Last night on Christmas Eve we placed an online order. Then we were sent an email 30 minutes later saying that the food was ready. We showed up and the food was not ready and there were dozens of people waiting for food. After waiting for two hours we finally left. We were supposed to be spending time with family Christmas Eve not waiting inside of a restaurant for food that never came. Some had been there for two and a half hours and still hadnt gotten their food.As over 30 people stood in the restaurant watching them bring food ready to go and setting it on the counter, the food just sat there (picture attached) and wasnt passed out to the customer that ordered it. We all kept trying to ask them to tell us who the food belonged to but they were all too busy to stop and listen to us or check the food. It just sat there. Then 15 - 20 minutes later theyd take a quick glance at it. It was very frustrating. And many people got so frustrating, like us, that they left.CA Wok knew it was Christmas Eve and that they are usually busy and yet they werent prepared. They were understaffed and it was all poorly managed. They should have had one person just answering the phone and dealing with the online orders, one person just giving out the food to the customers as it was ready, and at least 2-3 people taking payments, checking to see when food would be ready, and dealing with customers. They did everything wrong and made customers waste time in their restaurant instead of enjoying the evening with family.
TeriyakiBowlandBurger.2 Encino

This place is even better than their first location!! My fiancé and I have been OG fans of Teriyaki Bowl & Burger and are so happy they opened this new location. It has ton of seating, tvs, and a patio with heaters. Plus they validate parking! The food is 10/10. Everything is good. I get the Chicken Teriyaki Fries and it is a huge portion! Their sauce is on point too.Appetizers are a hit! Onion rings, waffle fries, and zucchini was super tasty.Plus this location has cocktails & beer!! Their strawberry mojito was really good. Beer on draft is good too! This place is a must try!!! The owner is the nicest guy and the staff is super friendly. It is great to support our local community.

Came here since my friend highly recommended the place. It was lunch hour so I pointed to and said Id like to order the fried chicken Pad Thai. Ive been told in the past that you can tell the quality of a location by this staple dish. When the order came, I got chicken sauteed instead. I corrected the waitress (a middle aged Thai lady), telling her I ordered the fried chicken, not the sauteed one on a stick. She gives me this look and says you order number 21, fried chicken is number 22. I told her no, I never said any number (what is this, McDonalds?), I said fried chicken. She rolls her eyes at me and takes the dish away. When she brings back the new dish, the chicken was okay, nothing special, but the noodles were all dry and stuck together. It was literally the worst noodles Ive ever had, and made me feel like these were some day olds that were sitting out that were given to me (makes me wonder if the first plate wouldve tasted decent before I decided to correct the order). It was so bad that I couldnt eat more than two bites, so I left the rest of the noodles and decided to get the hell out of there. I decided to pay in cash as there was no way in hell I was giving a tip after that, and the lady slammed the change on the table after taking my bills. I never write a review about a place since I normally have average experiences, but this is the worst experience Ive ever had at a restaurant so I had to warn others. The food was so bad I even got the runs 30 minutes later and had to hastily get to a bathroom at a nearby Ralphs. My friend told me this was his favorite Thai place to dine at, but Ill never give my business to that location again after the attitude and food I experienced.
Hokkaido Seafood Buffet

I had a meal here with my kid at this self serve buffet. Our bill was about $27. I left a decent tip of $8--high for a buffet but I wanted to thank my waiter who was friendly and so I left it in cash. The head waitress/manager came over and took the bill and tip while were still eating. I though she could have waited till we were done. The issue came when as we were leaving the restaurant my kid wanted to play that Claw game where you grab a stuffed animal for $1.00This head waitress was standing behind us watching us. The machine ate the money and the game wouldnt start. Since she was there and saw what happened I asked her if she could help us. She replied that she couldnt help us and even implied that I should have known not to put my money in the machine because there was a funny light on the dash of the machine.I asked if she could ask a manager to help us and her response was that she was the manager and she was adamant that she wasnt going to reimburse or look into this any further, and she simply walked away. FYI: The reason I asked a manager was that a year ago a similar thing happened and the manager at that time simply gave us a dollar to replay the other side of the machine (there are two sides of the machine you can play on). Ive been to this restaurant about a half a dozen times in the past 2 years.I even told her that I left a decent tip for my waiter (which she ended up taking) and that couldnt she help us with a $1.00 issue. She said my point had nothing to do with the tip I just left (which she pocked I have to say again). Perhaps shes right but I was just trying to see if it would help so I mentioned it.If you want to experience dismissive customer service I would urge you to come to Hokaido Buffet of Encino.
