2023-11-21 07:21:20I LOVE THIS PLACE. Not only is their sushi affordable compared to the other sushi places in the area, but it is also so delicious. I am a big fan of any version of their dragon roll; however, this time I got the mango crunch roll (which I highly recommend). Service is also amazing & super fast. Definitely a must go to. :)

2023-11-03 03:46:33While the lunch specials are pretty reasonable, I can’t say that it tasted like authentic Japanese food. The miso soup was watery (katsuo or shiitake or kelp broth?) The saba was not as flavorful as other local establishments. The California roll had a strong mayo flavor as did the salad dressing. Gyoza was like fried Aji-nomoto frozen dumplings. I was hoping for the hot tea to be sencha but it was hojicha. Appearance of the place is very good and the plating is very attractive. Service was also very good.

2023-08-12 15:37:25Delicious tempura mixed plate, Naked Lady, Dragon Roll, Sexy Lady Roll (lots of fun roll names) - ask for Ji, he works Friday nights and lunch the rest of the week. A little heavy on the lettuce for some of the side/appetizer dishes - Fun, edgy vibe with insulated metal tea mugs and glass Mason jars for water

2023-01-31 02:19:53My boyfriend and I have been here 4 times and every single time it has been better than the last. We are very particular about the fish quality and overall food quality and this place has been solid. Yoshi Sushi has been a great addition to downtown Los Altos and its so awesome that they are also open pretty late!We went here for dinner yesterday and the quality of the fish and the yakitori was amazing! We got the smoking sashimi platter, warrior role, shitaki mushroom skewer, chicken yakitori, and another role that had lemon on it. The sashimi was super fresh and came on a Himalayan salt block and was smoked with apple wood. This was super unique and very delicious. The chicken yakitori was honestly the best Ive ever had.On top of all the great food, the service is always super friendly, inviting and attentive. They put effort into remembering us every time and that makes the experience even more enjoyable. I really hope they can thrive and stay consistent because its so nice to have a late night food option in Los Altos again.

2022-10-28 02:40:43Sad to learn Akane closed, but curious about its successor Yoshi Sushi. Tried the standard nigiri set, sashimi salad, and salmon teriyaki lunch plate. Pretty solid: Good portion size, tasty. Will be back soon to try the rest of their cooked and raw menu. Vibe is quiet, good for gathering with small groups of friends and family. Kudos to staff for a very clean bathroom, which I appreciate.Update: Tried the omakase sushi. It was quite good.

2023-11-15 23:48:23I love sushi. I tried this place out and was instantly disappointed. I usually love big rolls but this roll was huge and way too much of the ingredients were stuffed on top. They mix white rice with brown rice which is really awkward to eat since both have different textures. Also; they add peas to their curry. Price was decent but please stick to original Japanese recipes. The remix was not good.
