Crustacean Restaurant Beverly Hills - Brunch, L...

Last night I had the pleasure of dining at Crustacean, an Asian Fusion restaurant in the heart of Beverly Hills. The decor inside is beautiful and beneath the walkways are clear cut outs revealing large, majestic koi swimming right under your feet.My meal began with a dainty Caviar Potatoe Tot  and Roasted Bone Marrow topped with Escargot Brunois over Garlic Baguettes. The caviar left more to be desired. Honestly, all I could taste was the potato tot. However, the bone marrow was exquisite, which made up for the miss with the caviar.Entrées included a glorious roasted whole Maine Lobster with Ans Famous Garlic Noodles and the Braised Lamb Shank Special. The lobster and noodle combination was to die for! The lobster claws had been removed from the shell fully intact and the tail meat easily slid out. The cook and seasoning was spot on. And the noodles. . . ohmygoodness, the noodles! They were delicious. The garlic flavor was marvelous and not overpowering at all. I can see why they are part of the Special Kitchen Selections. The lamb shank was extremely tender and flavorful. A little gamey for me, but first-rate nonetheless.I throughly enjoyed my evening and look forward to dining here again. For more food reviews and pictures follow me on Instagram @Aimee.Eats_

Serving humble, creative and comforting food like garlic noodles (w parmigiano) and KBBQ tacos. One of the best Asian fusion restaurants you can find!

Met up with friends for dinner at this spot & it was an excellent dining experience overall. A nice little bar & a great outdoor seating option. We ordered family style and got the Peking duck wraps(solid flavor, crispy and the sauce was delicious), Mongolian beef(cooked perfectly and solid flavor), Salt pepper Pork chop(great taste but not as seasoned as I'd like it to be but still good), Salt pepper shrimp(excellent dish overall), Kung Pao chicken(solid offering) & the Poach cod(cooked perfectly and somewhat healthy compared to the other dishes). For dessert and my friends birthday they gave us tiramisu along with a chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was delicious but too rich and heavy for me. The tiramisu was on point and my favorite. Definitely the best tiramisu I've tasted. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal with excellent “people watching” opportunities. Great customer service and I definitely will come back. I recommend this spot.

Ubereats Review :Portion sizes are hit or miss. Food is fantastic, but you don't know if they're gonna skimp or not. I'm never ordering them again personally, even tho I've ordered a few times.

Once we knew we would be heading to the greater LA area for midwinter vacation this year. I asked all my West Coast friends about what the hottest restaurants were on this side of the world. Across the board the response was La Gondola. So out first full day in LA we found ourselves at La Gondola for dinner. I didnt really want to go for a very heavy dish like a 32 ox. steak so we decided to try a bunch on entrees and some drinks. As I walked in, I was surprised at how big the restaurant is. Jonathan greeted us at the door and wished us happy anniversary. Their attention to detail was astounding. Each table has a small menu with the specials of the night with appetizers, entrees and desserts. Their menu was very extensive with several pages full of options. We started off with two drinks. One called the Trio which had mango, strawberry and pina colada. It was non alcoholic and my daughter LOVED it. I got a really cool drink called the smoke show which came under a glass dome and had been smoked. It was quite the presentation. The drink was made with passion fruit and lime juice with some tequila. It was smoked with some oak wood. besides being nice to look at it tasted AMAZING. The drink is usually a little spicy and made with jalapenos. For appetizers we started with the spicy tune crispy rice. I have been salivating about these on Instagram for the last few months and was very excited to finally get to try it. They were as amazing as expected. Fresh fish with amazing sauce on top of crispy rice. The textures blended together and made for an umami of flavor. Then we had the candied beef bacon, with a mango chutney on the side. Now the bacon was crunchy and delicious. I expected it to be overly sweet and was surprised that it wasnt, which made it all the more enjoyable. Next was four crispy bacon chicken sliders with a slaw on a pretzel bun. These were delicious. Four perfect mouth bites where each ingredient blended together. We also ordered the highly acclaimed Goldola Street Corn which was whole charred corn with chipotle mayo tajine cilantro and vegan parmesan cheese. I have had a lot of corn rib dishes, and this one is up there. We also tried the Beef Tinga Roll with chipotle mayo. It was some amazing shredded beef with chipotle wrapped in a crispy eggroll skin and a side of chipotle mayo. It had a little kick to it and I really enjoyed it. The eggroll skin was coated with some fine powder of spices with only added some depth to the dish. After all that we just wanted to split a small main, one of the specials of the day. We decided to go with the skirt steak coffee pepper rub over a fresh corn salad with a side of chimichurri and some fries and green salad. The steak was cooked to perfection. When I ate a piece with the corn salad it gave the steak a sweetness that I never experienced before. We really enjoyed the main.To close out the night on a high note we tried another special, a dessert. We went with the passion fruit mango tart with mixed berries on the side and the creme fraiche. It was new on the menu and we wanted to try it out. We were not disappointment. The fruit flavors of the tart with the amazing crust paired with the fresh fruit jelly on the side was amazing. Flavors bursted in my mouth and my palate was in food heaven. Now I understand why La Gondola is so high on everyones list. It will be on mine to, till next visit.

My first Wolfgang Puck restaurant dining. Expensive for a “meh” experience. I don’t know why ginger is prominent ingredient just because its Asian fusion. I had the veal which I felt was well done although I ordered medium. Only interesting dish was butternut chawanmushi which had generous portion of uni.We were table of 2 and unfortunately seated right next to busy service area. The floor boards were constantly shaking! I was given free dessert for that unpleasant experience. Overall we were not impressed. Wouldn’t be looking to go to another Wolfgang restaurant unless invited .

How do I start this, this is such a Huge disappointment! Low quality NON Authentic Japanese food experience. Think Fusion at its lowest quality. I spent $200 for an 8 course omakase and not even ONE single item was good. First course a veggie hand roll. Really just veggies seaweed, Cucumber, carrot, avocado and sesame dressing. Nothing special.2nd course Tuna tartar with caviar soaked in Ginger soy sauce, tuna tartar at BJ tasted the same as this... 3rd course nigiri 4 pieces (red snapper, toro, ikura, sardine) 4th- 6 pieces of Heavily sauced paperthin sashimi that is so salty, you cant tell what the fish is... first type of Paperthin sashimi has Yuzu sauce with bell peppers on it, the second paperthin sashimi has olive oil and red salt on it, the third one has oh yeah again yuzu sauce with Sriracha.... We should stop the courses right at this point....The sashimi is the worst fusion mix of overly oil, sauced, salted, sashimi I have ever had. I mean really who put oil and seasoning salt on sashimi so thin that all the sauce over powering the fish.... Believe me, the small sushi stand in the supermarkets taste better than this. And, again, one sashimi is red snapper again. 5th course-3 pieces of sashimi salad they Called it. The so call baby Artichoke that was not freshly chopped because the edges was Turing brown ... unpleasant to see and taste plus its so hard feel like chewing on cardboard. The three piece of Sashimi with again ginger soy sauce over powering everything pieces of fish.... Everything at this point taste the same. With the repeating overpowering sauces. Next is Fried softshell crab with overpowering vinegar Bell pepper sauce. An very badly twisted/ take of the sweet and sour sauce from Chinese food... the Vinegar taste over powered everything also was super salty. Next the sizzling hot plate of super salty oily toro. This dish was so bad we send it back because it smelled and tasted so bad. I Took one bite, the salty regular soy sauce taste they used as base was so salty I couldnt take a second bite. We had to send the dish back they remade it for us... still .... Lets move on, Next was Macha Soba, soba was not so special, soy sauce based with a bit of Bitter taste because of the Matcha and raw green onions....and last two was ice cream and shaved ice. Yes, Macha flavored, Looks ok, taste really sweet... just go JP supermarket randomly buy an ice cream will taste better. I really want a refund...the after taste of the soy sizzling Toro was so fishy and bad, I threw up when I got home. And, needed to go shower to get rid of the fishy taste and smell. Nothing about this meal is worth the money. One more thing is The hot tea is hot, good! but, it was too hot for the servers to hold the cup. Therefore, they held the cup at rim, touching the rim of the cup...holding the cup at the rim where we drink from really dont feel Sanitary and professional to me at all. dont understand why they dont use a tray if its that hot...Overall, worsts overly price + overly salted + non Japanese like Food I ever had. If u r looking to eat fresh sashimi and sushi Do Not order the omakase its so far off of the jp Authentic style.AVOID! Be Smart. Read the one star reviews before u go... trap... money wasted and time wasted.

Ordered about $200 woth of take out last week thru door dash, was excited about it before it arrived, since the photos from other had posted looks decent. But, i tell you what, it was nothing but disappointment. We ordered 6 items.1. the wonton soup, are you serious? it had some noodles on the bottom of the soup, obviously, the chef didnt care to rinse of the equipment before cooking next order.2.the boneless rib, let me tell what, its for sure not ribs, it was pork with lots of fat in it, and for sure it wasnt fresh to make, the lean part of the meat was so over fired, that usually occur on meat thats pre-fired and fired again when there is an order.3. the steam king crab, not to mentioned thats a $45 item, it has 1 crab leg chop into 6 pieces, it was salty as hack, the noodles on the bottom was so hard.4.shrimp toast- buddy, let me suggest use change your deep fryer oil more often, cos your old oil is making your fired food very very oily5. the tofu dish, thats probably the only dish we dont have much problem with, but its so tasteless, i had to just pour some soy to go with.6. The pineapple fired rice, thats probably the item that upset me the most, its a $20 fired rice, you cant even use some quality material? and the rice, you should know better to use overnight cool off rice in order to dehydrated the moist from the rice.Overall, what upset me the most was i thought i finally find a quality Chinese restaurant base they have the nerve charge that kind of high price.Which Im fine with paying the price, but when you cant deliver a quality thats equivalent to that price, i will have a problem.I would not suggest anyone to go this restaurant unless they some serious change, thats such a disgrace to the Chinese cuisine name.FYI, Im a Chinese and had owned 5 restaurants.
