I was looking for a new place to eat at in Vallejo, and the name caught my attention. I ordered the Fire Fries and the Korean Garlic Fried Chicken. They both were delicious and I will definitely be coming back. Great restaurant for Vallejo.

The ordering experience:I was asking how many flavors I can get for the half or full order. The guy kept on saying, its up to you how many flavors. When I selected my flavors he seems confused, I asked it again, he said the same thing. So I gave him my breakdown again. He told me our chicken is quire expensive to order that many. I reclarified it with him, how many flavors can I get for a half or full order? Thats the only time he said, oh, its 1 flavor for 10 pcs (half). Ordered half crispy wings (soy garlic - sauce on the side) and the yangnyeom wings. The price is more expensive than your typical chicken wings place such as firewings or wingstop.I ordered to-go so I am expecting about 15 mins wait to get the order done which was done about the expected time. The food:Got home and unpacked.thr food. The expectation was fairly high given that they are more expensive than the my go to wings place. One thing that is impressive is that the crispy wings looked and tasted crispy, and they got quite big size wings. However, a big flag to me was they never included the soy garlic sauce on the side. I purposely did that as I wanted to share my wings to my little boy who only likes plain chicken. The other flavor was all sauced up.First bite, i was surprised to get a bland taste. No seasoning, no saltiness. Its chicken tossed in their crispy batter then fried. I didnt expected it to be that bad for the price I paid. But I do wanted to give them a chance since there wasnt any sauce on the crispy chicken.I then took a bite on the yangnyeom wings... and to my dismay, the meat is tasteless. The sauce is ok, but the chicken meat is nothing to be desired. Super dissapointed with this considering their high price point.Im surprised they are getting 4 star review from other customers. I called them to let them know of my experience and that they forgot to add sauce to my order. To my surprise, the only thing that they offered is a 10% discount on my next visit which I declined as I am not planning on ordering again.Back to Firewings or would even pick Wingstop over Vons chicken. Honestly, this is wasted money. For 20 pcs, I spent about $38 which I could have gotten a lot more from the other stores.

K Manna
601 Tennessee St suite A, Vallejo, CA 94590, United States
God this place was good. This is one of those special spots: a family owned, inconspicuous strip mall joints serving some of (if not the) the best fried chicken Ive ever had.The food here is authentic and of the highest quality. We got the original wings and I really struggle to think of a single thing about them Id change. We also got a side of onion rings on a whim and they ended up being the best Ive ever had. There was a bit of a wait for the food. Everything is made to order and brought directly to you. But honestly Id wait twice as long given how good it was.The interior is nice and modest; simple and clean. The area the restaurant is in a less-than-nice area and while nothing happened we were sure not to leave anything in our car and felt a little sense of heightened caution. I certainly wouldnt blame them for that though. Were fully intending to come back and try some different items and sauce flavors. If youre in the Bay Area and love Korean fried chicken K Manna is legitimately worth a pilgrimage. Ive had nothing else here even come close.

Korean Fried Chicken & Box

Food was fresh, tasty and best of all not oily.. chicken was cooked perfect... Moist and lots of flavor! Service was friendly and welcoming. So happy to have a Korean place so close to home, cant wait to come back and try the other dishes ?We dined in for lunch on Easter Sunday. They have tables for sitting down but it seems the majority of orders are to-go. Because of this they were able to accommodate our party of 6 right away. Dine-in service was served in to-go containers but we didnt have a problem with it. If we had leftovers it was already packaged, but we didnt have leftovers ?Pardon my pics. I had hungry people at the table and they dug in right away before I remembered to take pics of the food ? if the pics come up in the order of posting:- menu- soft tofu soup (meat)- japchae- seafood pancake- fried dumplings- magic sprinkle half order (my personal fave)- soy garlic half order

168 Market

Well my experience shopping at 168 market was very nice. I went there once on my bike and the security guard watched my bike for me theyre very nice but didnt really have what I was looking for that day but I went yesterday with my husband 11/21/2023 that was his first time I laughed at him cause he was taller then everybody in there. I bought the rest of my thanksgiving food and let me tell you all the meat and seafood department is on point, clean fresh looking seafood great prices I can do for awhile I was a regular at Walmart but the food just got to high for my pockets. 168 is like a mini seafood city its nice and they got a hot deli as soon as I taste that Ill leave another review. The best part is I only live across the street. Thank you for bringing a different flavor to the neighborhood we needed a little change. But I think they should have like food other than Asian food I only say that cause of the location somebody told me the reason why they only have their type of food is because they only want their people to shop there but I dont think Thats true at all because they wouldnt have put their store right there. I havent been back but I will in do time.??????

Provisions

Nothing wrong with the food. The food is very good. Historically, the service has been hit and miss. But this time around our server was very good and we left them a good tip.But we had a very bad experience with the owner and management of the place. This past weekend I took my wife and children there to have some brunch. We got seated right away, and we order our food with no issues. But we also decided to get some mimosas. My wife decided to get a regular mimos for about $8, I decided to get the bottom-less mimos for about $21, because I figured I would want at least two. I figured I would get about four or five for a bit more money, so that is what I picked.Everything was going fine until about my fourth one. By the time my wife got up to remind them to get them my fifth (pretty small glass flutes, and I am about 180 pounds), they started looking at us sideway. I guess they thought we were cheating. But we had not quite gotten that at the time.Towards the end of that fith flute, my wife took a sip or two of it, and so before I was about to get my next refill, some nasty lady came by and said that the next refill would be my last. Then before that even happened, the owner (we know her caue we go there often) stopped by and tried to take my glass away, but I didnt let her grab it, and explained to her that I was still waiting for more food. Then she chilled, and told me she would give me my last refill (which I think it was my sixth as I stated earlier), but that was the last one. Then our server came to appologize because they understood that by that point, other customers had noticed all the drama. My wife was very upset and embarrassed, so we told the server that what they had done was uncalled for. The server once again appologized and said that a lot of times people come and cheat. But I told him is not my fault that I am a sizable dude, who is not going to get drunk from some weak mimosas that easy, but that did not mean we were cheating.Frankly, if they have to police so heavily the bottom-less mimosas, then maybe dont sell them. Sell me a small pitcher instead, and leave me alone. Or charge a more fair price for the week, small mimosas so people can just order their three without going over $20. But you cannot have your cake and eat it too. The way they treated us (Im hispanic and my wife Black) was disgraceful. And we are never going back there. We will be tipping servers well, at places where they treat us with respect. We hope these people learn from this experience, and start treating others with respect, regardless of their ethnicitiy. It can be a new start for them, so that they stop losing customers. I hope the owner and management will respond to this message, and apologize. It is the least they can do.

Mare Island Brewing Co. Coal Shed Brewery
850 Nimitz Ave, Vallejo, CA 94592, United States
My boyfriend and I have been here twice now and both times were great. We've never run into a long line, at most 2-3 people in front of us and we've gone on a Saturday early afternoon/evening. Beers and food are ordered inside and you're given a food buzzer to take with you. Once your buzzer goes off, you pick up your order at the food truck outside.Picnic tables outside are clean but if you go too early in the afternoon, half of them are in the direct sun. They also have barstools facing the water for parties of 2-4 people. It would be nice if they had umbrellas for the tables further out or maybe some potted trees for shade. If there aren't any open shaded tables, you have no choice but to sit in the sun or inside. So far it's just been us two that have visited but this would be a great space for larger parties. There were also A LOT of kids running around, a few had scooters and skateboards since the area is all asphalt. Pets welcome too. We'll definitely be back but I'm hoping they shade the outside space eventually.

Mare Island Brewing Co. Ferry Taproom
289 Mare Island Way, Vallejo, CA 94590, United States
Even after complaining about the children running around and playing darts no one did a darn thing. The beers good so thats why they got a 1 star. If not I would have left 0 stars for the lack of management the lack of concern for all these kids running around this is called a brewing company, yet the excuse I was given was its a restaurant.Last time I checked, a restaurant has servers walking around making sure their tables are taken care of, not once was my table ever approached by a waitress or any other type of person that works there. In fact if you look at other reviews, they make the comment it would be nice to have servers kind of like a restaurant. When pointed out that this was a huge liability, again the bartender showed no concern even stated this is a restaurant.Nowhere on their menus, their sign outside does it say restaurant. It says Mare Island Brewing Company Tap Room, therefore, with alcohol being served, children should not be allowed in there! And ill mannered children with their parents drinking not paying attention to what their ill mannered children are doing should be banned.Avoid at all cost unless you like children running in to you and this was not early in the day when I visited it it was after 7 oclock at night.

YUMMY! The food was really tasty. Between Korean and Japanese bento. The service was friendly and helpful. THE restaurant is very small. Not many tables. Small and simple menu which I like. Didnt like the to go boxes since we were dine in but not the end of the world. Will definitely go back to try other items.
