Mint Leaf Cuisine
14420 Big Basin Wy, Saratoga, CA 95070, United States
The Pad Thai is so delicious! They serve in a large portion which is satisfying. The atmosphere is unlike most Asian restaurants and is quiet, soft and easy. I instantly fell into this Thai fusion restaurant. They also have various options for vegetarian dishes. The interior design is elegant and beautiful. The service is really nice as well. I can see why this place is popular in the town

GOGA
14443 Big Basin Wy Unit C, Saratoga, CA 95070, United States
Hidden culinary gem tucked away behind the UPS store on Big Basin Way Saratoga, in the back public parking. A chef d’oeuvre of Continental, Asian Fusion and Nouvelle cuisine. Chef Brad and his wife, Helen do not disappoint with mouth-watering, succulent food and warm personalized table service. Goga resembles a simple Parisian neighborhood restaurant; wife is the maitre’d, husband is the chef serving a prefix meal prepared with the freshest daily “find” discovered at market. I was delighted by my delectable 4 course prefix dinner; fresh crab cakes delightfully crispy, fresh fish with squash, wagyu beef-all came with amazing sauces. The final course was a warm chocolate cake so moist it melted in my mouth. Small, unpretentious restaurant with 6-7 tables, high top bar over looking the kitchen, prefix dinner, ala carte menu, lunch, brunch and a nice wine list. Once discovered this treasure will be in high demand and reservations will be hard to get.
Fire Wings
1010 El Paseo de Saratoga, San Jose, CA 95130, United States
I've been to the Paseo Fire Wings, a handful of times, and everyone there is always incredibly helpful since they have so many different sauces/dry rubs to choose from. It always takes me a while to choose! Lol. On occasion, I have asked employees which sauce they like and what they could recommend and they're always very helpful with asking. What types of flavors I choose to eat outside of the restaurant.I love their deals on Mondays, and Tuesdays where you can get boneless wings for $.85!I also love their outdoor seating area which is perfect for my puppies since it's fenced in and they're on a leash where we can watch the game with the windows peering into the restaurant.Im also obsessed with their new chicken sandwiches! I love the Louisiana chicken sandwich and then I add on the coleslaw. It gives it a nice, cool crunch! It's so spicy and delicious!! it's a foodie must try!!. I am definitely a fan and will be back again and again!
Momo Grill
12100 Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd, Saratoga, CA 95070, United States
This is our favorite restaurant for Tandoori Chicken Momo for more than couple of years. They also have a food truck named Momo Grill Food Truck (1204 Lawrence Station Rd, Sunnyvale, CA 94089) only thing is they dont serve Tandoori Momo here & have a limited menu but plus point is u can order via DoorDash delivery app.Unfortunately no DoorDash delivery for the restaurant Momo Grill which is at (12100 Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd, Saratoga, CA 95070) but u can do online order or phone orders which is very convenient too...This time we ordered-Tandoori Chicken Momo (8 pieces)- $ 15.99Frying the momo after steaming the momo in clay oven it comes with two sauces which are very flavorful & have a nice kick to it. Momos are very moist & fantastic taste.Chicken Chow Mein - $ 15.99Pan fried noodles with seasonal vegetables and if non-veg - slowly grilled chicken breast. We love their Chow Mein !!! always we feel like ordering 2 of it cant get enough of it ....We have tried many other dishes that they have to offer in our past visit dining in as well as take out like Lamb Tandoori Momo, Steamed Chicken Momo, Steamed Veggie Momo, Chicken Lollipop, Veg Kathi Roll, Chicken Boti Kabob, Paneer Shashilik, Eggplant Heaven, Lamb Boti Kabob, Chicken Fried Rice etc.... Everything tasted great, best part is u can inform them about ur spice preference & they accommodate it very happily.Till now we have taken many close friends & family members here & everyone enjoyed their food as well as their service. We have been regularly going here for our Tandoor Chicken Momo & Chicken Chow Mein cravings we have never been disappointed with their taste & quality of food.We have tried many other restaurant but we always come back here. We love it !!!! Hope u too will enjoy it as much as we do.
Udon Mugizo
1072 Saratoga Ave, San Jose, CA 95129, United States
This place was awful from the moment we entered the door. Unbearably loud music, coupled with a few other annoyances, makes this a place I wont go back to.A friend of mine, and I, used to enjoy Ringerhut, which was at the same premises, before Udon Mugizo bought the place. We had remembered a nice, quiet Japanese diner with reasonable prices. The new establishment, Udo Mugizo, was none of that. The music was unbearably loud from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. It was this thumpa-thumpa-thumpa pop that we measured at an average of 80 decibels using my phones decibel app. And, it spiked well above that to 95! We had gone out for an evening of talking and eating, but we got no talking done. It was just too darn loud to hear each other. We could barely hear the wait staff. We asked them to turn it down, and they politely took our request to management, but we must have been outvoted, because the music never went down. Everybody in the place was yelling, but I dont blame them, because you had to be heard. Trouble is that that only added to the noise.Right in the door, the hostess talked so fast we could barely understand her. When we asked her to slow down, she aid, oh sure, and continued to talk a mile a minute. When we asked for a table for two, she told us to enter a phone # in her ipad and said theyd call us when a table was ready. Nice tech, but not the way I would have handled it. I think a classier thing to do would have been to say, theres a 15 minute wait. Youre welcome to wait here in the lobby, or, if youll give us your phone #, wed be happy to call you when a table becomes available. They charge $2.50 for tea. Not a sin, but many of us assume that tea is complementary at Japanese restaurants. The food was good, though my curry donburi was saltier than I like it. That item is only $6, which is a great price. The udon was $15 on up. They also dont have any wheat-free noodle soup dishes, which is difficult for someone like me whos allergic to wheat. I knew, going in, that it was an udon place (which is wheat noodles), but usually places like that offer soba, which is buckwheat noodles (which I can eat -- buckwheat is not wheat -- its a separate, gluten free grain).Theres a special place in hell for patrons who give money to restaurants that blast their music. Loud music is for bars, night clubs, and restaurants with dance floors (which this place didnt have). My advice to management is to turn the music way down and switch to jazz. If they want something Japanese, theres nothing wrong with Keiko Mitsui or Kitaro. My ears are still ringing and Im sick to my stomach from the noise.
Darla Cafe
14572 Big Basin Wy, Saratoga, CA 95070, United States
I already knew this was a great brunch spot but their dinner menu is also very underrated! I was surprised when my friend suggested we go here for dinner instead of brunch but the hotate scallops, bulgogi fries, burrata salad, corn ribs and mango sticky rice were delicious and beautifully presented. Portion size on all the dishes was good so my husband practically had to roll me out of the restaurant afterward, I was so full. Love the creative Asian fusion twists on all the dishes. I also enjoyed their creative low ABV cocktails and they had a decent wine list. If you are someone who likes a stiffer drink, Flowers is literally right across the street so you could start there at the bar and then wander over to Darlas for dinner in a larger and less crowded space (my personal restaurant vibe preference). Thank you for a great dinner!
Himalayan Magic Masala
1600 Saratoga Ave #203, San Jose, CA 95129, United States
We were in the area & had 45 mins to spare so thought of grabbing a quick early dinner.... Our first choice was sushi but unfortunately they were closed at that time (4 pm) so thought of trying HMM ...They have opened just less than a month ago .... Restaurant was empty so had the place to ourselves... they have various options to choose from.... We love Nepali cuisine so knew their dishes very well...Quickly gave our order & was enjoying the ambience listening to Bollywood music & Nepali songs...Restaurant has nice decorations & upon chatting with the owners sister came to know they are fairly new...We ordered-Chicken Momo with Jhol- I requested them to give me pipping hot since it was very chilly outside which they obliged very happily.Usually the jhol (sauce/chutney) comes lukewarm or room temperature.Chicken Chowmein medium spicy- it was our regular noodles but the chili sauce made a vast difference to the taste... I enjoyed it very much.Traditional Nepali Thali with Goat- we love Nepali Thali very much u get to taste various things like the black eye peas curry vegetable, green leafy vegetables likeBok Choy, goat curry, dal ( yellow dal) which was delicious, my most favorite pickle potato, peas with mustard & some carrots, cucumber slices, rice & flatbread (roti) with papad.Everything was delicious... only thing I found that some pieces of goat meat was very chewy due to the muscle so had little difficulty ...this usually happens when there are different parts of meats mixed.... Usually I prefer the leg pieces. Other then that everything was very good.We loved all the flavors, we managed to finish the Thali between both of us & tasted few bites of noodles & little bit of momos rest we packed for later...Service was very good we will come back here to try their other food choices from the menu.
Bar Bay Grill
375 Saratoga Ave Suite H, San Jose, CA 95129, United States
Came here Saturday afternoon around 3:30pm, the place is empty with only a few tables occupied. Lots of TV all around the restaurant with a bar in the middle. They were running a special with beer while the Warrior game is on, but you will have to stay until the end of the game. Customer service is 5-star - on point and attentive. My water glass is constantly filled and they clear out the empty plates Ninja style. Food is 4-star as I prefer my grill dishes to have a bit more charred (not overcooked). Love the grill squid especially. Entire bill comes to $50, not too bad for what we have ordered. I know this place is packed at night and the atmosphere is different. So if you want to avoid the crowd, come in the afternoon!
Paris Baguette
685 Saratoga Ave #10, San Jose, CA 95129, United States
Meh, I was expecting a better experience and better quality based on prior visits to other locations. The person who started to take my order was obviously new. She was nervous but not incompetent, she hesitated for a millisecond when I started to place my order. Her trainer or possibly just a more experienced coworker jumped in and started inputting my order nudging her out of the way. STRIKE ONE! I was willing to be understanding with the new employee but she wasnt given the opportunity to take my order. The trainer got my order wrong and had to be corrected twice to get it right. STRIKE TWO!I ordered the breakfast omelet, odly it came with a side salad and a fruit salad. STRIKE THREE! At other Paris Baguette locations I have ordered this item it came with a choice of croissant or other similar pastry and fruit salad. The omelet was served nice and hot but had so much cheese, almost more cheese than egg, in it that it overpowered the other flavors. The egg had an odd flavor and texture, sort of grainy, mushy and stringy all at the same time. The taste I recognized as that of milk carton eggs that have been alowed to reach room temperature and then chilled again. The tomatoes in the side salad were unappetizing, otherwise the salad was fine as well as the fruit salad.I also ordered a cheese danish. There was a sprinkling of what looked like rock salt on the pastry that turned out to be almost flavorless sugar granules, these added nothing but calories to the danish. The pastry portion of the danish was overcooked on the surface and undercooked inside.Another annoying factor was the disrepair of the furnishings and the unclean floor. I had to try three different tables due to instability. All three were missing a foot and were wobbly. All in all, not a stellar experience!
