I didnt pay for the meal so Im not 100% sure on all the prices since I didnt get to see my bill.I felt the sashimi and sushi combination plate was priced ok except there was no variety in it. The pieces were generous in size but it was a repeat of both sides. So you ended up with 4 pieces of the same fish with only 3 different kindsService was rather lackluster. There was no quality check. I was out of tea for a long time. The server didnt have everything ready before our meal so we had to wait for the Utensils while our food had already been served.If it was based on the service its a 3.The albacore tuna had a bit of the iridescent color which makes me think it wasnt stored properly. The fish tasted fine though.Everyone enjoyed their meals, but if it was only based on this dinner they might have gotten a 3.This place can get very busy as there arent that many great Japanese restaurants nearby. It has a parking lot but it can fill up easily.

Nice to have Japanese restaurant near by the house. This is the best Japanese restaurant with great service. Foods is really good! (This a five star here)

I regret to inform all of my family and friends, that the owner/partner CJ, no longer wants me part of the business. Reason being, I stood up for myself and my fellow employees. TWICE, he was late on our pay. So this past week, I informed him I would not allow another late check, as I have a family to support. I demanded mine and my fellow employees checks...he didnt like my attitude!!!I dont know anyone in their right mind who wouldnt want their paychecks on time???Be weary eating here, the owners enjoy storing things and preparing meats improperly. Its another thing he hated about me and our crew. WE PROTECTED the integrity of our food, kitchen and county laws, which they dont want to abide by...because they are minor things they are doing wrong ???? How many of us know, how quickly something minor, can become major. I am not one to sit back and allow my fellow community to get sick, be in danger and or be unhappy. I tried to accommodate any way I can to serve my customers, though to them, thats not how they want it ran. They want you to buy only how they serve it. Which, quite frankly, I feel is not great customer service.I tried my hardest to do something good and I was bullied for it. So now, I will inform my community of how horrid Cj runs his business ?♀️?♀️ @Teriyaki Stop YC Mall

Ive been eating here regularly for 17 years (since the day it opened). There are so many excellent, and highly varied, choices on the menu that it never gets old-- plus the owners are wonderful, caring people. I love all of the Asian dishes-- and Ive had all of them. The Sushi is excellent (Bruce used to be a bay area sushi chef-- the sushi is 100% fresh made and perfect every time); the bulgoki and Kim Chee are wonderful (the Kim Chee is homemade and the best you will ever have), the spicy pork is comfort food. The American side of the menu is great too-- terrific cheesesteak, BLTA, fries, etc. Even the Ice Tea is a cut above, and really enjoyable. For breakfast, they have all the diner favorites, as well as a few unique dishes. Great coffee. Prices are very reasonable, particularly given the quality. This little unassuming diner/café is really the best restaurant in town.
