Red Flame Restaurant

I was so excited to try this place. The ramen, noodles, and steaks looked so good in the pics but based on the noodles we recieved and the steak I ate, it was just great photography. I ordered a rib eye steak that was no more than 3/8ths of an inch thick. If I had gone to stater i brothers for a steak that size at 4.99 the pound, I probably wouldve paid less than 4 dollars. I asked for mashed potatoes and received the type of mashed potatoes from the bag that only get water added to them. The gravy served with it went the same. Just terrible. The shrimp from my wifes noodles were chewy and tense, Im sure its from coming out the freezer. (Any one that cooks knows what Im talking about) the noodles were super dry but great flavor of garlic. Now the service. I wasnt asked what I wanted to drink so they gave me water instead, and was only refilled once out of the hour and 30 mins that I was with the cup. The same guy that walked past me 5 times before, asked me on his 6th round if I wanted a refill (I was already done with my steak, my wife and baby were done with the noodles, we were waiting for someone to come with the check) when I recieved my steak I asked the person for more steak sauce since I was only given a little and his response was it is right there (in a small plastic cup that barely had any in it.) I emptied it out in front of him to get some more but he had walked away immediately after his response. When he came around again, I asked him for more steak sauce and a person that was no where near to hear my request came out with it, so I know he went back there talking crap. Two tables that were seated after us and of more people In their party received their food quicker than us. Our food came out with that of a third party that was seated after us. While we waited a waitress came to do idk what but she ended up spilling the water on my son, she sounded very regretful so we told her it was ok and helped her clean the table, my son enjoyed getting wet which is why we werent upset. But I would think after a screw up like that, better service would be given but nope, it wasnt. I dont know why I was given this nasty service but the only difference I saw between us and others is that we had a one year old who was playing with the spoons and blabbing. Even when the service in other places is questionable I give at least 10 percent of the check of tip or 6 dollars. Which ever is greater, but i honestly didnt think about leaving 1 dollar since no one continuingly check in on us. Terrible place of service for us, they can keep their free lemonade from Yelp.

Probably one of the few, traditional style Vietnamese restaurants out there that provided surprisingly amazing service that was thoughtful, considerate, and warm-welcoming; not to mention the food was delicious and did not feel heavy on the MSG. Additionally, as locals all know, the addition of free Nouc Mat (translated literally as liquid of refreshment and is a sugarcane pressed beverage), was just icing on the cake; all things considered, especially with how awesome our server was.I had the Bò lúc lắc, which is the stir fry filet mignon, had a nice savory sauce that adhered to the beef in just the right amount, avoiding any judgements of being too saucy and flavored the beef just right to be enjoyed with the optional crispy rice (alternative to regular steam rice). Although it may be said the rice was a bit heavy handed, there was also plenty of beef to go alongside it which just makes it a great value. The story fry combination rice noodle had great flavor and was slightly too light for my heavier sodium tastes but for an average person Id guess its just right. From beginning to end, we were fortunate to come at a slower time and, while this place is known to be extremely crowded at peak hours and pre-COVID that meant lots of bodies stuffed into a tightly packed, crowded room, the now available outside dining tables provided a roomy, spacious, and under appreciated level of comfort, sort of dining environment, for enjoying our late lunch on a bright spring day. It was almost as if we were sitting at a mid-scale restaurants outdoor patio seating as maybe seen in rural parts of Vietnam.

I never write review but I must do it this time because it was very disappointing and bad experience we had with this restaurant. I took my 2 daughters there yesterday because of their ad. The snail and baked scallop dishes are just ok. My youngest daughter ordered a rotisserie chicken with baked rice (com chay ga roti). She waited for 25 minutes for her foods to come out. There were two pieces of chicken but both were still frozen inside (icy cold). The waiter brought it in and reordered her the same dish. This time it took 40 minutes for it to come out but the insides of the two pieces of chicken were less frozen but were still cold to the touch. I asked to speak to the manager and she offered to redo the dish without charging but I told her no and asked her to take the order of the check. My daughter left there still hungry. Id rather buy food at another restaurant for my daughter than waiting again after 1 hour and 15 minutes of how long we had been there. Who knew how much longer we had to wait for AGAIN and what kind of food my daughter would get AGAIN.The service here was bad too. When we first sat down at our table, the server dropped 2 meus on our table then walked away. I let my daughters look at the menus and I asked another waiter to provide me 1 more. Instead of giving it to me, he put it at a corner of the table opposite from me and walked away as well. The restaurant had only 5 tables filled at that time and they have lots of servers. They also messed up the orders of the table next to us. The waitress brought food that customers ordered to-go out for customers to eat there and one gentleman waited for 1 hour for his dish Bun Cha Ca Thang Long (grilled fish with noodles). He got so mad, kept cursing while eating. He left half of his food and told his friend that the servers did not deserve tips.

Pho Akaushi
9299 Bolsa Ave, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
4 stars for service and atmosphere/decor. 3 stars for Pho flavor/taste. Since this is more cater to Americans, they often check and ask if everything is okay. As far as the broth - too salty. Even with lime. Americanize Pho is what I call it. I don't mind tweaking it up a little from classic but it has to taste good.Compared to Bolsa area Pho 79 and Holic - I still like the traditional Pho with brisket, rare steak, tendon, and everything in-between plus the most important thing whether good or bad Pho is the BROTH - which is superior and “perfect” like a home-made 100% authentic how Pho broth should taste like that's probably cooked for endless hours with beef bones. And not salty. A huge bowl for the price of $13. And guess what, it tastes the SAME everyday, weeks, months, year, every time. Which is how it should be. They are able to hold up that quality standard that it does not taste bad or slightly different on one day, then good another day of the week. I appreciate I get the same taste no matter how many times I go. A good bowl of Pho there is so filling that you still want to eat even when you're stuffed while a not-so good bowl of Pho make you want to stop before you're full. But has to eat bc you're still hungry.A large bowl here is $19 which I never came across. That's too pricey for a bowl of Pho that's not quite reach expectation. Yes, we are Vietnamese who know what a good authentic bowl of Pho taste like. Again, this can pass for American/Caucasian and the rest foreign tongue but not quite satisfying to true Vietnamese eaters. Away from Bolsa area, this place can get away with that price of $15 regular - $19 large but hopefully, correct the broth please. I probably won't visit again. Even for the flaming wagyu. But I hope they will do well after fixing the broth. Yelp/Google reviews sometimes aren't entirely accurate unless reviewed by those who really know what good Pho taste like and especially when it's one's cultural food. That explained how I found this place due to the five stars but probably reviewed by foreigners. Sorry! I am quite an honest reviewer. But I want Businesses to take my criticism to correct so they can last a long time! ?I'm aware everyone has different levels of “good”. But I'm sure I had tasted the best, I can't settle for less.

The Cajun Islands

My wife and I ate here twice as she bought GroupOns and both times the crawfish was pretty bad. Weve tried viet canjun crawfish everywhere that we can. The seasoning sauce here has a awkward sweetness to it and their butter did not taste like butter. I usually try gumbo at every place that serves gumbo and what this place is trying to pass off as gumbo is a travesty. I think this is the first time I didnt finish the a bowl of gumbo anywhere as I couldnt force myself to eat it any further past a few scoops. Our waiter who was very nice suggested that we get a hardboiled egg tossed in there. It was nothing special, its just a hard boiled egg that you burn your fingers peeling and theres no cajun infused flavor in the egg unless you continually dip the egg in the sauce bag which was what I did. Yeah we get that crawfish is out of season right now which is why we chose to do half shrimp and half crawfish.Their swamp fries were ok, but it gets really oily really fast, we suspect that their oil isnt being cycled out often enough or theyre not waiting for it to get hot enough before cooking the fries. The second time we came here we tried the garlic butter fries and it was pretty much the same thing, really oily with garlic and parmesan cheese. The shrimp was ok, it was basically boiled shrimp that they dumped into their sweet cajun sauce. Over all it was an ok experience, was a clean place and staff were very friendly. The food is pretty terrible so well most likely not come back.

Yamas Teriyaki

Came here today for the first time, was craving teriyaki but did not want to pay $13+ A BOWL with barely any meat on it at more known food chains. What attracted me to this place was the amount of good reviews. Upon walking in, it was super clean..the guy taking my order was very nice & helpful. Ordered two plates (chicken/beef & another with chicken/beef/shrimp) and got a side of wontons for $24, the food/meat is hooked up & super good! The salad & fruit on my plate was fresh, the food looked just as amazing as it tasted. I also saw they have very affordable lunch specials.Definitely satisfied my teriyaki craving, will be coming back! Can't wait! Found my new teriyaki spot!!

Bleu Restaurant & Dancing
14160 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683, United States
The place has okay food and really bad service. I wouldnt necessarily call it a family friendly restaurant. Its literally just a club and a bar to me that tries to make extra income during the day as a restaurant. I noticed one of the waiters standing around staring outside the window. The food also took a long time to come out. We came in around 5 and it was completely empty but customers started coming in about an hour later. During that time though, I noticed lots of people coming in to take their take-out orders.I came here two more times and each time was worse. Went for mothers day and it was extremely packed that the employees had absolutely no idea what to do. We waited nearly 2 hours for our drinks to arrive and that was only after we repeatedly asked on multiple occasions. We ordered grilled catfish which was supposed to simultaneously come out with the greens, rice noodles and rice paper to wrap, but the rice paper also took about 2 hours to come out - by that time, the two fish we had ordered was already gone. On top of the restaurant being filled, they had an event going on - a famous Vietnamese singer had a performance there - which made things even worse as more people were coming in to see her performance. Staff was running around like headless chickens. It also seems that men work the daytime shifts and women dont start working after dark. They have pretty decent service when empty, but extremely terrible service when busy. Dont go unless you just want to go for the club. Dont even bother coming to eat in the restaurant. Not worth it. Completely disappointed.

Where do I begin? Stumbled upon this amazing place from instagram. I was like a little school girl who was going to wet her panties to be here. They have some interesting menu items I couldn't decide what I wanted to get. My main goal was to grab me an egg. This is what their known for. So I ordered their kumquat winter melon tea which tasted so refreshing. The tea had that citrusy taste, and followed behind it the wintermelon. So tasty. My friend ordered the crème brûlée Thai tea. It was really good like perfect amount of sweetness gave it an interesting flavor. Very smooth and buttery like. My partner ordered their signature rose tea jasmine green tea latte whom he said was really good. The aroma was very relaxing according to what he said. The bunny don't get me started about their signature dessert. It's basically agar agar with sea salt crème foam with strawberry honestly I was like oh chocolate but it's really refereshing everything together tasted really good perfect balance of sweet and salty. I couldn't help but giggle to see the bunny quivering as if it was shivering. Their pancakes are so fluffy. Nice buttery and smooth. If you decide to stop by this amazing cafe please do their super friendly, and patient. Super amazing staff. This place is so clean as well. Highly recommend this cafe. Stop by to check it out you won't be disappointed

Wow Spaghetti
7852 Westminster Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683, United States
Summary: outstanding service, delicious food, limited parking. Will come back.Service is above and beyond. Vincent took my order and answered all my questions about the menu thoroughly.I ordered the bolognese with meatballs and cheese, spicy chili garlic butter with wontons, and corn cheese. The spicy chili garlic butter is really spicy for me as I have low tolerance for spicy food. Lucky for me that I did not add more spiciness at step 3 -- thanks Vincent for the warning. The noodle is chewy, definitely not the Italian spaghetti type. The bolognese is a hit for my kids as they like to dip the toasted bread in the meat sauce while eating the noodle. Corn cheese is pretty much the typical Korean corn cheese.I read another comment saying that the portion is small. However, when I received the order, I was surprised that it was much more than I expected. I can split it into two meals or finish all at once with a full belly and having food coma (I would rather go with the former). The restaurant is bright and fill with light from all windows and doors. They have three tables outdoor and six indoor. If you have a large party, the only thing that would be issue is parking. They have limited parking on the side of the restaurant. Street parking is available on the other side of the restaurant, along the Pacific Ave and Westminster Blvd.Wow Spaghetti is worth a visit for pasta dishes with a Korean twist. Definitely will come back!
