’s halal. The service is so outstanding. Like everything was just incredible. It’s was my first time at this restaurant and I am in love with it. And the food was delicious 🤤. Only thing that I didn’t liked was this restaurant was so expensive especially if you are going with family. But it’s worth it.

Not sure why it has so many high reviews???The food here is a bit bland. The chicken I had tasted old...it had a sour taste to it (I could communicate this but I didnt want drama and felt like its a restaurants responsibility to be aware). My husbands steak was cold for some pieces. I lost my appetite after :( And the sushi is okay - nothing extraordinary.The service is friendly though, so i feel bad giving low stars, but the food was just so bad.

I had the Steak & Chicken Lunch set and I have to say the steak is so much better chicken and I opted for fried rice which was extra but worth it. My wife had the Wakatobi Seafood Noodles and for medium spicy and it was perfect combination. Highly recommended and all meat Halal.

I moved into the area recently and found this place, I’ve been to 3-4 other sushi restaurants but this place has my favorite sushi in great quantities at a reasonable price. Every time I leave this place I walk away full and satisfied, my favorite sushi place in Seaside/Monterey

We had a wonderful experience here! The service was amazing and they were super kind. We went on a Saturday at about 4pm and there wasn’t a rush or anything so we were able to get our food very quickly. Again, the service was fast and they were very kind. We got the chicken hibachi dinner, yakisoba, and super california roll and it was all delicious (All halal too)! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back Insha’Allah.

Great customer service. Was instantly seated. Not only was the food delectable, it came out in an instant. Fresh fish, sizzling steak, and sated veggies. Each meal has its own homemade style. 100% would return.

Found this restaurant at Google and decided to try it since it is labeled halal. The service was excellent! We tried gyoza, fried noodle and green sushi, they were all good! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
