Wakatobi Japanese Grill Hibachi and Sushi
1130 Fremont Blvd Ste 102A, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
Not your usual halal restaurant. There are many middle east and indo pakistani restaurants in California however when it comes to Japanese this is the only one I have seen in California. It is conveniently located close to freeways with plenty of parking spaces. The manager greets you as soon as you enter the restaurant. It is a small size place but ample place in between the tables. We ordered lunch specialties, chicken, tofu and beef. Especially tofu was very good. It was well seasoned with right crispiness. Lunch specialties include soup, vegetables and choice of rice or noodles. Noodles were very tasty, cooked to right softness. The prices are very reasonable when compared to other similar places. We will recommend this to our friends and family.
Ichi-Riki Japanese Restaurant
1603 Del Monte Blvd, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
Ichi-Riki might be the oldest Japanese restaurant in the area. Its a favorite for locals who wanted fresh, appetizing sushi and sashimi. Price wise, it is reasonable comparatively. Their famous Seaside roll (rainbow roll) is a near foot long sushi delight and at around $25, their sushi and sashimi combination is a bargain!Sitting at the counter in front of the chefs, customers would be rewarded ocassionally by sushi samples as the chefs prepare dishes for different customers. This is a favorite lunch spot for the local defense workers from NPS and former Ft. Order. The ambience is that of a comfortable, relax dining experience. My only wish the lighting could have been just a bit brighter toward the back end of the dining area.I would recommend this establishment heartily to everyone!
Harumi
1760 Fremont Blvd #4, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
My go to Japanese restaurant around town. To be honest, I would not go anywhere else if I want my Japanese fix in the local area. Yeah, sure there are other Japanese restaurants for others, but for locals this is the place. The food is fair priced but the quality is definitely there. They serve A LOT of food. The waiters and waitresses were awesome as well. Great ambiance with great food. It can’t get any better.
Kokoro Ramen & Roll
880 Broadway Ave C-5, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
Super delicious Ramen and sushi! My husband and I decided to check out Kokoro as he loves Ramen and I'm a big fan of sushi. He got the karage and Tonkatsu Ramen regular spicy and I got the red dragon roll added cream cheese and a shoyu ramen. I loved my ramen and sushi they were so delicious. Most ramen we've eaten has a chasu roll instead of strips of meat like Kokoro. We were pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture of the pork strips, they were so tasty! Overall we loved the ramen but the spice was not evenly distributed through the spicy ramen. The first bite was very spicy but the ramen got less spicy as he got towards the bottom of the bowl.I loved my Red dragon roll with the purple rice! The purple rice tastes the same as regular rice but adds a cool visual effect. The sushi was so good but it had just a bit too much cream cheese. In the future I'd say I only want a little bit of cream cheese added. The chicken karage pieces were HUGE and definitely worth the cost. They came with a lemon aioli.Lastly, while the servers were very nice we did have to ask for things often. We asked for water when we ordered our food and I had to ask again once our food was served as we still hadn't gotten our water. I had to ask twice for a refill as well. We also had to ask for soy sauce for our sushi. To make it easier on the servers we thought it would make sense to keep soy sauce at the tables. Another thing some restaurants do is give the table a small pitcher of water. While there was some struggles we're taking them with a grain of salt as the restaurant just opened and everyone is figuring things out. The food was so delicious and we can't wait to go again. Fingers crossed Kokoro is here to stay! This is now our favorite ramen shop on the peninsula.

Kims Oriental Market
777 Broadway Ave, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
Ive been going here for a long time, and its got almost everything for Korean / Japanese food recipes. Even stuff for Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese recipes. They even have Sun noodle ramen. However, sometimes, their customer service is lacking. The one lady I used to see always is great. But, now, Im seeing more other Korean ajimas, and theyre kinda mean and not so nice.
Sushi Time
1153 Fremont Blvd, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
Pretty decent sushi. Prices were alright. Beers were ridiculously priced but its a sushi joint not a bar so i guess it is what it is. Tiny lil spot, nothing fancy at all.Service was ok. Took a bit to get going with drinks (h2o) despite it being slow but, the staff was courteous except for one gal wearing a mask, she seemed grumpy.Bathroom’s definitely could use attention.Would I recommend this spot, ya i guess, but we didn’t visit the other local sushi spots so i dont have any other local spots to compare it to.Mediocre at best compared to all the other sushi/Japanese restaurants I’ve visited throughout California.?
Congo Go Restaurant
800 Broadway Ave Star. A1, Seaside, CA 93955, United States
We were craving boba and decided to give Congo Go a try. The thing I loved the most is that they make their syrups and boba fresh in house. Thats literally unheard of given todays quick serve world and makes boba a lot more guilt free knowing its NOT loaded with a ton of high fructose corn syrup and other processed items. They also make their snacks and desserts in house, from scratch too. We loved the crispy egg rolls (full of flavor and made with healthier turkey), popcorn chicken and the fresh made mochi donuts. Weve had mochi donuts from popular chains in past and these were in a different league! The dough was soft and chewy and the matcha glaze was melty and warm. The chef / owner and staff are super friendly and takes their time to talk through their menu and make recommendations. They are planning to bring more authentic food options soon. Ill definitely be back to try that and more snacks and drinks.
