Been trying to find a good local Chinese food, as I just moved to Sunnyvale this year. This place was really great! The food was great, the hospitality was great, loved it!! I will definitely be returning in the future and will be recommending this place to others!I got the half and half with pork(beef?) fried rice and chow mein, garlic chicken and sweet and sour pork . DELICIOUS!!!!

Yummie Vegetable 🥕 🥦 Fried Rice 🍚, Rice Noodles 🍜, Garlic 🧄 Broccoli & Cabbage with Tofu which I rarely rarely eat. Fairly good make sure tell them plenty of hot oil highly recommended. Vegetable egg rolls are the best of best out of everything.

I used to live in the area and visit frequently, it’s the best Chinese take out ever. Great taste, and they pack in so much food. Now that I moved to the other side of the bay, my boyfriend and I still plan trips to come out here once in a while to get this as a treat.

I love Chinese food and Woks On! Express is my favorite spot in Sunnyvale, CA. They are a family own, small fast food restaurant. They have a wide selection of food to select from. All meals included a soup, my favorite is hot and sour. My favorite items here is the chicken chow mien, sweet and sour pork, and Mongolian beef. Ask for the chilli oil, the sauce is literally FIRE! 🔥 🔥 They are also very generous with the portions. I love flirting with the ladies for an extra scoop! 🤣😂. Used to eat here once a week way back in the day 2004-2006 and even before the place burned down whenever that was i forget, long story short this place has went downhill the fried rice was straight BOO BOO, sweet and sour pork is kinda rubbery and my favorite tein phu beef is super basic now as well overall prob last time we eat here especially for 41$

I do not recommend it. The garlic chicken lacked garlic flavor and had overly sweet meat. I ordered a dish with three toppings, but only two were included in the takeout box. I brought it up at the cashier, but the elderly man did not understand what I was saying. Regardless, I paid for it, but I would not recommend it to anyone.

Once a formerly great place for some affordable tasty eats but sadly is now just a shadow of itself. They were closed for a year after a kitchen fire then Covid hit and they just don’t seem to be able to find their groove again. Pricey combo plate of tough and hard to chew garlic chicken and possibly the worse king pao I have eaten. Truly sad cause this was a easy eat there twice a week place for me.

On top of this being a rundown place, with grumpy service that wont accommodate the slightest (I asked for a paper cup vs stirofoam), food was not not fresh.Vegetable fried rice was the only good item I could finish eating.Stir fried eggplant was spoiled before it was cooked. It tasted rotten.Similar to kung Pao chicken, zucchini started to ferment so the taste was off.All that for $15 plus the tip its asked for at the checkout.With all the ample choices in this area, needless to say I wont be back to the Delicious Chinese Food.

They give you so much food! Theyre so nice and pile on the good stuff. I wish they had their sesame chicken in the express line, however I order it every time and its always so fresh and delicious I cant fault them for not having it on the steam table.I was so glad when they were able to reopen and then the shutdown happened so we try and go as often as we can to help support and let them know how happy we are they are back!

Post-reopening update: Initial reviews after this place re-opened indicated that the food tasted subtly different.While I can corroborate this experience, in the time since its re-opened the taste has gone mostly back to normal. This place remains my favorite and signature Chinese Takeout place in Sunnyvale. The Salt and Pepper chicken is crack.

Very good Chinese food !!! The best EGG FLOWER SOUP. The downfall is that even when you havent finished ordering, the owners are eaguer, or too pront to charge you. They dont let you finish your order in a timely manner, even when is not too busy, even when is only you. They make you feel rushed. Is kind of uncomfortable. However their food is delicious, is worthy to go there !!! I recommend this place. Their food is 5 stars !!!

Huge heaping portions of pretty darn tastey chinese food. Expect about $14 ish a person, but it honestly feels youre getting two meals worth of food (unless youre a glutton for the stuff as I am).I personally love the Mongolian chicken/beef best. This place is pretty good. The portions are large for the price. There is a ton of variety, including veggies, beef, seafood, chicken and pork options. I went around 6 pm and none of the dishes were empty, they were constantly bringing out fresh food. The food is decent, better than Panda Express, and the workers were friendly and efficient.In regards to COVID-19 practices, all the employees were masked and gloved, customers were at least 6 feet apart, when I signed the receipt there was a jar for both sanitized and used pens.

Best Chinese combos for the price. Food is fresh, not salty and the little couple that runs it are adorable! They have 2 different kinds of rice... and chow mein in the stream table.... and they make these vermicelli noodles that are am amazing addition and a very tasty change from chow mein if youd like to try something different. I hope the leave it to someone who will carry it on foot a long time.

Ordered twice from here between last month and recently both times orders delivered were hot, fresh and good sized portions for price. The only item none of us cared for was the sweet and sour soup and the lemon chicken was a bit chewy. Other than that the sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef, bbq fried rice, vegetable roll, and our favorite of them all the kung pao chicken were all delicious. I hope they maintain the quality and we will keep ordering from here.

Woks On is the staple of Americanized Chinese food for me. The food not super high quality but good enough that you dont really care. In particular, the noodles or rice you get at the beginning if pretty good. Definitely better than Panda Expresss. Sadly, thats really the best part. The meats are a little dry but absolutely covered with sauce, which is actually what I want some times. The soups (which come free) are really bland.Personally Id like to see more veggie options but overall Woks on is alright food that really fills my need for Chinese food sometimes.

Weve tried a few Chinese food places since moving to the area, and this is easily the best so far. Everything we had (Sesame Chicken, Lemon Chicken, PFR) was great. The only qualm I have is that the free delivery requires a $30 min order, which is a bit steep compared to other establishments. On the other hand, the take out order we placed was ready in five minutes, so if you can dash over it makes for a pretty fast experience.From their menu (5/2008), their hours are:Sun-Thu 11am-9pmFri-Sat 11am-10pmAddendum: Instead of ordering from their delivery menu, we recently tried just walking in and buying from their from the pre-cooked area in the restaurant. It wasnt quite as good - our current theory is that the delivery menu food is cooked to order, so it is a bit fresher.

Was so excited to see them reopen. We went in and asked for chicken chow mein. The lady grabbed a bunch of veggie chow mein and moved it from the veggie tray to the chicken tray and then moved it into our container. I asked her about it and she denied it. So odd, since there was no subterfuge on her part. Wasnt worth a fight, so we just accepted veggie and moved on. We walked out after she refused to give us chicken chow mein when a new tray came out a few seconds later.Too bad, I had good memories of this place. As far as fast Chinese Food this is the best by far in the area. You can eat there, or take it out but in either case they give you alot of good food. The food is hot and always fresh. I have been there alot anf the food has never been bad, they are polite and happy to help you. You can order from the items in front of you at the counter or from the menu on the front wall. The food is as good as most sit down chinese restuarants and is cheaper.
