Off the Hook Sushi
118 E Redwood Ave, Fort Bragg, CA 95437, United States
This review has been burning a ?️ in my pocket for a minute, having to work a real job has cramped my posting style. I was blessed to get a meal with my daughter when she returned for a quick visit from college. She/We wanted sushi so we chose Off the Hook, one I hadn't been to in many moons. Our pre basketball game treat began with edamame and miso soup, both perfect. I chose mackerel or Saba and the Durango roll for the soft shell crab. The Saba tasted fresh and was bursting with flavor and the yummy Durango roll was gigantic. My kid opted for the Serra Special which was a meal in itself and absolutely divine. I‘m pretty fond of the setting it definitely had an Asian nautical vibe that was relaxing and warm. The owner is fabulous, we were fortunate she was our server as she was super attentive. They do have beer but unfortunately no 99's which is the only knock ?. You do have choices in sushi in our little town, don't ignore this spot ?Our PSA: Please like our page, follow us and share our posts if you dare ?The Pudding Creek Trestle #eatlocal #sushi Only in Fort Bragg #yummy

Overtime Brewing

We met a friendly older gent near the Depot Mall & Museum while deciding on fare options for dinner. He suggested several spots around town based on our discussion, initally mentioning Overtime if we wanted a decent burger and brews. He eventually looped back around to it after sharing his opinion, positive and negative, on some of the options we were looking at and some others we hadnt. He was forthcoming in saying he worked at Overtime and asked if we had dogs with us, going on to say if we came around back hed have some bacon for them. Decided to give it a shot. Its a fun pub style spot with decent fare and great brews. Around back meant there was an actual outdoor deck to eat at, but we ended up eating inside. It is a good place to go for a grass fed beef burger. I often get a double at places, but the Overtime Burger was plenty on its own and they even offered a GF bun for folks with sensitivities/Celiacs. Fries were a bit overcooked/stubby like they were at the end of the bag but mostly eddible. Husband and I ordered our Overtime Burgers medium rare and it came as requested, juicy burger and generous strips of bacon and blue cheese on mine. My parents dogs also got their bacon too as promised from the friendly gent I believe to be either the cook and/or owner/brewer of the eatablishment. Got some Mac n Cheese (large shells with generous cheese & bacon) w/o Jalapeños as requested for my kiddo as well. Parents got an Overtime Burger and chicken sandwich and seemed happy with it. Shared some delicious brussel sprouts with them. Even if you arent looking for food, definitely stop in for their brews. Hubs had himself a 20/20, had blackberry undertones, while my mother got the Part-time Porter, nice dark and rich beer. Had some sips, both were great. Rose Lemonade was also good. Ended up buying a couple Snifters and got a Overkill (Chocolate Raspberry Imperial Stout) and a 20/20 to take home. Overkill was a delightfully rich and robust beer to enjoy while stargazing later that night. Might pick up some more beer on our way out of town. Thank you for a lovely evening with good food, a nice atmosphere, and excellent brews. ?
The Pub at North Coast Brewing Co.

It was a horrible dining experience. The food was so bad. I had never had a salad tasted so bad that I couldn’t even it . It was BBQ chicken salad and the chicken was hard and cold with tons of BBQ dressing and chips . I had asked nicely to have dressing aside but of course they totally ignore it and literally kill my salad with over dressing it. My husband order fish and chips but it came with half fish and half shrimp and got charged more for this wrong order . Since I couldn’t eat my food, so I had a piece of fried shrimp that was as bad as my salad. It tasted so fishy and undercooked. Won’t never go back again for sure and really like to take time to write up this review to advice visitors don’t get fool from its look . There are a couple Japanese restaurants at the same area and their food are much better . Eating bad food from nice looking restaurant is bad experience.
Mendolasa Cafe

While fully masked and vaccinated, we walked into the OPEN and branded back door entrance of this cafe, only to get screamed at for entering someone's place of business, in an attempt to order food. The cafe worker/owner used profanity and was yelling at us in full force, we didn't even have a chance to apologize for entering through the “wrong” door, because she slammed the door in our faces as we backed out utterly confused. I happily did not waste my $ here and instead decided to write this review. From reading the other comments, this business is clearly run by not a friendly person.Edit to follow up to the owners reply:You might want to consider removing the cafe sign and welcoming area that looks like an entrance off the parking lot or simply hanging a Do Not Enter sign in the back. I am from out of town and clearly never visited your establishment. Why and how would I know that you can't walk into an open door of a restaurant that's off the parking lot!!!! Also you could have simply said to us, please walk around to the front and we would have apologized and happily obliged. Our goal is not to bring harm or make anyone feel uncomfortable in these times. You clearly have no idea how to communicate, be kind or treat people with respect.
OMEO Suites Glass Beach
763 N Main St, Fort Bragg, CA 95437, United States
My husband and I are fron England and had flown into Boston MA, this hotel was booked as part of our journey to San Francisco,to visit our son, to be honest as it was 22.30 before we arrived we had no other choice but to stay the night. The gentleman who was on recrption was very welcoming and gave us our room key .The room we were given had no soap just three containers of Conditioner, I went to place a drink bottle in the fridge to be greated by a food container, i then checked bed side table and found there was something left there. Hence housekeeping not doing there job properly.I went to reception where the person duty was most appologetic and moved us to another room which turned out to be an Accessability room, it had cheap plastic pumps containing hand and shower gel and shampoo the last one was conditioner. When you used the pump the liquid dripped onto the floor. We were told it had previously belonged toTravelodge and that they were working to upgrade it. The paint job was sloppy, they seem to think having a towel which has their OMEO logo on it and a Bathrobe was more important that good decor. The place looks tatty. We were advised that coffee and snacks was available from 8am, when we came hand our keys in I saw no snacks, the coffee cups when filled you could not hold it, there were no sleeves to put around the cups. The lady who was on reception was not exactly a friendly person on our checkout. My husband and I would not recommend OMEO as a place to stay, if it had not been so late at night when we arrived, we would most definately not have stayed and I would have forgone the money I paid for the room and moved onto someewhere else.
