Flame Broiler
15638 Whittwood Ln, Whittier, CA 90603, United States
We went to this Flame Broiler since it opened, not frequently but fairly often. I addition to getting dinner I would sometimes take one of their bowls for lunch. Then things started going down hill. Food really took a hit with quality. So we had not been there in some time. One evening my wife decided to give Flame Broiler another chance. She called and placed a take out order. She locked up the house and drove to Flame Broiler to pick up the order. When she arrived she told them which order she was picking up. The employee ar Flame Broiler told her that she had already picked up the order. My wife told her that she was 5 minutes early to pick up, who picked it up and when? Then the employees, including the manager, all got involved they each had a different story. My wife pulled out her phone and showed them the evidence of when she order the food and logically showed the employees how they were wrong. The manager escalated the situation saying she was calling the police if my wife didnt leave immediately. My wife decided she was dealing with an idiot and went to pickup dinner somewhere else. The next couple of days my wife tried contacting the store owner and manager, neither ever returned her call. She tried having the charge removed by the bank but couldnt because she used a debit card and not a credit card. Two lessons to be learned from this situation; first dont ever go to the Wittwood Flame Broiler, second always use a credit card instead of a debit card.

Tacos Y Que
12824 Hadley St #103, Whittier, CA 90601, United States
Tacos Y Que backs up the hype. Probably some of the most tasty tacos Ive ever had. We wanted to sample the flavor range. All were superb quality and quite large (2 tacos, satisfying. 3 tacos, hungry. 4 tacos...stuffed). Chicken was bomb, Korean beef was a welcomed addition, carne asada was done right, steak picado kicks you in the mouth.Service staff was fast and friendly. There is also an app you can order ahead or take out. Additionally, there are self service kiosks in the restaurant as well that made ordering a breeze. Some folks complained about the pricing. I disagree. I think for what you get portion wise and quality, they are on point.
ANB Japanese Grill
12548 Washington Blvd, Whittier, CA 90602, United States
It was our first time trying their food here and everything was so yummy! Their bento box is a lot of food for a good price. Salad, Rice with your choice of meat, 2 gyozas, fried tempura, miso soup, & 4 california sushi pieces. Everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken & the steak are soooooo bomb! Everything was really good. I enjoyed eating here for the first time, and I noticed they have really good customer service too. The cashier was so nice to everyone and he even had some regulars come in and he greeted them so nicely. He also asked us if everything was good. He checked up on us while we ate our food there. We cant wait to go back and try other dishes. I highly recommend this place if you love Japanese & grilled meat. Xoxo
Lucky Pig
15764 La Forge St, Whittier, CA 90603, United States
Lucky Pig, nestled in Whittier, offers a fusion of Korean and Japanese cuisine for both brunch and dinner seekers. As I stepped into the quaint eatery, I was greeted by a cozy ambiance and friendly staff. The menu boasted an intriguing blend of flavors, promising a unique dining experience. While the food at Lucky Pig was undeniably good, it fell short of greatness. The flavors were enjoyable but lacked the wow factor that distinguishes exceptional dining experiences. One disappointment was the miso soup, which arrived lukewarm instead of piping hot as expected. However, the katsu was a pleasant surprise—it wasnt as crunchy on the outside as I had hoped, but the juicy interior made up for it.Parking was a breeze, thanks to ample space available nearby. However, the restaurants interior felt a tad cramped, especially during peak hours like Sunday brunch. This lack of sufficient seating might deter diners seeking a leisurely meal, especially on busy days.Despite these minor flaws, Lucky Pig earns a solid 4-star rating from me, primarily due to its standout dish: the omurice. This Japanese comfort food classic was executed flawlessly, with a perfect balance of fluffy egg and savory rice—a true delight for the taste buds.In conclusion, Lucky Pig offers a charming dining experience with its Korean-Japanese fusion cuisine. While not without its shortcomings, the restaurants strengths, particularly its delectable omurice, make it a worthwhile destination for those craving a unique culinary adventure in Whittier.
Crooked Gaff Kitchen & Oyster Bar
13103 Penn St, Whittier, CA 90602, United States
Okay, we all need to venture out to Uptown Whittier more often. Decided to try this restaurant after we saw “My Whittier’s” social media post. We were hungry and all over the menu. I ordered Korean Pork Belly tacos, Esquite, and clam chowder. Husband ordered an Oyster shooter, shrimp cocktail, and shrimp tacos. We shared everything. I can’t even describe this elevated food. Everything was on flavor point! The chowder was a Smokey chowder and delicious! The shrimp cocktail and tacos were beefy shrimps! The Esquite was on point! My husband absolutely enjoyed his oyster shooter! This menu is robust! Seafood, burgers, oysters, fish and chips, the menu goes on! Come out and try it! Our server Mariana is a gem!! Sorry no photos.
Smoke and Fire Social Eatery
1327 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra, CA 90631, United States
I dont know where to start... Most of you probably saw this on Tik Tok and decided to try it out like me and my girl did. We were looking forward to this all week. We were finally able to make it out there on a Saturday. Like most places these days there is a line outside due to Covid. I have to give credit where its due, their line was moving along fast. I think there was 30 people or so, in front of us when we got in line. Took about 20 minutes to get to the register and place our order. Great organization of a line to get you in and out so you are not waiting long. Now for the reason I only gave it 2 stars. Like most of you you probably want to try the delicious looking version of the McRib. Get to the register and they inform us that they are sold out of the McRib. Why not put a sign out front that says they are sold out so people can decided if they still want to wait in line or not. We brushed it off and decided to they their Smash burger, pretzel, and criss cross fries. Criss cross fries amazing, Smash burger was OK nothing special just a regular smash burger. Their pretzel and cheese was such a disappointment. The pretzel was cold and chewy, the cheese they give you for the pretzel was cold and the amount they gave you was very little. You are left with half a cold chewy pretzel when you are done with your cheese. In conclusion: My tip for you guys that want to try the McRib. Go in and ask if they are sold out of the McRib before you wait in line . You want a pretzel with cheese? Ask for double cheese and have them warm it up before they bring it out to you.P.S. They have some awesome art ?
La Habra Towne Center

There are several delicious restaurants, and there is also a Korean bakery. In particular, Sams is one of the best malls where you can buy various items necessary for life cheaply.
Two Hands Corn Dogs
12726 Hadley St #102, Whittier, CA 90601, United States
First time here, they have a sign advertising their 5 pack of corndogs but the catch is you cant pick which corndogs you would like without a surprise up charge, in addition while paying with debit card theres a automatic 20% tip that is added to your check (you can edit it, but how many customers are in a hurry and just miss it).The corndogs are delicious, I tried a few different flavors but the spicy was the best but my problem was the hot cheetos dust was weeks old stale. The tater tots for the dirty fries were soggy and not very crispy.3 out of 5 stars.
Northgate Market
1305 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra, CA 90631, United States
I grew up in La Habra Heights but moved away several years ago out of state. On a recent visit to my parents, I went to Northgate Market to grab some produce for my bunnies. My dad had spoken about the new market and how much he liked it since it opened. When I was growing up the first grocery store I remember being in that space was Market Basket. Of course, since then its been several different grocery stores before it became Northgate. It sat vacant for many years before Northgate took it over. I was excited to see what it looked like inside.Wow, what an awesome store. The produce section was spectacular! They even had fresh chamomile in their herb section. They also had zucchini flowers which was amazing. The bakery smelt divine the taqueria was fabulous, and the fresh flowers that were offered were beautiful. Everything in the store was so well taken care of it was impeccable. The staff in the store were friendly, helpful, overall genuinely nice individuals. The woman who checked me out asked what I was going to do with the dill I was purchasing.I told her that the produce I was purchasing was for my bunnies and she smiled and said she loves to feed her bunnies dill as well. She shared photos of her bunnies and we had a bunny bonding moment. I cant stress enough how nice it is to meet genuine people.I know I talk about that a lot in my reviews but its so important because the people who care for and work in a space are putting their energy into everything. When you walk into it you feel it and its so wonderful to be able to walk into a space that has a high vibration of genuine kindness. Thats important.Visit the store. ?
Raku Teriyaki and Sushi Roll
5416 Norwalk Blvd # B1, Whittier, CA 90601, United States
Excellent prices for sushi. Not a lot of room to sit down, no actual dishes to eat off of (just paper/plastic plates and trays) and not much charm in the atmosphere there, this is a place to order to-go. The fish on the sushi was a bit warm for my taste, but everything tasted delicious anyway. I had to try the super dragon roll as the pictures looked amazing, and I have to say it didnt disappoint. Overall I really have no idea how this is the highest rated sushi place in Whittier, when there are probably sit-down restaurants that get the atmosphere right (though theyre probably more expensive). However that doesnt mean I wont be back, on the contrary, I will probably order from these guys again, whether through pick-up or through a delivery app. For these prices Im not sure if you can best their sushi, but Ive yet to try every sushi place in the area as I just moved to the area. Will update when Ive tried a few more places. As it stands Im sure you could find tastier sushi, but at what cost? These guys do a great job for a great price, and try to make you feel at home for the short time youre there.
